A month ago, namely on 20/09/2024, an event occurred that can be entered into the Guinness Book of Records.
From 5 bitcoin addresses, one person transferred 250 BTC (50 from each address).
To date, this has been the longest holding of accounts on blockchain addresses on the Bitcoin network.

These were 5 accounts:
Created 29/01/2009 – 1C4rE41Kox3jZbdJT9yatyh4H2fMxP8qmD
Created 30/01/2009 – 18E5d2wQdAfutcXgziHZR71izLRyjSzGSX
Created 31/01/2009 – 13J8FkimCLQ2EnP1xRm7yHhpaZQa9H4p8E
Created 31/01/2009 – 1MBBJBFEaYKHFZAeV7hQ7DWdu3aZktjzFH
Created 02/02/2009 – 1CGT3Ywaa2upJfWtUtbXonDPNTfZPWqzmA

Let me remind you:
03/01/2009 – Satoshi Nakamoto generated the first Bitcoin block (received 50 BTC).
10/01/2009 – The second to generate a block was the late Hal Finney (received 50 BTC).
12/01/2009 – First transaction, Satoshi transferred 10 BTC to Hal Finney.

Satoshi Nakamoto and Hal Finney were the first to start mining Bitcoin, so there is a very high probability that these accounts were created by Satoshi Nakamoto himself.

It is surprising that few people pay attention to this outstanding event.

For people who do not know how the public blockchain works, I will remind you how easy it is to verify this information. For example, I will show only one address.

What is known about Bitcoin in the Guinness Book of Records?

ChatGPT responds:

Bitcoin has entered the Guinness World Records in several categories. It was recognized as the world's first decentralized cryptocurrency, developed as a solution for financial transactions without the need for intermediaries. This project, started in 2009 by Satoshi Nakamoto, followed earlier unsuccessful attempts to create digital currencies.

Bitcoin also holds the title of the most valuable cryptocurrency, with a market capitalization reaching $816.69 billion in March 2022. Notably, the Guinness World Records mentions events like the first commercial Bitcoin transaction in 2010, when programmer Laszlo Hanyecz purchased two pizzas for 10,000 BTC — now celebrated as Bitcoin Pizza Day.

Additionally, the record book acknowledges El Salvador as the first country to adopt Bitcoin as legal tender in 2021.

The five accounts have some things in common, they were created almost the same month and day, which was January 2009 except for one created on February same 2009, now the accounts made a transaction of the said amount, which you have mentioned and there is nothing we can do to establish the fact that thins was from Satoshi or Hal Finney, then why should we bother more on these when it does not take in some sats into our wallet, they have their money and provably for any reason they are trying to move it, you can also one day be a bitcoin whale and do same.

This record could easily be broken by any early addresses which continue to stay dormant and not move up to this day. So it is going to be a logistical nightmare to keep this record up to date. Almost like trying to keep tracked of "most liked Twitter post", "most commented-on Youtube video", "fastest Tiktok to 1 million views" and so on.

How do you know it was one person?
Are you suggesting that several people agreed to transfer bitcoins 15 years later on the same day?

You wrote as if you receive such messages every day or every week or every month.
Pay attention to the early date of creation of Bitcoin addresses, not the duration of storage.

initially mined block 2247
for all those wondering if satoshi moved coins, he didnt.

http://satoshiblocks.info/

based on the "patoshi" chart of the extra nonce pattern of whats suggested as satoshi vs other network users..
this mined coin from block 2247 is NOT one of satoshis pattern

If we agree that it is not Satoshi, then it is one of the people who were among the first to be active in mining. We can also say with certainty that it is not Hal who has been dead for ten years, but we cannot be sure that he did not leave those coins to his family - what we know is that someone has access to his BTT account because he was logged in years after his death.

In the end, does it matter at all?
