They don calculate the trend, using this model divide am into 3 Zones;-
The “cold” zone (below 33% percentile) for 2025 ranges between $55,000 and $85,000, which includes BTC’s current price.

The “warm” zone (33% to 66% percentile) ranges between $85,000 and $136,000.

The “hot” zone (between 66% to 99% percentile) indicates the peak BTC range between $136,000 and $285,000 by the end of 2025, where BTC is expected to consolidate a third of the upcoming year.

Coming from cointelegraph. Well, personally, I'm not really good at the whole analysis thing, and I've seen some members of this forum frown at certain information from cointelegraph as well. $285K is actually a speculation, which is a normal thing that anyone can do, but I don't really believe the whole thing. IMO, it's easier to believe Bitcoin hitting $100K next year than the supposed $285K, though I'm not ruling out the speculation on ground. If peradventure, Bitcoin hits $285K, then I guess it's for everyone's good. But if eventually it doesn't, then I guess the person that made the analysis won't be disappointed after all. So, I won't raise my expectations too high for $285K.

One thing be say, bitcoin get the tendency to give $285k and above and also bitcoin get the tendency to disappoint. So, no carry all your money buy bitcoin. Also, if bitcoin reach $100k, you dey free to cash out o, because people go too rush withdraw bitcoin if e reach $100k, wey go fit drag the price down again.

Normally, the prayer for every Bitcoin investor na for it's price to skyrocket after investing in it, of which having Bitcoin crossed $285,000, that will be approximately 3 to 4 times capital of any current Bitcoin investors right now. But however, I don't think the price of Bitcoin will skyrocket to that amount within this few space of time from now to 2026. But that doesn't mean it's price will not hit $280,000 as times goes on, but not in 5yrs time, since it's price correlation and demand and supply will always play a major role.

OP this one go make sense o but the truth be say all these na speculation and make you for know say na so speculators dey always talk about bitcoin but anyways, I believe  say bitcoin go reach that levels but e go take gradual process to get to that level.

Since the inception of bitcoin, bitcoin has been appreciating in price value  till this very moment. There have been lots of speculations on bitcoin existence and lots more but in all bitcoin is still waxing stronger and stronger. It is every bitcoiners dream that the price value of bitcoin gets to its peak so every investor could take profit from their investment and I have no doubt that with time, bitcoin would get to that price. It may come now, it may come in the future but all I hold unto is that bitcoin has already shown its value to the world and what it holds unto for the future. So I am not worried about when it would get to that exact speculated price value.

Speculations are made for fun OP, and you shouldn't get carried away with them so that you don't get disappointed. Bitcoin price may/not get to $285k by next year when the bull run is at its peak. However, it is good that if you are planning to take profit, you have a price target on when to take profit so that you don't get carried away with anxiety, and miss out the opportunity. I am certain that we will see 100k bench mark, but I don't expect to see bitcoin price above $150k.

I see it as a baseless argument that the previous outstanding performances of Bitcoin have caused people to miss-think, they are now blind to the reality thinking Bitcoin will continue to perform insanely as before. The $135k is still very feasible but certainly not the $285k. I ask them, on what liquidity? It will take Bitcoin about $5.66T to hit that level, which is an additional $4.01T of the current market cap. How is that possible if we are sincere with ourselves? Bitcoin may definitely reach that high level with time but certainly not in the near future.

Again, no one can certainly know if the market will hit a price that has never been tested before. It's all assumptions and guesswork.

Outrageous speculation and the bull market can't be separated due to people will always want to have their own speculation on the potential top of the price of Bitcoin but many of them are usually wrong.

E dey hard before person fit get the exact price wey Bitcoin go be before the bull market ends. Infact self, we no suppose dey chase the top but na profits na wetin we suppose dey after and any time wey you get your own profits, e dey okay. That price too much for this cycle oh.

Make we no dey dey too over optimistic about our predictions so we no dey disappointed when e no happen. I no believe am at all. This speculation nor just get head at all, we never reach $100k una don dey project this kind rocket. If it is possible make Bitcoin reach the speculated price, if em no reach kwalu, em d fine also. Wetin d dia be sae make peso get a moderate price to sell their Bitcoin, so that they won't be carried away by the increase price of Bitcoin wey go fit make them to miss out in selling their Bitcoin at a good high price. As I d now, I don get the price I go sell my accumulated Bitcoin by next year.
