Anybody can get addicted to gambling. rich or poor. Anybody who gambles is vulnerable and those who gamble frequently are more vulnerable. I think I understand that those with other psychiatric disorders are the ones most prone to gambling, but every who gambles is vulnerable.

I don't believe the less privileged are more vulnerable than the rich. In my opinion, there's a higher chance of a rich person becoming an addict because the rich have the money to gamble while the poor don't. A rich person can just keep gambling while he's losing money and not mind at all because there's more where that came from and that could lead to addiction, but a poor person doesn't have that privilege

I am sharing this to raise awareness so more people are aware whether they fall under these categories I mentioned and may have high chances of becoming a gambling addict. Let’s keep ourselves informed and in check. Not only ourselves but our loved ones as well.

Well this is true in away though, but not only the poor folks wants to make money from gambling. The rich wants to get richer through any opportunity and in this regards, we can say that they have the upper hand as they can risk as much as they want without actually feeling it that much unlike the poor. So we shouldn't put it that way that only the poor benefits from gambling which is wrong for me. An average gambler is neither rich nor poor, but is able to fund his gambling activities without the help of others. Addiction will always come no matter what state of life you are in. Your thoughts are not unreasonable but here some one will think differently. Some people think that rich people do not gamble for money or they do not have to work hard for their livelihood like poor people. But a poor person always has to struggle in his life. He always tries to do something to change his situation but when there is no other way then he may get addicted to gambling. But in the case of a rich person there is no such regret. But if we think overall then it is not a problem whether a gambler is rich or poor. Anyone can get into any kind of situation. A rich person can also get affected by gambling quickly and it can also be the case with a poor person. In this case both are equal.

Young people and those who are in financial collapse will likely fall into gambling addiction. The sweet promises that most casinos had offered made them think that it could be the solution to their financial problems. Unfortunately, it was wrong, and instead of having it as a solution, it turn out to be a problem. The more they think about money, the more it influences their mind until they fall into making wrong decisions. 

We may not fall into addiction today but once we can't control our greed and emotions, that leads us there. 

If young people see gambling as a fast way to make money, they will not have a chance to get that money instead they will lose all of their money. What I know is that whether you are rich or not, you are going to always act desperate without avoiding unnecessary pressures, that can be a big problem for us in a long run. Yeah is easier to get rich than to sustain It , just lik you said the rich need to spend to maintain themselves and their property. The rich usually gamble for fun not to win something big or to hit the jackpot. It is very true what you say, when there are many things to maintain a status quo that should not be lost , work is the strength of everything to be able to do things well, also if we have a life where everything is money and a lot like in services , taxes and everything that has to do with leading a good life , then you have to work, at the beginning of every year you have to pay for many things and that is difficult sometimes, that is why Sometimes we hear People say that the worst of all is January, because it is the month where there is the least money.

Both are equal in terms of the path they've chosen to make money. It's a big no, because the rich already have good money, and he's trying to maintain his status, and a status sign is the need for more money. He can fulfill everything, even without the gambling, whereas with the middle class, it is kind of thinking to have a transition in life from one level to the other. In this event the rich aren't much more vulnerable than the poor, because even in the worst-case scenario, the rich used to have backup to stabilize his next-day life. With the poor, they spend what is being kept aside for their daily lives on gambling, hoping for a better outcome. If the result is positive, then life runs smoothly. If not, the suffering will be very bad.

Agreed on the younger kids.  "Back in the day" you really had no access to gamble much unless it was with your friends.  Its just as i.portant for parents to understand having those conversations with their kids.  But i wouldnt say vulnerable, that insinuates that gambling houses are preying on people.  In the end gambling is a choice and should be used for entertainment.

I also agree, gambling isn't for those that are underpaid and i can say this because I've had some rough experiences in the past due to the fact that I was losing the little money I was working had to get. Low income earners are the ones that end up In debt, they are the ones that are easily enticed by casino or gambling adverts because they are just trying to find a way to make easy money by any means. People who are retired also deal with gambling addiction just like you said, these category of people can get addicted to the game easily because they don't have anything doing to keep themselves busy.

We shouldn't use anything to justify the fact that we allow ourselves or any gambler to allow themselves to get addicted to gambling; even if you are a low-income earner, having in mind that you can make more money from gambling, risking the little you earn is your greed speaking for you and not you thinking straight.

We all have the desire to make more money; every action we take in pursuit of that money, we should take full responsibility for it and not blame low income or being retired.
 
Someone who earns little from his or her job can either stay away from gambling or they can spare that little money they see as something they can use for buying things that are not necessary, like a bottle of beer to gamble, and still not get their budget affected. Anybody that is gambling with more than the amount that they can afford to loose can become addicted whether they're rich or poor. Being addicted to gambling is more of a habit than the financial status of the person so it depends on the percentage of a gamblers income that they're willing to gamble with. A rich person that makes a high turnover in their business can recover from a huge lose faster than a poor person so from this perspective we can say that the poor are more vulnerable if they lose their money in gambling. This issue of getting rich over night is absolutely something that is known with the poor. The poor is always on the lookout for an opportunity for them to become rich forgetting that everything takes a process and the most difficult part of becoming rich is by setting your goals and targets then working towards achieving them with patience. Yes, there is no clear certainty who will be more vulnerable to gambling addiction, this is more about the response of each person who gambles, now if poor and rich people both have the wrong response to gambling then addiction is certain to occur, but when they can respond to gambling correctly then addiction may not occur as well as the big losses that often occur when someone is trapped in gambling addiction.
Saying that rich people are more vulnerable because they have spare money that may indeed make them continue to gamble is true, but gambling that is done continuously will occur if they do not have good self-control and in my opinion the same goes for poor people, if they also do not have good self-control then they can do other things to make money and return to gambling. I am sure you yourself are not strange with cases of people who are in debt because of gambling, maybe these are poor people who force themselves to gamble.
