Is the cheers sound of supporters in the stadium real?

I just know that because there are some stadiums that do not have enough supporters, but the cheers sound already full lively with drum strings also.

I just watch the highlight mini match of champions league last night. I watch it all 9 match, and a bit confused when hear all sound from supporter on stadium because all look the same.

you will hear a sound drum strings with the same tone, and sound cheers where almost the same when the player dribbling the ball almost in front of the goal.

I thing that champions league company just use that fake supporter sound to make their show to be lively, This can also affect the audience's interest to watch on each match because the company banded with their ads.

To me its real, but there is still some little adjustment on the noise sound to make it focused more on the overall chanting and cheering sounds, those drumming and the shouting or singing on a uniform pattern will be more echoed on the microphones because everything there is being set up to the effect of microphone and they were all been set up to the best professional standards, the sounds are real, but studio edited as well to make the way of extracting the noise out of it, the aim of it all is not to confuse the players or something related, infant, when on the pitch, the players pay less attention to such except when they score a goal.

Several times I've watched matches from local leagues in my country where the stadium is sometimes very scanty and they do not use any form of tool to fill in cheer sounds in the speakers, it's always very different to be honest..

This is to say that in such a match, the only voice you will hearing is the voice of the match speculator(s), it's makes the whole experience not look like it's a football match we are watching.

So, really, if football organizers are using tools to fill In cheer voices and drums into speakers as a match is going on, it's nice as long as it keep the viewers entertained, thats all that matters.

Can be both.  When the noise created by fans or audience isn't that loud enough, administrators may apply artificial cheers/noise making the game audience look lively.  I do not think it affects the game negatively though, since a hyper environment keeps the excitement of the audience up and at the same time the adrenaline of the players.

I think the artificial cheers/noise is to initiate the participation of the audience.  If there is enough activity and cheering, the admin will turn down the volume of the artificial cheering sound.

Yeah, I admit that sound can create a different atmosphere when implemented in stadiums that don't have many people to watch. but it's a little bit weird when we're right there with an empty stadium. When we watch it on television, that sound can increase our passion for watching more until finish. It's different when watch it directly on an empty stadium with an artificial voice.

That is only part of it, not every league is implementing artificial sound. so far it's only Champion League event I heard it regularly on television, maybe when watching live it on the stadium, that such sounds does not exist. It's only implement it to television only.

I agree that if the goal is to keep the audience who watch the match via streaming channels and television entertained, it can be a good creativity.
In the Saudi pro league, have we ever noticed the roar of the audience and the sound of drums being beaten can be heard clearly even though the number of spectators in the stadium stands is not full or even less than 50%.

Totally agree on this. Due to the size of the stadium, they using some device to amplify the sounds of the crowd while drums is set to beat whenever an specific action is happening in the field like near on the goal to create an intense sound to boost player morale.

Football cheering is unique due to the use of drums just to make it effective on a very large open ground field. It’s the same with basketball court which they use speaker sounds to hype the crowd.

I share your view 100%. Though I never gave it a thought until I read this thread, and ever since then I've done a lot of digging and listening to try to verify the truth. My brother, it seems the ones with the huge and sophisticated stadiums are kind of altered and refined to make it sound that way. They wanted that captivating sound, so they found a way to make it happen.

Had it been it was the natural voice of the people, everything would not be as it is, it could be noisy and boring, so they found a better way to refine the atmosphere and I see nothing bad in that. This helps better with the way the commentator's voice is more audible and it could have only been possible if technology is involved.

With the increasing sophistication of technology now, camouflage cheers and shouts can be made with a computer to make the atmosphere more exciting.
This is usually done when there are few spectators present or lack of audience enthusiasm.

But in the main match, usually auxiliary technology is only used to enliven the atmosphere so that the audience is also more excited.

I saw at the match carried out by Indonesia Vs Japan, the atmosphere was very extraordinary and many choreography and yells were carried out by Indonesian supporters, including the presentation of a large banner with a picture of Gundala (Indonesian hero) who fought Godzilla which was carried out by the La Grande Indonesia Supporters group. It was even the most epic moment I've ever witnessed to date.

not sure about this one but there are some events in TV that has fake audience sounds , the cheering and the shouting are sometimes faked .

so be with it because this is how to attract audience and supporters .
