I know I'm a bit late but I just accessed an old email and realized I had some BTC left on MtGox. I guess it's too late to file a claim? Does anyone have the database leak so I can confirm how much I had left?
You can check this article
Mt. Gox Postpones Repayment Deadline to 2025 that has a link to an official guide from Mt.Gox.
Notice Concerning Change of Repayments Deadline . You can read the full document for more details about their Rehabilitation Claim Filing System.
I am unsure and don't understand your question, data leak as proof to claim your bitcoin. It sounds ridiculous because you need more than a Bitcoin address to claim you are actual owner.
2. InquiriesFor any inquiries, please log into the MTGOX Online Rehabilitation Claim Filing System (i.e., the system accessible via
https://claims.mtgox.com/; the “System”) and use the inquiry form accessible from the “FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)” button in the upper right corner of the screen.
Thanks for the link. I just wanted to check how much BTC I had in my account as I am not entirely sure (and if the amount is too small, I won't bother with the claim).
From the MtGox claims website (
https://claims.mtgox.com/):
Please note that the period for filing proofs of rehabilitation claims in the Civil Rehabilitation Proceedings ended on October 22, 2018 (Japan time). Therefore, Users can no longer file proofs of rehabilitation claims via the System.
so unfortunately it seems that it's too late to file a claim...
It does sound like that but the fact that they precise "via the System" gave me hope that it might still be possible in person or via a lawyer, etc.
