Betting on many matches is a sign that a bettor is betting to make a profit, while bettors who play on less than 3 matches are clearly looking for fun, whether it is to support their favorite team or just for a side entertainment. I personally gamble for 2 purposes, profit & also entertainment, i'm a Real Madrid fan, and when they have a match, i definitely support Real Madrid by betting, sometimes i also bet on other teams that i think have a very good chance of making a profit.

I don't agree with this because I make more profits when I focus on few matches than when I add too many matches. There are people I also know that rollover 3 odds from something small to a big amount of money. They can get the three odds from just two or three matches. In betting, the risk increases as the number events in the bet increases so you make more profits when the risk is lower than when the risk is higher. It may take you a long time to win when you play too many matches even though a single win will cover many losses. It depends on individual preference though but I believe playing few matches give more profits because the win rate is higher.

The number of bets does not seem to be an accurate depiction of whether the bettor is betting just for fun, because perhaps the small number of matches where the bettor bets because that is the only match that he is sure or confident that he can win, because no matter what, gambling for fun still hopes to win, likewise when betting on many matches it could be because there are indeed many matches that have very interesting opportunities and the chances of winning are wide open.

Bets are usually taken for the purpose of profit, here one does not bet as a hobby but people bet with risk because there will be profit. But betting is not only for the favorite team. Rather, the bet is on the team that is stronger and will play better than the opponent. My favorite team in cricket is Bangladesh i.e. as a Bangladeshi citizen I don't want to support outside Bangladesh but I never bet for Bangladesh when Bangladesh plays a cricket match with Australia or India. Regardless of my favorite team here as profit or loss comes up, I never want to accept guaranteed defeat with a smile.  That's why I am not ready to bet for Bangladesh as a Bangladeshi even though I am a favorite team.

If it were a guaranteed defeat, I believe most of us would avoid betting on our team. I don't really understand the point the OP is raising; why should there be a distinction between betting for fun and for profit? Why not both? It's perfectly feasible. I place bets on a variety of matches and teams in order to achieve the best results possible. I'll even place bets against my favorite team if I believe that there's no way they're winning. That doesn't mean I don't gamble for entertainment; I'm combining both.

I think you don't get what i mean, i say that a gambler who bets on many matches, we can be sure they are gambling to make a profit, while those who bet on fewer matches, usually they are just looking for fun.

I'm not a newbie in gambling, i know that when you bet more money on a match, then you can get even bigger profit than betting on many matches. But it is not apple to apple, you can get a lot of profit from less matches because you bet with big money. Then what if the person who bets on many matches also uses big money? is your statement still relevant here?

Gamblers who bet for fun or for profit are not restricted on the number of bets they make; when it comes to betting, every gambler is different from one another, in terms of money they spend and time they can allocate, its the end result that will judge them if they are playing for profit or fun or they are really addicted to gambling

I'm not if the odds is too great and there's little chance that my favorite will win it will not hurt if I bet against them for profit, its not that you are betraying your loyalty; its just the gamblers in you that wants to take the opportunity to make money at that situation

It is always betting on the favorite team because it is familiar with the team's squad, even myself more than 5 matches in multi bets in different leagues over the past week.

Bettors will obviously see in terms of profit first, for example, the favorite team has small odds when entered into multi bets it will increase its chances.
 Even I consider betting for fun maybe they will choose single bets and only one match on their favorite team, the rest of the bettors are usually looking for profits but none of them are addicted.

No, I don't search for the profit from gambling. I gamble for fun and only place a bet if I know the team that will match. But sometimes, if I really want to bet, I just pick random team in the list on my Stake account and check if I know the team. If I know, I just copy that bet and place the money for bet. The money is very small so if I win, that will not be too big. Only by doing that I can prevent the lose because I realize that I can not analyze better like other people.

Those who expect winning from gambling must understand that gambling will not give them winning as much as they want. But betting on favorite team will be good if they have a big chance to win against the opponent. But if we predict they can not win from the opponent, it is better not to place a bet for them.

As far as I am concerned, I always have the opinion that some people gamble so intensively for profit alone; that's why they easily get addicted, while a few people still gamble for fun. Those who only bet on their favorite teams don't do it for fun but they do it as a token of support because they feel they are showing support for their team if they do this. Those who gamble for fun would bet on literally any team they enjoy watching the most, or maybe if they have plans for watching a game with friends or family members and make a small bet only to spice things up a little bit.

