When you hold a pair, your profit depends totally on how the two assets perform relatively to each other, not just versus one of the pair, for Instance….. you hold ETH/BTC because you think Ethereum is gonna outperform BTC, if BTC pumps 100% and ETH pumps 50%, your position still loses value in regards to BTC, even though both appreciated in price.  So holding of pair is only done by traders and not investors.

The dca strategy are for investor who are buying bitcoin and hodl for a long time, traders mostly time the market to buy when the market price has drop so they can sell if there is an increase in price so they can take profit but this don't mostly work for them since the market is can't be predicted correctly, most of them buy thinking the price will increase for them to sell and they end up selling in lost when the price continue to dip. Buying and holding bitcoin for long is the best by gradually buying with the dca strategy and hodl for long.

Both of them have two different modes of operation, and the way things are now, a lack of knowledge is what has gotten some people to the extent that they don't even know the difference any longer. And it will only get better if things are not solved accordingly, because from the beginning, some have an interest in trading just because they feel they can make quick money from investing in Bitcoin, and the way it has been is just that they think it is always about the figures, they forget that trading is risky.

Take out all these unnecessary comparison, we all know the clear difference between an investor and a trader and they themselves know what they are doing. A typical trader knows that what he's doing is just for the short run but because he's looking for quick profit, he would normally ignore those advising him to invest for the long term and keep gambling with the little that he has and when things eventually goes south, he starts to regret ever trying such kind of thing when he could easily focus majorly on investing in bitcoin.

The main point of Bitcoin investment is to continue investing for the long term. And that can be done very easily by following DCA. Mental stress and financial pressure are much less in DCA than in any other investment method. The DCA amount can be increased or decreased according to time and situation, which makes long term holding and accumulation even stronger.
