Gambling has the potential to distroy a man's carrear by firstly making his financial system instable always recycling his fund to betting. After several attempt of betting and no  win, and There is no hope of winning, then thinking and anxiety plus frustration will help to eliminate such person.

Relying on gamble to earn for the purpose  of living is an error that needs to be rethinked. Because that can also be the shortest route to getting a gambler depressed to the level of losing his life by committing suicide.  Those who see gamble  more than a mere game of luck are likely  to gamble even with their last funds and eventually loss it to gamble. When people get used to earning from gambling, they become addicted soon later. This addiction not only destroys their finances, but also everything including their families, careers and businesses.

I don't think anyone is really used to winning from gambling, meaning that they always win or win more than they lose. All those who have won more than they spent from gambling are people who have lost many times before they were lucky one time to win an amount that compensates for all previous losses, and they are considered an exception if we compare their number to the total number of gamblers. At first I read this as a full-time worker in gambling or at the casino, and that is the reason why I hastily reply here and my reply if ever is going to be against you, because there are actually lots of casino workers now that are working in full time, as casinos are a booming business now. That only proves that if you don't have discipline and control when gambling, you will definitely fall into poverty. You are mostly right with all that you have said, but the part of your comment I do not agree with is the part you said gambling is a bad addiction. It's bad to end up in or with such conclusion and mindset.

Gambling is only addictive, same way other stuffs like food, watching TV, smart phones, trading, alcohol, smoking, s@x, traveling, driving and a host of other stuffs and activities can be addictive, and this does not mean that every one who gambles is addicted to gambling. I agree with you, we should not have the thought or assumption that we can become rich or achieve wealth just by gambling, although there is a chance to win but we know that winning in gambling is difficult to get, let alone a big win with a small win is difficult to happen or get, let alone a big win that rarely happens or is obtained by someone who gambles. it's not everyone that needs to gamble. If you know that you have the tendency of getting too addicted in terms of engaging in a thing as gambling, there's nothing wrong if you don't do it at all. The government has a small role to play in terms of reducing the rate of exposure of people to gambling expecially the underage ones but when it comes to an adult that's matured enough to make decisions for himself, you should know how best not to allow yourself to get exposed to the tendency of becoming a gambling addict.

I always prefer to look at the situation from an analytical point of view. If someone lost everything and became poor, it means that the casino got his money, but at the same time, not everyone can lose, which means that the casino will give away part of this loser's money as winnings. And that means there will be those who win, it is inevitable. This principle also works the other way around. Therefore, when I hear that someone won the jackpot, I understand that this money was lost by a large number of people at one time.
