[WARNING] I Got an Exchange Phishing Site With Fake Balances [SCAM]

What Happened: I found a phishing or scam exchange site which looks like a real exchange almost and trapping new users to scam. They send a fake message to users showing a huge amount of balance. Someone got a text message from an unknown number where he got a phishing site link with an username and password. Then I tried to learn about this scam.
I login in that site with the given username and password and saw a fake amount of balance remains in my account. But if I want to withdraw I have to buy keys with a minimum of $50 deposit. So it's totally a trap to scam new users by showing fake balances. So everyone should be ever from this types of scams and especially new users who are not alert about this types of scams. Because I think sometimes it is tough enough to mark which is fake or which is real because domain name and the design of website looks like a real site.

So new users can be trapped in this stem site if he buy keys to withdraw this fake amount of USDT. So we should have more awareness about this type of scam sites and never trust those shits.

Hi, just curious, where did you receive the message, that would be nice to know so people who might be using the app you are using are aware of this scam.

the design of the website doesn't look like they are legitimate(at least for me) because I've seen a lot of scam exchange sites that have the same or similar designs that have been reported here in the forum not only that they also use the "you have to deposit a certain amount of money before they allow you to deposit" to scam people.

That's an obvious scam and those that will fall for it are the real greedy ones. If you don't have an account made to any website and someone just gave you the login details to "claim" the money that's being shown, it's evident that person that has given you that is trying to trick you. And the amount of money given is very sketchy, if it's not your money then don't be interested on it. Like the logic that we always apply, "if it's too good to be true, it's not real". Thanks for bringing this up OP, although the obvious is there but it's sad that there are still potential victims that might fall for this.

If you use google image search to search for this image I saw on the website (I’ll share it below) you’ll see so many other sites that have the same site template and were created for the same reason which is to scam users.

I would have shared the links here but my network connection was really slow so I couldn’t tell if they were still active or not. But here’s the image I searched that brought the results.

If you get a message from someone with a web link, username and password that you know that you have no business with the website/exchange, there is no need to go further delete it. And move on. Greed not curiosity is what makes people fall for this scam. Unfortunately, I believe that there are people who would have fallen for this scam but are too embarrassed to speak up. Real exchange? With that domain name? I don't think so, it needs nearly zero thoughts for a person with common sense to think that such domain name i too sceptical.
And yes, this is not uncommon tactics of scammers, once you heard something like this you can identify that it's obviously a scam. I hope people have this kind of common sense but no, you will still find someone will make such stupidity.

This message was sent to an user's phone number as a text messenger then that user shared us in a telegram group. Then I thought this scam should be revealed because few users can be trapped by being greedy. Thas why I shared to make awareness.

Even for me this fake  exchange doesn't look legitimate but sometimes users don't judge properly and make a hurry specially new comers then they get him trapped.

For some people, such phishing sites will sometimes be useful to cool their greed and ardor for profit. We have been living on the Internet for many years, but there are still such weirdos for whom such scams are created. Why people consider themselves "chosen ones" is a separate question. Why did they decide that something should fall from the sky in a financial sense if millions of people around are busy earning money?
A normal person will check all the information about the exchanger and find out its reputation, and he, on the contrary, should be wary when he sees a balance in his account that appears out of nowhere.

I get a DM to one of my social media accounts at least once a week, where someone sending me either an exchange platform account with a significant balance inside then requiring me to deposit money in order to withdraw (an old scam trick), or TikTok videos where they claim that a new platform offers cheaper Bitcoin prices for arbitrage to get rich quickly. Surprisingly for me, is there are some people still fall for these weak phishing attempts, and likely those who are either greedy or maybe new to crypto, or have very small understanding of how it works and believing that you may get rich this easily.

People need to know that any time an offer sounds too good to be true that’s a scam. And that website template is very known to be free and used by scammers years ago, if someone gets scammed, he should blame himself only and start learning more and doing researches before putting his money in random places.

That is true about beginners, they can hardly find these fake exchanges and they're fooled by following the instructions given to them by these scammers in hopes of getting the promised money. Whoever receives these random text messages from all of the messaging apps that you have. It's best to ignore and block all of scammy numbers so that you won't be bothered again and you'll never receive messages from them. However, the thing is that once our numbers have been spread and passed onto other database of the other scammers, you'll have to repeatedly blocking them.

Yes, this is an old trick used by scammers on Telegram or Discord. When someone posts account information for an unknown exchange or a promo code that can be activated by anyone after registering an account on the relevant exchange to win a huge amount of cryptocurrency, or private keys or recovery phrases for a wallet, it is essential to avoid messages from these scammers altogether, because all these visible balance is a fake amount that a person cannot withdraw, and those who let their greed drive them to try will completely lose their funds.

I know that although it is easy to recognize that it is a clear scam, I believe that many beginners may fall into this trap, so I submitted a report to the domain registrar gname.com to have it taken down, and if they create more, the report is sufficient to hinder their actions.
