What do you think could be the main reason people care or don't care about prices of products/services while making purchases? You think it's due to economic status, are there other reasons you can think of?

There is a specific reason why someone bargains or compares the prices of the products they want to buy, and I think it's not about economic status, because I've seen someone who is quite rich compare prices when they want to buy an item. So maybe it goes back to the individual, there are indeed people who are more specific about the price when they want to buy an item, but there are also those who don't care about the price and buy it straight away because they think it's just a waste of time and they can afford it.

Haggling is definitely an art—it takes courage, and a bit of quick wit. Like me, I finally mustered up the nerve to give it a try, only for the shopkeeper to shut me down with a single "that's the lowest price." Bargaining attempt: failed, no surprises there. I'm personally not too good in bargaining and I'm not rich but I don't see it as a waste of time. I always preferred to be accompanied to get some things from store with someone who can bargain very well since I'm not good in it or I enquire about the possible price in case I'm going alone. Once I ask the attendant for the price and they give me higher price than I am familiar with, I will just leave to next store. It's annoying how sellers put high price on their products and expect you to bargain since we have forcefully make it a norms. I don't know for others but if I have a chance to review it, I will definitely review it. You ask for the price and you pay if you can afford it because they will just tell you the exact price that you don't need to bargain.

From my experience with some of my friend and most of them is Gen Z and millenials, many of them have become price sensitive, "trading down" either by buying cheaper alternatives or reducing the quantity of what they purchase. But in some cases depends on their income and the product, if they think it's worth it, like some brand that has reputable value they will buy even if they need to spend more money.

But in general, other factors may involve product knowledge and trust of the brand. For the customer to be well acquainted with a certain product or to think a brand gives out green or quality goods, then they are very likely to pay the listed price without bargaining. In contrast, however, some are more apprehensive and want to negotiate, especially when suspected by them that traders mark up the prices depending on a client's apparent affluence.

There are places where there's no room for bargaining, where every products have their price tags on them like in supermarkets. That is not the problem, the main problem is how expensive the shop could be because there are some people I mean, some shopping center that are so moderate whereby you wouldn't have that time and space to price. Most of the shops or mall already have their price tags were it would be too hard for you to price, so when notice such a thing I slowly moved down to the next shop to compare prices and of course if the variation is not much I will buy when next the preferred shop didn't have that product. Looking at the way the country is going couples with the inflation I don't buy things without minding how much I spend on goods or products because as a matter of fact it's something to be considered and it helps to save some funds back to our (my) pocket.

Simple as short, people doesn't argue on purchasing products or deliberating on service payments just because they can afford the price and they may have a lot of inflow funds from their income. Some persons also live by that just to keep hyping personality even when they can't maintain that status in the long run.

In most cases, comparing the same products and the prices in different shops is good. Like in the country where I am from, there's a lot of fake products and they look like the real (original) products, with the same designs and you might be confused when you see the both of them. The only way you could differentiate between fake and the original products is unless the person that produced the fake products didn't package it in well.
So , if you stay in a city/country like this comparing price of the same goods in different shops won't be bad, and the other thing is that if you do not have sufficient money to buy the product you want, you could look for a cheaper one to buy instead of owing the seller of the products.

Some shopping places that already have price tags, of course we can't bargain in shopping, if we want to shop and can bargain, of course this can be done in the market where the price of the goods is not labeled so that we can bargain according to the price we want but still at a reasonable price and if the buyer can give it as we want even with a small profit they get.

Actually, bargaining in business is a common thing and is not a matter of people who have no money or people who have a lot of money. We do this so as not to be deceived, because sometimes sellers deliberately raise the price so that we can offer it to buyers. In addition, this is done to reach a mutual agreement so that bargaining in business is something that cannot be separated.

However, there are some people, bargaining does not apply to people who have high self-esteem or prestige, they tend to pay immediately if the price is right, but if the price of the item is considered too high, they will move to another place. I agree with you in this one mate, I just let her to that job of comparing prices and where is the best place to buy this things. Although sometimes our arguments goes to whether to go to supermarket or a wet or dirty market here.

Cause if you compare the price, yeah some is lower, but there are items too in a place that is higher on others so you have to go there? For me it doesn't make sense at all, the difference is not that big so just go on one place and buy everything. No need to compare as it just add up to the cost and if you average it in the long run, it could be the same. I know that you can't bargain in a supermarket, but there are items that has more quality as compare to a wet market, in my opinion.

A lot of questions in one sentences. Before I purchase anything, I make sure I know the average price that item is selling for, if it's selling for $120, I will keep it in mind this is the amount it's sold so that other vendors wouldn't take advantage of me or cheat me in anyway and when I eventually visit any of the outlets or stores where they are been sold, I don't expect the price to be way above $125 or perhaps lower just maybe there might be excess supply.

I think most of the time people price things is be because it's their nature. Here in Africa, mothers are very good in pricing anything they want to buy even though they have the money with them, they don't pay immediately they tell them the amount, they have to negotiate and make sure the price is lower than the amount been sold and in general, I think people price because they want it cheaper even if they have the money with they have the money.

Im a type of person who dont really bargain at all specially into those merchants who are selling which are old or someone you could really be able to find out on supermarkets or any other area.
You cant be able to bargain on malls and other shopping centers on which thiis is considered fixed. If its on sale then your lucky but if not then it would really be regulat price.

We do know that those sellers are really that selling out for profit. There are really just those people who do want to bargain on getting the item or product as low as possible when it comes into its price.
There's no hard mon asking for some lowering the price yet we do have the full rights on what we should gonna do. There are really just that those individuals that dont really care

When it comes to comparing prices then i would really be that sometimes checking out specially if i do see some of those items in other locations

Bargaining is part of business, and I bargained, of course, to get the best prizes, because buying a product or commodity at the best price possible gives you a sort of extra joy; likewise, buying a certain commodity or paying for a product with an extra cost gives you the feeling that you were cheated when you later get to find out that you could have gotten it at a cheaper rate. Individuals who bargain are financially conscious and may be doing it because they are on the strict budget.

You are correct. Bargaining in business is not just because you don't have enough money or you want to save some money, but I think in business there is flour for negotiation always and this is what makes business to be interesting.  It doesn't make sense for one to buy things without bargaining, no matter how rich you may be especially on things that the prices are fixed. It is only with goods and services that already have a fixed price and their is no need for negotiation.

Bargaining price means one has good value for money, which it is not suppose to be wasted because one has it so much. In business it also important to bargain for personal satisfaction. Business is all about having a good deal between buyer and the seller.

The economic situation we are in tells us to research the appropriate price because if we do not want to have financial difficulties, we have to do price research. If we have the chance to find the same product with the same quality at a cheaper price, we should take this chance. There are sellers in the market who put the price tag they want and the government cannot prevent this, so we should do a thorough research before shopping and shop at a suitable price for our economy. We should prefer to bargain when buying goods in places where we have the chance to bargain. There is a certain amount of bargaining room in every good, and this bargaining room can be beneficial for our economy.

While the other way round a poor person does vise versa. Meaning they literarily price everything to see the cheapest before buying. Then the human mentality I mean is that there are men who has pass through life hardship and later became rich, they hardly buy things peaceful without thinking that they are alway been chaeted. That's why they behave so.

Most people know the worth of what they are pricing without being told, that is why they don't bother to know how much it cost. But Most people also don't know the value of  what they intend buying, so they end up pricing everything.
