Hi. I received several emails from Stake regarding verification and receiving a $250 bonus for completing lvl 2 verification. There are only two things I can think of, it's either true that the stakes have such rules or maybe they aren't, possibly hackers or what. It makes me think a bit because you said 4 yrs. You are already using it, which means that you put in a large amount of money in the stakes, and that you took out a large amount of money, which could be what you won before.

But you have never experienced anything like what you are talking about now. I'm not sure if you've been hacked, but to be sure, first chat with stakes support and confirm if it's true that they have something similar to what you're saying, maybe later after you submit kyc and so on More information is that after that you will suddenly lose access to your data privacy op.

If you are in doubt, discuss it with their support team or your VIP manager if you are a VIP there. If you received something via e-mail, make sure it's a genuine offer and not a scam attempt. The possibility of being asked for KYC was always there. Those are the terms you agreed with. Stake has become more serious about it in recent months. The way I see it, you can either comply and do Level 2 KYC or find another online casino and play there until they ask you for the same.

First of all, you can't protect your privacy by choosing a centralized services such as casino/gambling sites and centralized exchanges, because both of them require you to go through verification, and before you register on the sites you have to attained some levels of verification which will be at tiers one level, so if stake give you such a a huge bonus and asked for more verification, it then means that you have truly wagered a lot on the casino and for sure your account is due for level 2 verification and if you don't do that, it then means that you have to forfeit access to either the account or some basic features.

Most times if a gambling site keeps sending you several mails to verify your account it shows that you are making huge withdrawal that is higher than your current level limits, or may you are constantly requesting for withdrawal which they felt it could be an attempted from hackers or someone trying to force themselves into your account. I really do not see anything wrong if stake.com asked to further verify your documents or passing through their level 2 kyc, and we must also have it in mind that most casinos/gambling site do request kyc to keep their regulations.

Actually, they extended it and sent new emails t players that didn’t verify in time, I read about that on Reddit. Not sure how often the keep extending it though, there might be a limit.
It’s sad they took this measure but it is what it is. Guess they want to prevent bonus abuse and so on, isn’t it always about the bots according to Eddie? 
I verified a long time ago and couldn’t even take advantage of this promo but I can imagine it must be annoying to have an account with a decent vip level and maybe lose it. I mean not completing to verify is your choice, but maybe there is also a reason for that. Read about many Americans on Reddit that have old stake accounts which they can’t verify. if you don't want to follow the new regulations from Stake, then you may have to switch to another casino. you won't lose your account, but you may not be able to have fun with your bets at Stake.

Perhaps he thinks that if he is not doing the level 2 verification then he will get his account suspended/blocked or even deleted.
I'm not quite sure about the information given in the email but I've heard that Stake players who do not complete the level 2 verification will not be able to play again at Stake but I do not know if Stake will delete the accounts or not (I believe Stake will always give a chance).
Logically Stake wont let their valuable players go that easy, at least Stake will try to offer some extension for the KYC process for those who have not completed the KYC starting from New Year.

Why not verify the KYC? To be honest, $250 is a lot.

Have you tried to read it directly from stake.com under KYC?
Here's what they said "Please complete KYC verification Level 2 by the 31st of December 2024."

It all depends on what they stated from their condition attached to the need arising for you to make the level two verification, but since its something which i believe that you should have, then there is no need of you finding it difficult to fulfil, because without giving the due and adequate compliance, they may lay some restrictions on your account like that of withdrawal limit or embargo.
