Currently I am buying USDT from my coinbase wallet and transferring it over to binance.us

Just curious how everyone else does it, what's some of the best ways to get crypto into binance.us ?

Why you didn't just go straight buy the USDT on binance.us instead of bought it on Coinbase?

If you bought on Coinbase, then you transfer on binance.us, you need to pay withdrawal fee which is not effective.

Transferring your USDT from coinbase to binance is actually very easy
Firstly, you should get your deposit address from Binance.us
Which you can easily get from your Binance.us by clicking on the DEPOSIT  button (note:make sure you select USDT as the coin)

After getting that head over to your coinbase under your wallet section, find USDT and click send. Then you will enter the deposit address you earlier got from binance and then send the amount you want to send
(Note: Make sure the network you choose in binance is also chosen in coinbase and also double check the address in case of errors )
Then send

Since this is your first time, you can try it out with a small Mount first just to see if you actually understand the process


I also want to make it clear to you that you can actually purchase USDT directly on Binance. I think this is fast and less stressful

Can't you buy the USDT directly on Binance? I am just curious to know what you want to achieve with buying a coin on one exchange and send to another exchange.

Hope you are not using Binance.us to hold your coins? It is better you use a noncustodial wallet. Send your coin to a noncustodial wallet where you have the full control of your coins.

if I spent 150, after fees , the return is 137.37

if I use coinbase, I am only down 6-8 dollars

I am using binance.us for my DCA, I am not using it to hold my coins.

I just set up a trust wallet today, starting to mess around with it.

Sending your USDT to your Binance account is actually super simple. All you need is the wallet address where you’ll transfer the USDT. By the way, is your USDT on the Ethereum network? I just notice that the fees are pretty high.

Let me tell you, in this crypto industry, newbie users could just make a common activity so complex for themselves just like you did by buying your USDT on Coinbase and transferring to Binance.

Let to make your research before pushing to do it yourself. Perhaps it would safe you some technical stress but guide you flexibly on executing your transactions.

Moreso, buying on Coinbase and transferring to Binance was such an extra mile for you. Perhaps Binance is an exchange you can buy all sorts of cryptocurrencies including other USDT.

Periodically, Binance offers do offers those services of Coinbase. So next time, buy directly on binance.

I have not used coinbase but check your usdt addresses and choose any network of your choice but ot will be good if you use Tron network but solana is cheaper, and copy the address from your Binance and send funds to that address. Got to add/deposit funds and choose the usdt network you copied from Binance and paste it. Click on send funds.

Trust wallet is a closed source wallet and is not safe to keep your funds in it, if you need a multiple coin wallet, you should use unstoppable wallet.

Why did you buy USDT from Coinbase wallet and transfer it to Binance Exchange? Couldn't you buy USDT directly from Binance Exchange? If you bought USDT directly from Binance Exchange instead of buying USDT from Coinbase Exchange, you wouldn't have any trouble. But if you want to buy USDT with local currency of your country then you can buy usdt through p2p and later if you want to trade you can take it in spot account. But if you want to hold it for a long time then you can keep it in a non custodial wallet or Binance Web3 wallet.

It is true because fee on Coinbase when you purchase USDT is not cheap, and Coinbase has expensive withdrawal fee too. Doing this mean paying expensive fees two times.

Purchase fee is 3.5% on Coinbase.
Withdrawal fee is different with times but sometimes it is very expensive.

Since everyone in the US is only allowed to use Binance. I have also noticed those fees where they charge you are not the first to have made the complaint about such a high fee; it seems like they just have a fixed $12-$15 fee for each transaction. 
 
Talking about wallets, if you want to hold your bitcoin for long, using a closed-source wallet is not always advisable. Why not go for good bitcoin wallets like BlueWallet and Electrum, which are only for bitcoin and are open source? It also gives you more features than the Trust Wallet can.
 
On the other hand, it’s risky to hold both bitcoin and altcoin together in one wallet where they share the same private key because if you make a mistake in connecting your wallet to the wrong dapp, which steals your wallet phrase, not only altcoin will be affected, but also your bitcoins too.

sorry if this is not the answer you are looking for but I'm curious if you have considered buying through binance's p2p feature. I barely used it when Binance was available in our country(they got banned) but I remember that it can be much cheaper when you use those when buying crypto.

Yes, you can transfer your assets from Coinbase to Binance.US. Let me tell you, first go and install the Binance app and create your own account. Then go to the deposit section and select the cryptocurrency you want to transfer from Coinbase, which is USDT in your case. Take the deposit address and then go to the Coinbase wallet, select the send option, choose the amount, paste the deposit address, and click on the send option. Your asset will be transferred to your Binance account.

But why are you sending it from one exchange to another when you can easily obtain it on each exchange? You can also get this USDT from Binance in very easy steps, so why you are adopting a costly method instead of a simple one. Binance.US also provides an option for bank transfers; you can use your fiat to buy USDT through a bank transfer.

I completely forget about checking different networks. Thanks for this , I will test this out. This helps with transferring for cheaper.

Is there any thing cheaper than Coinbase for actually buying ?

For everyone else giving me advice how to deposit, yes yes I am new to concepts not the how to physically deposit

For example I know how to actually buy coins. My question was is there cheaper ways of doing it.

Coinbase has a fee , then I had a hefy fee transferring to binance.us.

Since I am in the us I can only use binanace.us and can't use binanace.com

My DCA bot is leverage trades on binance.us. currently binance.us doesn't allow buying directly from them , they have some us financial regulation issues right now. The third party they recommend is a little pricey. This is why I was buying some where else and transferring over.

Be an open source wallet means the source code is open, and available on its wallet's Github. So everyone, if want to explore, can use the source code, to reproduce the wallet by themselves. They can check the open source code, to find any back doors, malicious code if exists.

I think you should to re-read link you shared.

It is a core part of the popular Trust Wallet, and some other projects.

It means they don't provide source for other parts of Trust Wallet software, such as GUI. That means you can't build/compile Trust Wallet by yourself, which makes verification much more difficult.

From the little experience I have had with dealing on crypto and when it comes to purchase, sales transfer and holding of coin, it is not that difficult to do. All you have to do is just to install your binance app, do your verification and after a successful verification approval, you will activate your wallet address on your dashboard there and get your wallet address.

I think you should put into considerations the exact type of usdt chain you would like to withdraw in as the fees for each network varies with Ethereum being the highest of them all. After carefully choosing your usdt network to transfer through, you do same with the receiving wallet on binance.us the you withdraw and wait for processing and confirmation in your receiving wallet.

I would advise that you do not hold your assets on exchange website as they can not guarantee the safety of your assets. Always remember the slogan "not your keys, not your coin" it would help you to stay safe while dealing with crypto exchange. Save your assets with your self custodial wallet which you have control of the private keys well kept under your care.

The easiest way to deposit crypto (USDT) to your binance is just by clicking add funds, then you chose the crypto you want to deposit and select the address you want. After you put in the exact amount you want to deposit, although some amount will be deducted but that's for the transaction fee. However, you but be careful when doing this so that you will not send to a wrong address. And if you chosed ton network (because it's free) kindly remember to put in the memo tag before proceeding.
