Watching football alone or watching in a beer parlor/view center?

On certain matches, I do watch with my friends. but not in public places like beer bars that provide many places for football lovers. the atmosphere will certainly be very lively in such a place, there will also be new friends with who we can discuss or have light conversations related to topics from the same hobby.
My friends and I usually arrange to gather in a certain place or at whose house to do it. because we usually make small bets for matches that are in progress. small bets with just a few people.

Aside going to the stadium to watch life matches, I have seen this often happen, including me going outside to watch football games, whereas they have television set and subscription intact, yet they prefer going outside to watch football matches.

Here is my reason, for some games I don't normally enjoy watching it alone, especially when it comes to final games, Champions League, El Clásico and any clash of rival teams. Secondly, I used to enjoy that shout … Goal.....by viewers and supporters watching that comes immediately when a goal has been scored, so to me, it's boring watching football matches alone.

I love enjoy the noisy atmosphere and chat with people about the ongoing match. However, it is fun to have people of the same likes around you.

Leaving one after the other, when the losing team must have conceded quite a number of goals that it has become certain they've lost the game, watching football with other football enthusiasts outside, a lot of things makes the atmosphere so fun such as the arguments between supporters in a case where there is any free kick committed, penalty or fowls plays awarded by the central referee.

I think football comes with lots of emotions, and most times, football fans prefers to share those emotions with their counterparts(fellow supporters). But that doesn't mean that there are others that doesn't like watching games at the comfort of their home, but to some extent, we have more people that prefers to be in a gathering. But the common disadvantage i've observed is the outburst of argument that sometimes leads to fight. You and I know that some people can be very emotional, and lack the ability to control themselves when they are being trolled. There are even cases of football fans fighting in stadiums, which makes not big difference with what can also happen in a viewing center. Regardless, the emotions and energy around other counterparts is very exciting. but personally, i prefer watching games alone.

There is always a different vibe and job when you are watching a football match with fellow fans and the opposite fans; those cheers and shouting when one team wants to score or when the other misses a goal is always top-notch and makes football more fun than just sitting at home alone watching it.

I was really often watching football matches alone but sometimes i want to watch the matches of my favourite team live at the stadium but the distance between my house and the stadium is very far and it's probably about 6 or 7 hours away so these situations makes me unable visiting the stadium for every weeks but what i have done so far is when there was special event available then usually i was watching football matches with my friends at the cafe or coffee shop and i think this is fun too because the excitement is very different rather than watching the matches alone through an my television especially when watching my favourite teams can beat their opponents

Some are going to the center or parlor/shops, because some of them are offering certain food packages along with the widescreen to watch the game. And of course, you can have good discussion if you go with your family, friends or colleagues. So it is like a good bonding session with them along with the good food/drinks offered.

It depends on your mood how you want to watch the game. Some are just enjoying the environment with other people. But others are just happy to watch alone at home. If you want more intimate interaction with friends or family, you can indeed find a place that will cater such ambience.

Although some people don't like to watch football alone, that's why they usually go out to viewing centers where they can watch and argue with other football lovers too. From my observation, a large percentage of people who watch football at viewing centers doesn't have a subscription for the channels that will allow them view the match in their house. It's possible that they have television in their homes but they don't have subscription.

I think theres something truly unique about watching with fellow fans, especially during major matches. I love the energy and excitement of a crowd, the collective cheers and groans. Its that whole brotherhood thing that makes football so much more enjoyable. Watching a big game on your own just doesnt compare.  For me, it really depends on the game. If its just a regular match, Im perfectly fine watching at home, maybe with a couple of friends. But for the big games? Definitely, I would much prefer being in a lively place, like a sports bar or viewing center, where you can really soak in that collective excitement.

Maybe the sensation is different, the adrenaline of watching soccer together with friends or coworkers feels much more interesting to do, and again during the game I myself like to bet with friends who are beside me, and that makes me feel much more interesting besides the match I'm watching.
Watching alone using the TV is only when I have a very busy time and can't go out, but it doesn't reduce watching the favorite match if it's watching alone, watching the other team is just optional for me, yes although sometimes it does get bored quickly if alone.

While there are fans who can watch football games or any other sporting events alone. There's no fun in being alone, no peers to chat and chant and cheer to your favorite clubs or teams.

Going to the actual event is always been a hobby for those hardcore fans. Going to a beer parlor or just a watch party is also a good one when you want to have fun while watching games.

The shouts, the comments, the cheering, all of those noises are really making good connection with the peers or just some random guy that also like the team or club you support.

