I agree with what you said, it depends on the mindset of each individual which in fact certainly not everyone will have the same thoughts completely, but in terms of gambling it is possible that most people think that they can get victory and maybe even some think they can quickly achieve wealth just by gambling when in fact it will only make them bankrupt, even I think stress or depression is a result of gambling which is considered a source of income.

By realize the fact that gambling can make many more bankrupt and live in poverty, people must not use gambling as a way to make money or even a source of income. They must think the other ways to make money so they can search for a job. If they want to playing gambling, they must have control over themselves so they will not get addicted to gambling. Unfortunately, this is true, because most people don't win, but lose money in casinos and betting. You don't have to be a genius to understand that all the prize money that the lucky ones get is not the casino's personal money, but the money of those who lost.
