I build trading bots. Last year, I programmed hundreds of trading strategies, multiple combinations of strategies, and experimented with different closures like stop-loss, take-profit, stop-market once the price reaches a certain level, opposite signal, different levels etc.

However, when I backtest these strategies on TradingView, they consistently underperform in the long term, especially after accounting for fees.

Does anyone have a strategy that actually works?

I was using cryptohopper around September and November last year when the monthly subscription on adventurer packages was $99 and it work perfectly for me but this year February when i subscribed and created a new bot it was not given what i wanted. However,  cryptohopper has one of the best features especially the market arbitrage bot.

Have you also tried to used trade santa automated platform?  Though you said you are "not interested in any Premium bots or scripts" sometimes those trading platforms save you a lot of time and headaches of creating a script yourself since you back test your own and you don't get the best results. Trade santa has a very low fees of around $18 per month.

I'm not interested in any automated platform. I can create my own custom bot(s) where I can control every aspect you can think of. I can run a farm of bots for less than $100/month, and they can trade on all markets around the world.

I just want to emphasize: it’s not about the bots; it’s about the strategy. Once I have a strategy with an edge, I can set up a bot to handle the buying and selling process, running 24/7, always watching the market(s) and ready to intervene. Bot is simply a replacement for a human (or humans).

Hey, thank you for being honest here. I am sure there should be at least 1000s of people from this community must be making use of bots either by developing their own or bought from a third party still must be facing very much similar problem like you. Because, bots are just programming codes but market fluctuations are 90% emotion driven and 10% technical driven. You can code a bot for technical part but emotions cannot be captured by any mathematical formula which is the core reason for all your troubles.

Still, some bots may fetch you profits but not forever. Market sentiments are changing always and if you are capable of finetuning your bots time to time then you may survive along with your bots. Personally, my verdict on trading bots is like they are helpful only up to analysis phase but final decision on opening/closing a trade should be done manually.

You've done a lot that is commendable, but if you've not achieved a good strategy, you will only be wasting your time. It's even worse if backtesting which is not deemed to be accurate when it is even profiting is now making you lose. You need to overhaul the bot(s. Well, I have many trading strategies that work but the simplest one you can try now is the price action or the chart pattern. Just learn it and apply it rightly and also vary it on different time frames. If your bot(s) works well, there is no way it will fail with this strategy.

Does this mean short-term profits are acceptable? What does long-term mean in this context? A year? How do you backtest your strategy? Did you use a 1/4-hour timeframe or something similar? As far as I'm aware, most trading bots services that I know of update their strategy regularly. It's probably because the market behaves erratically, so long-term strategies don't work. I don't think people would share their secret trading strategy in this forum either so you can only experiment yourself.

In the long term, I mean all the available data. This could be a year, two years, or even ten years. I mostly use low timeframes, such as one, three, or five minutes.

I agree, people won't share profitable strategies with an edge. They will take advantage of them for themselves. I would do the same.

Also, what strategies have worked best for you so far? It would be interesting to hear if anyone has found alternative approaches that might be useful.

Whatever methods that have been notified, we can grab them with high hopes and put them infront. We've quest to make trading smooth but what more can we hold on? We trade base on the existing principles and strategies lay down in place. You do know most of us have been discreet in our activities in the market, we wouldn’t expose our strategies because we've secured them and wouldn't want some random average traders jeopardize with this pattern which have served imperative purpose in our existence prior to the crypto space.

This sure sounds pretty nifty! I've got a buddy who does this on an arbitration algorithm that he builds himself. He says every once in a while the algorithm  breaks and then he has to go in and fix it. I begged him to let me tey it but he didn't want to do it lol

Creating trading board and tactics Blood Testing can be extremely difficult to find a challenging process and especially long-term profitable strategy. While included in C and other training costs as you mentioned, many times strategies give bad results although each strategic can do well in certain situations, some common policies may be followed which are considered to be effective. Applying strategies dependent on market conditioning. Many times training techniques work well in specific market condition. and adopt stock Loss and Tech Profit Management method. It is very important to follow the correct Jukee to Reward more in the risk-to-reward Ratio strategy. And you mentioned that trading board. How many functional investment this trading bot is in case of or trading. Request for fully detailed. Those who do piece of money will be helpful.

To discuss Bitcoin, it is enough to see Bitcoin go up and down once. If we look at Bitcoin at the moment, it is enough for discussion because Bitcoin has gone down a lot at the moment. At the moment, its change has had a lot of impact. The price of the dollar has also gone down due to Bitcoin going down, due to which many people have also suffered losses in certain places. It will take a lot of time for Bitcoin to go up, due to which we are also seeing a lot of negative things in it.

I sincerely don't trust and enjoy Bot strategies because they can be poorly implied and designed for our usage.In the real sense,they can't think and they're mostly dependent and executive on the strategies they're usually automated and authorized for.
Any strategies behind Bots are unspecific the real strategies are behind the human brain.
