I think you are right, OP is gambling with money he can't afford to lose, not because he feels regret as bitcoin price has increased many times. Finally, someone finally agrees with me, a topic like this have been discussed on this forum on several occasions, I even started one myself to explain to gamblers here just this same reason why gambling and using bitcoin or even any volatile Altcoin for payment could be a very bad idea, but most people who comments disagreed with me, saying that whether or not we use bitcoin or Altcoin to gamble, makes no difference since and if bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency they hold, and makes no sense to first convert it to stable coin first before proceeding to gamble.

I don't see the difference in converting Bitcoin to USDT for gambling. It's same, and the regrets would be there still, because, within you, the amount of exchanged btc has an increased value. If anyone is going to hold, there is no essence of changing to stable coin. The best of this idea is to focus on Fiat, or better still play using Bitcoin.

I've no much definition of gambling with btc and trading on exchanges. We win or lose. So, if the gambler doubles their wins, it's as if they've added more bitcoin to the existing coins. Although, you're right, but anyone who's going to regret will probably do so, especially now that the price is skyrocketing to 100k.

I think OP isn’t actually prepared to gamble and lose his funds. Because if he’s actually a gambler, be it altcoins or bitcoin, or even fiat, once you lose, you are definitely at loss. I prefer USDT for gambling, and Bitcoin for investing. Because I deposit Bitcoin which helps me deposit more Bitcoin in the future, I deposit Bitcoin with the remaining money I earn excluding expenses, this time I follow the DCA method. Well, if you think like that, then I'll tell you that you'll still regret it. Imagine the amount of Bitcoins that you could buy with that lost USDT. How does it feel now? There is no difference and I think that it's even better to use Bitcoin for gambling because if you use USDT, you have to exchange BTC to USDT and then USDT to BTC, which means that you'll have to pay exchange fees and might lose 1-2% of your capital.

Sorry to say this, but I don't see the correlation here except that you do not want to let go of past losses, you should think of the conversion then as if you gambled fiat, so let go. If you want to invest in Bitcoin, do so, and if you want to gamble, do so, the two are not the same unless you just want to have enough of Bitcoin in your gambling account and be wagering little by little from them with the scope that you are also investing. Calm down! There is nothing wrong if anyone sees Bitcoin not w good crypto for gambling. No one wants to lose an asset which worth more than gold or USD. This is a general human tendency and there is nothing wrong about it. There are other coins like Dogecoin which is still cheap for gambling purpose.
