One mistake that a lot of people that are new to making money make is that they feel bargaining or comparing prices makes them less or inferior, this is actually a very terrible mindset. Most rich people don't just purchase things anyhow because they know that wealth isn't easy to acquire. There's no point in buying something at a high price knowing fully well that you can get it somewhere else less than that amount, bargaining helps you cut cost and save money. Another thing is the patience to bargain, instead of just agreeing to the price try to cut it down to what you think is reasonable enough before purchasing it.

Actually i could attest to this kind of situation on which there are realy those individuals who are really that getting ashamed on the moment that they do ask for some discount on which same as you said that they do really have those thoughts that if other people do sees them about asking for some discounts do really give out that kind of feeling of inferiority on which this is really that indeed wrong mindset to have.
If you are really that trying out to save then you will really be trying out to make some negotiations whether it does have a chance to make its price lower but of course if they do reject it out then dont push it, as simple as that. We should really be always wary that asking for discounts will really be also basing up into the location of the store whether its a small or a marketplace on which there's really that indeed a right time on where you could ask out for those prices.

Trying to make out some differentiation is something that not a bad thing because earning money is never been easy and its true that even rich people will really be minding about on the expenses on which they would be making on which they would really be trying out to choose up on things on which they could see on where they could save on. How much more for those people who are sitting below those lines?
It would be something having some sense on doing such stuff.

Personally, I am reluctant to bargain in the market, I tend to compare and see the suitability of price with quality so I think it's more effective.
Regardless of whether people are rich or not, I don't think anyone wants to spend their money to buy something that doesn't match the value.

Mind you the personality of a thing is also shaped by the financial capacity of the individual. Because it could really be self draining to set oneself high above his level in maintaining a lifestyle that's doesn't match his status. Am saying this because I have seen some clowns who just live a lifestyle they can't afford which includes having the personality of never wanting to bargain price for an item before buying.

Sadly, the poor do this alot more than even the rich guys. I don't why or what makes them act that way especially when they get into a classy store or market place they tend to act as though they don't have value for their money.

Good point, as there are really people who have this type of personality thinking that they will be look rich if they will not as for a discount or they wanted to look rich in terms of buying expensive things which is not match with their financial status, though there are many people who still aiming for bargain or discounted amount as they are valuing their money.

In terms of bargaining, you need to know the product and the owners business strategy as you can get something lesser if you know when the store will offer discounted price or the timing for sales month or inventory which most of the time offers bargain prices.

When someone just has an income and ignores bargaining when buying an item, of course they will regret it when they see the item they bought is below the price when they bought it and this will also make the income they have spent on things they don't need, so it is very important to be able to know the price of an item when we want to buy it so that we don't spend more money on items that we can get cheaper than what we want to buy. In making an offer when buying, of course we have to ask for a reasonable amount, don't let us bid on an item with an unreasonable amount given by the seller, of course they can't give it and if it is still at a reasonable price, of course they will give it if they really want the item they are selling to sell quickly.

 Most times I would not be too bothered about the price of products if I think they're worth it, or if I think that's actual price of the product, whether I can easily afford the price or not.  And I often times price things quite low when I'm not sure about the real price or the true worth/value, hoping to get the sellers bring them lower down to their actual worth. Some sellers tend to move things up too high if they think they are uncommon and attractive, or the buyers are rich. Once I suspect this kind of sellers I either bargain hard, tell them I'm not too rich or check somewhere else where I will try to appear not-too-rich or pretend to be already familiar with the products

Of course I compare but that has nothing to do with my budget, really, because I do this for simple reason, I don't want to spend more than it worth. If I see that there is a Peanut Butter in store for 4 Euro and there is the same quality peanut butter with a different branding for 7 Euro, I'll buy the one that cot 4 Euro because it will be stupid from me to carelessly spend 3 Euro.

The main reason of why people care or don't care about prices, is very different for different classes of people. Poor class and middle class care about prices because their income doesn't give them the luxury to not care about it. If they ignore it and don't care, then they'll be forced to balance it by saying no to something that they want.
And for rich people? Some care and some don't care, as simple as it is. By the way, it depends on what we are talking about. Rich people have different problems about prices.

Me personally I don't see anything wrong with bargaining everyone have their capability and what they will be able to afford and the way the rich and average person will take things into their hands is different when it comes to purchasing power it can not be compared, and rich people love to brag about the prices of the commodity they bought and so you don't expect to be equal since what everyone is looking is somthing that is less and they can afford easily.

And if not for malls that have decided that they want to put a specific amount of price on their goods and they won't change it and you will not be able to bargain the same time, this is the reasons for all this things, and that is why a lot of people are avoiding malls and prefer to go the market were they will be able to bargain to be able to get it for a lesser price, their is nothing different from what they are selling in the market so if not that people want to be recognized, especially when it comes to spending money.

