There are many discussions about this already 5+ years ago, if bitcoin is an investment or an asset can be used to everything. People realized back then that the bitcoin can be used as an investment because it has a lot of potential to grow, and it's a not good to use BTC to use for gamble because it's volatile and can get huge loss. But as of today, many players still use bitcoin, maybe they have a lot of it hoping for a quick flip but still it outweighs the gambling utility purpose. IMO, you'll gain more hodling and buying more bitcoin instead of using it in gambling, the bet of trusting bitcoin during dips is already gambling.

Not just winning now mate.  If op can look at this from a different perspective of winning in Bitcoin and the price as of then seemed almost unpredictable and he held on to his winning until now probably the side of the story won't be that of regrets anymore but of happiness and excitement. It's funny how people just look at one side of a two sided coin and draw conclusions from there.

As it regards digital asset there must always be fluctuations in price and this is something everyone investor or gambler in the crypto space should be prepared for before making any decisions. If it regards gambling the should understand that they can win massively in Bitcoin and it happens that the price keeps declining at that point. Well, once you enter gambling, regardless if you use fiat or crypto, your finish line will be certainly more losses than gains, most especially if you are an irresponsible gambler and has more than greed and less control of emotions.

So if you consistently use your bitcoin into gambling, just imagine how much would’ve you lost if you always end up losing. As on making use of Bitcoin then it will be only having two possible things.

1. Expensive fee if there's network congestion
2. Waste of opportunity on making profits on simply holding

Somehow if you are really dont minding about paying up or missing those opportunities then you will be not minding that much.
Not all the time that bitcoins fee is expensive but in totally it is that a waste of making use of it on playing gambling but well this is really

Transaction fees are one of the reasons why I don't use bitcoin for gambling, because sometimes the fees I spend are enough to at least gamble at the smallest bet for a few rounds.
In addition, when using bitcoin for gambling, it is risky to mess up my investment in bitcoin, because sometimes there is a thought to send the assets we have to gamble. I have long preferred to use TRX for gambling.
However, this will return to our habits in gambling, because some people have different crypto assets, and maybe it is based on the assets they hold at that time.

If someone says they regret gambling with bitcoin because the price of bitcoin has increased so much, then they should also regret gambling with USDT or any altcoin. Because it is also their money, if they do not use that money to gamble but use that USDT to buy bitcoin and hold it for a long time, they will also earn a large profit. What's funnier is that many people blame Fiat currencies, inflation, currency devaluation...but that has nothing to do with their gambling behavior. Bitcoin is their money, USDT or fiat is also their money, there is no difference because they only act as money and payment method.

Nobody like to pay huge fees when depositing that's why lots of people avoid to use BTC its because some doesn't really feel comfortable using it since anytime those situation might gonna happen again. That's the reason why some people like to use USDT or any stable coins available in the casino since it gives them more convenience feeling dealing with the casino they like to play. Also lots of people would agree that BTC is good for hodling and never be a good option to use it for gambling.

True that. Actually, because of sometimes slow confirmation times and so on I kind of moved away from using bitcoin to gamble. If I gamble I almost always only do sports betting. Sometimes you decide for a game quite late and only have limited time to make a deposit and place the bet. More than often I made a deposit to bet on a game that starts in like 10-20 minutes and then all of the sudden there is no confirmation for like 30 minutes or more. These are always the bets that would have won in the end, of course. 
On the other hand, sometimes you make a late deposit and it confirms quick. You place the bet, and it loses, hahaha. After that I always thought "damn, this once you have confirmed slow, just like the last one."
Even with confirmations I manage to get unlucky sometimes, what a shame.

Besides of the fees that can increase anytime, we have the other reason why we don't use Bitcoin for playing gambling. We want to make a big profit from our Bitcoin so we think it is better to hold Bitcoin and use the other coins which is cheap and don't have too high of the transaction fees. We need to be wise when playing gambling including selecting the coin that we will use to gambling so we don't waste our Bitcoin just to gambling because we want to increase our Bitcoin from gambling.

That will not work as we want because gambling can makes our Bitcoin gone anytime. USDT will be my choice besides of Litecoin or TRX. Those coins are suit for me especially for the transaction fees.
