I don't know, but I would just let him do the things that he wants if I were you. Don't mind him and let him realize that what he's doing is wrong. Sooner or later, he will realize that what he's done is a complete mistake. Actually, there is nothing wrong with gambling, you are free to gamble but as long as you can really divide your time well and also as long as you gamble with the right approach in the sense of being full of limits on time and the amount of money at stake, because that way you will also definitely avoid various possible bad impacts.

Thinking that gambling is a quick solution to difficulties is certainly a wrong way of thinking, because people who think like that are only likely to make them more difficult in the future because they will most likely only think about gambling even when they only have a small amount of money, the main thing on their mind is to double it in gambling with a small chance of being able to win.

I kinda agree to this sentiment but from the people that have built up some sort of wealth, it's unlikely they would lose everything.

But for many people that are on the edge of poverty, their gambling habit can actually keep them in substantial poverty. So it's something that is causing a lot of people to remain poor. So in the long term it would be ideal to implement some sort of income based limits on the gambling platforms that are most prevalent. The UK is already implementing such system and it's helping quite a few people. Of course those more familiar with online systems would find loopholes and play with VPN, crypto, unlicensed casinos or Curacau ones etc.

So I agree with the OP but the proposed solutions are quite restrictive and only help people who have only knowledged to access proper licensed platforms. If someone wants to ruin their wealth otherwise, they'll always be other ways.

Well you are right, but I see no how gamble addiction can ruin someone's life spiritually (am still wondering how ) but nevermind if it can ruin one's life physically it means it could affect him or her both spiritually. However, to control ourselves so that we won't become addicted to gamble, we really need to be more responsible while gambling, by not risking what we can not afford to lose.
