For sure bitcoin is a gift but it can make people to be rich, Bitcoin is a good investment for those who can hodl it as long-term investment to make good profit in the future. Bitcoin is like every investment that you can invest your money but the difference is that bitcoin has good profit in return by hodling it.

Bitcoin can't help economy if the people that are in charge of an economy are not doing the right thing that can make economy to be better. Bitcoin can't be a source of income for people whereby people can depend on it as a means of survival on a Dailly basis. Bitcoin will only help you to be more financially stable when you have a source of income that you depend on. People who have benefited from the profit of bitcoin never depend on it as source of income, they only invest on what they can afford.

The stock that are been held by the traditional finance, did he benefit large portion of the world because I don't understand the angle you are coming from. Bitcoin total supply is just 21 million and no one absolutely stop anyone from buying as long as you have the money to purchase it, it's censorship resistance and it's available any where in the world even if your government disapprove it, there are many alternatives ways to buy Bitcoin without getting into any Bitcoin.

What to should have said is that it's not everyone that is financially bouyant to buy Bitcoin, even when Bitcoin was cheap, there are people that were about it's existence but doesn't have the means to buy it and you know one thing about such people, if they work hard to buy Bitcoin at that cheap price, with the current price of Bitcoin, they will sell everything they have because they wouldn't be able to hold further due to financial status, tey have bills to pay and you expect them to hold, it will be difficult. There has never been any technology that received massive adoption by the whole world when it is newly introduced. Bitcoin even did well to an extent to have gotten this mass adoption even when the government was obviously against it in the beginning. There is existence of gold where people save their fiat against inflation, but not everyone has got a gold. It is not also everyone that are into bonds and stocks. So even if bitcoin is made to be free for anyone to acquire, there are still people that will not grab the free Bitcoin. In fact when bitcoin was newly created, the value was so ridiculous that it could be called a free coin. But how many people bought it and how many people believed the coin till today?

One big problem of humanity is their inability to adapt and accept new technology or changes to what they already know. There are still old men in my neighborhood who argue that an individual cannot create a currency, that it is only the government that has the power to create a currency. You make it sound very simple, but honestly it is not. Like one of the user here said in their reply, precious metals like gold, silver and so on could have changed their lives if they invested in those early. But they didn't because only a small portion of the people in the world were able to invest early in those metals to make them rich. The others didn't have any surplus money left with them to be able to enjoy any kind of investment. It is the same in case of bitcoin. They weren't able to invest in bitcoin because they are living form paycheck to paycheck. Moreover, bitcoin and other crypto currencies are extremely volatile. What you say is the original purpose of bitcoin was created but look at what is happening is that true? I mean, would you put all your money into bitcoin with the intention of not relying on a 3rd party and using it to make daily transactions instead of fiat? In fact, there are tons of other investments out there that don’t get much attention either. So it is no big deal if some people don’t invest—most didn’t plan to in the first place.

Maybe what OP meant, those who have invested in bitcoin have indirectly changed their finances and indeed until now bitcoin has not changed the economy in a big way but if you look at the increasingly unstoppable growth of bitcoin, it is possible that one day bitcoin will be adopted by many countries so that it can change the economy in a big way. For example, now we can see like El Salvador which adopted bitcoin as a currency and benefited from bitcoin.

Of course it's not bitcoin's fault because bitcoin since it first existed has been accessible to everyone, it's just that at that time there were still many people who were skeptical about the growth of bitcoin. But now with the increasingly rapid growth of Bitcoin, it has helped many people, especially in terms of finance.