Those who gamble for gains wouldn't have a single favorite when it comes to making bets because they will always watch games and stay up to date with the stats, facts, and figures so that they can have an idea about how each team is doing and where they can make a bet, so they are always looking for opportunities to make their bets so that they can make some easy money.

Of course, the few matches that you bet on limit your chances of running at loss because the more the games are many, the more your chance to win is limited and that is what also applies to casino games. The more you play, the ore your chances of losing is high. I don't like compounding my games but am cool with few games to enable me have a better chance of winning my bet. I could remember some months back that I placed a bet on three matches, I don't know what got over me and I decided to add two more games and that was how I ruin my bet because the first three games came out as predicted and the additional two cut my slip.

I think it depends on individual choice, some persons can be playing for fun and select just few games while some other person can choose many games. What matters is the mindset and the reason why you are playing,  it could be that one is playing because he wants to make profit or just playing for fun, it doesn't matter the number of games selected.

For me I agree on the fact that betting for fun should be betting done on a favourite team and some other supported team altogether. Because I don't see reason why someone will keep on gambling for money by selecting accumulative games and still tag it as gambling for fun. There should be a Level or classification of betting where fun betting should be considered as fan betting. maybe betting a favourite team and betting for money is betting on lots of accumulated matches for the money than mixing them up. Although both party will still get angry if they lose because no body want to lose. everyone wants to win.

This is 2024 apart from gamblers that like to experiment with casino games that has no control whatsoever I doubt that they are gamblers that actively play sports betting with the intention of having fun only. Losing doesn't come with a nice feeling, I remember when my friend that trades forex decided to bet on a game and coincidentally his favorite team which was Manchester united were the ones playing. The odds given to Manchester to win was 2 odds so he decided to stake a hundred thousand naira on his favorite team to win, He claimed he was just gambling for fun but staked such a huge amount of money, the game ended up as a draw and he was feeling upset about it. It doesn't matter if you bet for fun or profit losing would still distabilize you.

I have a favorite team but I don't have to always gamble on my team, because the fun comes with winning and my money will multiply, unless it's a match with a team I hate, although I doubt I will choose my favorite team.

Gambling does not follow any particular pattern. People gamble based on love for clubs, fun or money. Additionally, I have not come across any statistics indicating that bettors on one to three matches are merely recreational gamblers. When it comes to sports betting, an informed gambler has the freedom to select more than ten games.

I am aware that certain individuals are so devoted to their teams that they will never stop betting on them. In gambling, club loyalty is optional because, should your favorite clubs perform poorly, you will not want to wager on them. Regardless of the number of games or club, I wager on games based on my analysis.

Well, first of all, gambling for fun requires alot of discipline, this is if we actually still have people around that gamble for fun.
And one of the disciplines gambling for fun requires is that, the gambler must avoid a lot of games, specially the ones there are not so sure about their chances of winning.

Like you have rightly said, even those who gamble for fun still delight themselves in winning, that is, they are happy when they win, and sad when they lose. So, to avoid loses as much as possible, they have no choice but to be selective in the games they are betting on, because choosing to bet on lots of games simply increases their chances of losing more money than they are likely to win.

So yeah, for those gambling for fun, they have to be selective, and the best team they bet on should be the ones they are more familiar with, which is their own favorite team or the next options.

It can happen. Some people are truly a fan of their favorite team and they will only place a bet when their team is playing. If they are not, then there's nothing to be done. It's not like everyone is a gambler that always check the games on the sport that they love.

For example, I like the Denver Nuggets and the Dallas Mavericks because they are my favorite teams, but what if that day the teams that will be playing are the Detroit Pistons and the Portland Trail Blazers? Should I be forced to make a bet? No! Both teams suck and I won't force myself to bet with teams that won't even entertain me. So, I guess it will depend on each gambler. They have their own choices and some believe they will just bet for their team whenever there's a game.

People keep enjoying watching games and we know they want to add some spices to their game reason why they add a bet on it now its depend on how people treat the use of the gambling, could be their goal is they just want to watch, enjoy and relax watching game just to support their favorite team and hope to win the game with extra money or just casual gambler who want to seek the opportunity to gain money over the game. If you don't really care about the money its okay but people recently enjoying getting profit through different games seems they made a full time job right there is to learn money.
