How exactly is closed source ??

https://github.com/trustwallet/wallet-core
You can check a wallet is close source or open source with https://walletscrutiny.com/

Be an open source wallet means the source code is open, and available on its wallet's Github. So everyone, if want to explore, can use the source code, to reproduce the wallet by themselves. They can check the open source code, to find any back doors, malicious code if exists.

It's important difference of open source and close source wallet. With a close source wallet, you don't know what is in the wallet code, and what their developers want to do.

Security check list.

this is really great !! thank you for these links. It's a big help, I understand what your saying now.

Which USDT?

ERC-20 and TRC-20 can be sent to Binance easily.

BEP-20 I don't know, it might be harder but like I said I'm not sure.

Somebody sent me USDT-BEP20 a few days ago and now I'm racking my brains over it trying to figure out a cheap way to sell it for USDT-TRC20 without selling my BTC to buy BNB so that I can pay for gas.

It's made me move a lot of assets around, so I guess next time someone offers to pay me in USDT it's going to be in ERC20 or TRC20 only. Smiley

If you meant sending in Binance exchange account, either on chain or between users as internal transfers, you can pick a favorite chain and it's easy. Different chains will have different withdrawal fees on USDT.

You will only need to have BNB if you want to send your USDT on BSC in your non custodial wallet like Metamask for example. Directly withdraw it from your Binance account won't require you to have BNB.

Binance supports many chains for USDT.
