15th anniversary of Bitcoin and Bitcointalk forum!

November 19 will be the 15th anniversary of this forum! Earlier than that, first Bitcoin transaction turned 15 years old! I have an idea to create a special NFT collection “Bitcoin15Bitcointalk”. The idea is that everyone can create their own authored NFT. A kind of drawing on the theme “Me and Bitcoin”. For example, a symbolic portrait with a Bitcoin symbol next to it. Your choice. It is possible to involve artists who will make a custom drawing. Ideally 21,000 different NFTs. ERC721 standard.  I think this will have a positive effect on  this forum.
Interested in such a project? This is just an idea for discussion.

Probably just another one of those pathetic attempts of trying to fish for some quick merits and now that the mission has been a complete fail, the owner will just have put the account to sleep until another opportunity arises

I believe OP should lock this topic as no one is going to send him/her merits and also no one is going to buy his/her NFTs. I don't know this topic even belongs to Meta board as it's most probably an attempt to fish merits or to sell NFTs and it's not about the forum in general. The worst thing OP did is adding Bitcoin themed NFT's on ERC721 standard. OP, not to be rude but you aren't welcome here.

There's now 3 different Bitcoin-based platforms you could use to launch the NFTs:

 - Counterparty
 - Stacks
 - Ordinals

However, based on past experience, I doubt you'll get much interest.

21,000 is a huge supply -- you could limit it to 100 and maybe sell 1-2, if you're lucky.

FWIW, Bitcoin Sidechain (such as Rootstock and Liquid) and LN protocols (Taproot Assets and RGB) also exists. That way, you don't fully leave Bitcoin ecosystem without bloating on-chain too much.

After all the hate that NFTs and Ordinals get, if you really think that a special NFT collection is the best idea for 15th anniversary of Bitcointalk forum, then you are very wrong.

To be honest, I would really love to see a 15th anniversary. Bitcoin-themed merchandise would be good but I think it will be good if theymos creates a contest where he will reward people who manage to sum up the last 15 years of Bitcoin(talk) in a single beautiful video. Idk man but something anniversary would be really nice.

Good luck to him, but he must understand that it never ends well. Difficult times to be a newbie; people with malicious intents have poisoned brains and set a bad foundation for the rest of them.

He spent almost 20 hours scrolling through 100 arts and decided he won't be hosting a contest anytime soon; image how many hours he would spend watching 2 minutes of 100 AI generated videos. Mission impossible.

I read and could conclude that a few people are not interested in this post or believe it is not fitting in this section, but after weighing it carefully, in my conclusion, it's okay here, but not perfectly constructed, you can do better by making some adjustments. The intention is good but the Ethereum Request for Comments (ERC) is an abomination here especially if you are setting a good standard for Bitcoin. Ethereum should copy Bitcoin and not Bitcoin copying Ethereum.
