My story with roobet.com is like that of many players. I started gambling and then began to lose. Their support team knows I’m going to lose; they offered me a promotion where if I lost $1,000, they would refund $100, meaning they profit $900 in the process. It's ridiculous.

After many significant losses, around $40,000, I contacted them on April 27, 2024, and asked to be excluded from the casino section and only participate in sports betting, as I can't control myself with casino games. They told me it was not possible. I also requested to set small betting limits on my account, but they said that wasn't possible either. I asked for small deposit limits and loss limits, and again they said it was not possible.



Imagine this despicable site that destroys the lives of players. If they know you’re struggling with addiction and trying to control yourself, they will ignore you and make you lose everything you have.
Imagine this incredibly dangerous site that only cares about making money, while player protection and regulations are the least of their concerns. It has ruined my life, and I’ve lost all my money in the casino.


Sadly Roobet's so-called license is worthless in terms of proper player protection, in fact it's known that these sites actually welcome problem gamblers as they know they'll not likley withdraw anything and play every penny they have. That's why they locate themselves outside any worthwhile jurisdiction, maximum profits for minimum cost and regulation.

I'm confused, they said they do not have the feature you are asking for, and they asked you if you wish to exclude your account instead and you ignored it, so what do you want them to do? You cannot expect them to fulfil your wish, which is the thing they can't do. no offense but it seems to me that you are just looking for someone to blame.

First, about 100 USD "refund" upon 1,000 USD loss, that's called "rakeback" or "loss-back", it's a known feature shared by many casinos. Granted, the amount is usually not that big, but it's a know feature, so that's not their way to cheat you. Yes, that's casino's way to compell players to keep on playing, but that's not cheating or scamming. That's a feature to utilize loyalty, marketing 101.

Second, about restriction. Yes, unfortunately, as far as I know, self-exclusion works in whole. You can't ask for specific exclusion, to be excluded on certain part of a platform while still allowed to access other games or part. It's either you're in or out. Self-exclusion exist to help gambling addiction and problematic gambling, and it won't work if it's taken "half-heartedly".

Those two paragraph above said, harsh as it might sound, the casino didn't scam you. They just followed their protocol.

Now, if you want to, given you show signs of problematic gambling, and suppose putting yourself on self-exclusion is too hard for you, I might can help you to enforce that exclusion. I'm curious what you would be writing here had they complied with your request to only be allowed to bet sports? As stated by holy we know that wouldn't be an option but hypothetically what if you still lost 40k on sport? Would you be here writing about this same topic? Asking for a refund? What made you write this in the 1st place? Did you ask for a refund, get denied, and think you'll show them?

I'm not a hardcore gambler nor expert in gambling at all (I don't know if there's a term like that), but with what you shared, it seems like you have a gambling disorder already and you are just blaming Roobet for your losses.

You gambled money that you can't afford to lose, and you blame them because the "exclusions" that you want wasn't granted? Are you a VIP to ask something like that? It's pretty obvious that based on what you shared to us, you're addicted with gambling and the casino has nothing to do with it. You're addicted so you're the one that will solve the problem. This might sound harsh, but it's not Roobet's job to look out for your money and mental well-being. It's your job. I am sorry if you are an addict. If that is the case, you need to get help as soon as possible. The support agent asked if you wanted your account to be locked (excluded) and you turned that down. There are no guarantees that you wouldn't have lost the money you lost on casino games by betting on sports. So, even if there was a way to exclude you from playing casino games, you would have the ability to bet and lose.

Plus, there are hundreds of other online casinos where you can play. Not to mention physical casinos and betting shops in your area that you can go to.
Check what kind of services are available for gambling addicts in your country and try to get your life in order. If you want, post here where you live and someone can suggest them to you.

I assume you are an adult means you are capable of making your own decisions and that's how you decided to gamble then why do you expect the platform to keep you from over doing, ofcourse casinos offers self exclusion feature but it doesn't apply to certain games, it's for the entire platform and if you can't control the urge of gambling then I don't think you are fit to gamble at all.

They didn't scam you any money, it's just you lost them while playing so this means there's no reason to continue this discussion in the scam accusation board.
