I think Trump is beginning to right his wrongs this time around, in his previous tenure as president he was surrounded by bad advisers but this time around I've seen lots of changes, from embracing Bitcoin to appointing the right set of people to help make America Great Again, it's welcome development to US economy and Cryptocurrency also.
 Elon Musk is a genius, the best at what he does and I believe the deserves the position appointed to him, I believe better day's ahead for American citizens cause they'll now have more smart people in strategic government positions. I think Elon Musk has been given this position to recoup all the money he has spent for the elections. Department of Government Efficiency is not which is not an agency of the government that has the responsibility to advise and guide the new government on cutting the cost of governance, and entrepreneurship and reducing bureaucracy. The department will conclude its work by 4 July 2026. But the acronym DOGE is suspicious. Since the announcement of this new department the price of the coin DOGE has appreciated.

Elon's companies also have different lucrative contracts with the current government. Maybe more deals will be signed to enable him to get more money. I am still wondering why Trump allowed Musk to hold a position in his government because there is will clash of interests.

I agree with you on this, but Elon publicly supporting Trump is a huge risk because if Trump loses, the Democrats will definitely not leave him alone and his business will be in trouble. The price he paid was high, so if he demands an important position in the Trump administration, it is completely worth it.

Sure, I agree with you that when comes to politics all summaries into being a big game of interests and those interests get reflected on both the working class and those in the top of the 1% of the people who manages all the money. What catches my attention is who blatant it has become when it is about billionaires supporting either candidate, you know.
In previous years, those billionaires would have hidden behind the name of a company or a personal firm in order for them to donate pseudo-anonymously, now we have Elon showing up to political rallies, habding over giant check for one million dollars to voters and now being part of the government of the USA under a very ... peculiar administration. Interestingly there's some level of checks and balances that is operational in the US system of government. I don't think he could have the faculty to act as the police of himself as there will be vestiges from other interested party. Mind you, Trump's emerging victor in the poll doesn't mean his party also swept other public seats in the election. So ultimately there will exist some watchdogs within the administration.

His target will be expenses that are not mandated by the law which is commonly seen as discretionary spending. The DOGE will focus on cutting costs from defence, transportation and education, training, employment and social services.

The department can cut costs by reducing the workforce, restructuring some agencies and ending the wars supported by the US. However, no matter how Elon and his department try to achieve their aim they might never achieve the aim of cutting $2b. Elon should know that the US is not a private organization like Twitter that he restructured without restrictions. Many people or organization can use several litigations to frustrate these moves.

When I saw all of these news the first thing that came to my mind is, was there any necessities to why Donald Trump created the Department of Government Efficiency and why was it that he chose none but Elon Musk to head the newly proposed agency. I began to answer my questions by firstly finding the importance to the newly proposed agency which was created to streamline federal government spending with the target of reducing over $2 trillion in expenditure. It isn't a news any longer that the government of most of these countries run into overspending especially in its capital and recurrent expenditures as well as cutting costs of many of the government initiated programmes. What I think this agency will tackle is to xray the budgets per revenue and see how to reduce unnecessary costs inccured by the federal government.