It's because of the thrill of the game. Everyone who has watch football matches at home and outdoor can attest to the fact that watching the game away from home has a different feeling. Even better, if there are opposing fan(s) there and your team is luckily win, nothing feels more relaxing  and fulfilling in the football world. For instance, I watched the Liverpool vs Tottenham UCL final in 2019 at a public place and the felt on top of the world so much that I shouted till I lost my voice. If I was at home, those celebrations would have been short lived. Entertainment is best enjoyed with more people.

I do watch football alone, not that I really prefer it, but I do it just to stay out of trouble. Before I do visit the viewing center to watch matches, but there are always arguments between each other, which is why most people prefer watching football in public space, but most of those arguments do lead to fights between each other sometimes, and they do end up injuring each other, sometimes even the person that’s not part of the argument or fight might end up being injured, it happened multiple times, so I just reduced the way I visit the viewing centers,  I do watch most matches at home.

Why not? It's much cheaper than paying for a stadium ticket for big matches, alcohol and food is much cheaper, more spacious, the crowd spirit is still there... Plus also you get camera coverage and announcers instead of having to turn your yead and try to spot the ball all the time.

So unless you're part of some ultras club, to watch a match in a cafe or bar is a very good experience. You can also speak a bit with your friends that you sit besides too. It's great.

Op I don't know if there is a stadium in your City to watch match. And I believed many fans like to watch their club performing life on the field if they have the opportunity to do so but it is not. So they have to choose the nearest viewing center to watch the game. And apart from that if the stadium is at the capital city in the country or in a State and the fans that at the local areas can't come to the city because of high transportation.
So they will prefer using the viewing centers to watch the game.

This is more about culture and habits, most times those that have TV subscription that can not cover international leagues, goes to free space to watch those matches most of the sport bettors have a clique, that they roll with and sometimes sharing the excitement of the match with a fellow can make the entire viewing process more fun.

Some of the bars and viewing centers owners use this trick to draw more customers, because as the game proceeds, they will order one or two things, which will bring in more sale for them.

I actually prefer watching football at home. It doesn't matter whether I'm alone or watching it with others, but I just prefer the comfort of my home.
When I was younger I used to enjoy watching in public but as I grew older, I appreciated bein alone more. I watch a lot of matches, like today I've watched about 5 matches and I watched all of them at home. It gives me a better serenity to analyze the game better. In public places, you can't analyse the game the way you want because of the noise and distractions, but when I'm alone, I see everything and I'm calmer to analyse the game. This helps me a lot when I'm making future bets or simply just knowing why the game is the way it is.
Having 2 or 3 friends over to watch the game with me is also cool, but I do not like going out to watch games.

I definitely prefer to watch football surrounded by other people and if there is a public place for me to join in and watch, it would be even better. In the specific case of my city, I recall there were televisions all set to watch the last football club in all public spaces and malls back then and there were people who could have easily stayed home and watch the match with the family, friends or even alone; and yet, they preferred to go outside and have a good time surrounded by strangers who had as much passion for the sport as they did.
I guess there is no brainier behind the reason why people would rather to watch football in bars and other places like lobbies and malls, most activities are better and feel more enhanced when they are carried out in group, if there are some alcoholic beverages even better.

Although some people don't like to watch football alone, that's why they usually go out to viewing centers where they can watch and argue with other football lovers too. From my observation, a large percentage of people who watch football at viewing centers doesn't have a subscription for the channels that will allow them view the match in their house. It's possible that they have television in their homes but they don't have subscription.

If subscription is the only problem as to why most go to viewing centres to watch football, then I think all the viewing centres will be less populated on match days compared to the way they usually are.
 
Even if someone doesn't have a subscription to their TV, they also have smartphones that don't always lack data; they can stream it online, and if the television they have at home is a smart TV, they can connect their mobile phone to the TV for a wider screen.
 
Let's also say subscription is the problem. If you calculate the cost some people spend on just watching football, you will know that renewing their subscription is nothing compared to that, as some buy drinks, carry friends around, and pay for transportation just to visit their favourite viewing centre.

I will say there is more fun they derive from watching with others compared to when they are home alone, while some people use that as an excuse to leave home.

In Europe it's very popular. Most people won't have the money and time to follow their team their team when they play an away game, so the next best thing is to go to a pub.
When I was a student we'd always go to the pub when there was a big sports event like boxing or football and everybody would support national team.

Players at a stadium create this feeling of energy in the air and you start to like it after a while. You want to be in a group with other people who feel like you and a pub is a decent substitute.

Watching the game itself is less interesting... Especially since some of us don't like soccer so I automatically have to watch it myself so it's not that interesting...

Honestly, I want to watch directly to the stadium but I'm stuck in financial matters hahaha so I can only watch together in the building with my own friends.

Cheers... the roar of the atmosphere in the building will look felt than watching alone.