For me I think it’s highly dependent on what I am out to get. Perhaps it’s something I’ve thought of getting in a while, I’ve got to do some research to know what’s the price range for which that commodity could be purchased for and when am out there trying to purchase that commodity, I’m sure to be looking out for that price range as, not to be over priced. I wouldn’t want to get an item and find out that I was greatly cheated on, in what I would have considered a good deal. I wouldn’t like that very much though, I still wouldn’t mind. It’s business and what counts is your bargaining power.
If you were unable to bargain better and cit price to its minimum, that’s on you.
Though, there are items that don’t need barging, you just get it and that’s it.

I was fed up with cleaning backyard with rake, so I have visited local hardware store to check prices on leaf blowers and maybe get a consultation. I was not in no rush to buy them, and told sales man that I will wait for discount on blackfriday and would probably purchase it. He has told that he is giving discount right now if I really plan to buy it. Without even having an intention to bargain, I have saved 20% on a seasonable item that is currently on demand. So I would say that we should not be shy to ask if there is an option to get a discount.

Yeah, if you are practical then finding those market who offers bargaining is much better, it's just the same with what the mall is offering but the price is lesser since you can ask for additional discount especially if you are buying in bulk, it quite nice when you manage to find the actual warehouse.

One of the worst ways to shop is to buy something outright without doing any research.  I keep having to tell my mother that by not going online and looking at one what places and prices they are offering, she's essentially just throwing money away.  She gets sucked in to bullshit like QVC that takes advantage of senior citizens and I try telling her most of the shit she buys is just that, shit and that it can be had for MUCH LESS, if bought online.  SOOO frustrating!!

As a matter of fact, it is a poor man's mentality to think that comparing prices of good or even services will make them look inferior or less of a person. Oh yes, even wealthy people do take their time to compare prices or bargain on some goods and services even when it won't take anything significant out of them, it is a crucial part of business marketing and models to carry out competitive analysis on businesses. It is a way of industries trying to compare prices with others. If industries can compare prices, what of you as an individual. What makes you feel you can't bargain or compare prices of goods or services you're interested in. Unless the prices are fixed, if not, it is not a bad thing to bargain prices of commodities that are bargainable.

However, I have one habit in shopping, namely that I am not used to comparing prices between one shop and another. I very rarely walk out of a store simply because the seller hasn't lowered the price or given me a discount - unless I identify the seller wants to cheat me with an unreasonable price for the item.

The fact that we see in the field is that almost everyone makes offers and compares prices when they buy products, rich people buy goods and make worse offers than people with a mediocre economy, Currently we live in the midst of the worst economic world, so there is no need to pretend to have a lot of money when buying products.

Offering goods when buying, for me that is a savings strategy for themselves, at least they can buy other necessities by saving money and offering goods, Life is simple if you understand the meaning of life itself and the economy is stable if you are not wasteful and lavish.

In my situation, I did not even asked for a discount. Sales manager offered me lower price by himself. Maybe he was in a good more, or was a senior sales manager who is allowed to give discounts. I wasnt even planning to buy it, was there mostly for consulatation, to see the item with my own eyes and feel it with own hands, instead of watching dozens of reviews on the internet. I was amazed and pleased by service. Usually shops give discounts off season or on huge holidays. This time it was just a regular day. And it wasnt that one shop who always have items for a higher price than others, so when it has discounts, it usually same regular city price.

Anybody will want to bargain when purchasing goods or items. But then this depends on where you’re getting this stuff from. And if it’s work it. There are places you go to purchase items and the price are already tag on the item. Example of such place is mall. I don’t think there’s any sane person who knowing fully well that items price un ma are tag and not negotiable, will go and start bargaining for price. But there are private shop you can go to buy that same item you are allows to bargain. So where one goes to purchase something matters too.
I can bargain for a product depending where I go to buy it. And sometimes if what I want to buy is worth it. I see no need bargaining if I have the money to afford it.

Comparing prices online is a must in these days, and also do not forget about reviews as well. There are a lot of places, in every nation, that is like ebay or amazon, where you can see a product, and multiple sellers, and see reviews of that shop and even of that product as well. So what does that mean?

You are not only comparing prices anyhow, you are comparing sellers as well. For an item that costs 50 bucks, I am willing to pay 60 bucks if I am going to get it directly from amazon, instead of some shop that has less than 4 stars out of 5. This is how things work and that is why sometimes bargaining for price isn't the key, sometimes trusted seller is a lot more important and makes people pay more than what they could.

The vast majority of the population trades their time (and sometimes knowledge or skills) for what basically boils down to an hourly rate - even if you are a salaried worker you can figure this out by dividing it by days or hours worked. You'll spend a lot of your time in work, maybe even a 30% of your whole life if you're a full time worker, so the way you spend that money you earn should be very important to you. The counter to that is every business seeking to get customers to pay more money with them, instead of going out of their way to buy from another shop or service provider. They can do that by offering competitive prices, but there are so many different products out there, sometimes they will offer vastly better rates and it is up to savvy consumers to track down the best bargains of the moment.
