Those of you who have more experience with spotting alts and cheaters, please give me a hand with this account:

I left him a neutral tag almost half a year ago because it is clear that he is an alt account, but as we all know it is ok to have alts, the question is if you break any rules with them.

It can be clearly seen that he already knew the forum because the first thing he does is to set up a node and the first posts are exclusively about that. Apart from that, I don't really understand why he writes in the Spanish section because his Spanish doesn't sound natural, he sounds like a bot. As you can see, it's blatant how all his posts are geared towards getting merit: the node, translations of articles, posts in merit sources threads, the pumpkins....

Today, to top it all off, he opened a parallel thread in the local section about the 15th anniversary of the forum, and has already received a merit for it.

From what has been said, in principle, it does not appear that he has broken any rules, although it does not seem to me ethically correct to use the forum only to gain merit and not to exchange opinions in a constructive way, and that way of writing that looks like a bot makes me think that there is something wrong with that account.

The truth is there is no evidence of anything in your post other than your feelings which no one can rely on for anything. If he posts like a bot, then report those posts to the moderators and if they assess them as spamming,  his account will be banned. He might be guilty of some of the things your mind is telling you but until there is credible evidence, there is nothing anyone can do about that.

Precisely, I am opening this thread to see if someone with more experience can find some evidence.

I forgot to say the most important thing: he denies that he is an alt account, which for me in itself makes him untrustworthy.

I also think that this account is an alternative and even assume that it may be from Bangladesh. Why do I think so? Simply because I see several similar accounts that are also unlikely to be native speakers but use Google Translate and publish their posts where there are generous sources of merit.

All the merit he received was solely from Bangladeshis.
The same can be said about the merits sent.

Here is one of the accounts I suspect, which is not a native speaker but pretends to be. After being warned by @hugeblack, @GxSTxV and @mikeywith his posting in the Arabic locale suddenly stopped. Coincidence? I don't think so.

I also asked one of the accounts that I suspect of being alternative about the fact that he gifted an old post in Arabic. I asked if he was a native speaker, but naturally, I did not receive a positive answer.





Merits were sent after a few months. Does anyone really believe that these people read the Arabic section without knowing the language?

You can see the same picture with the flow of merits from the Zerato account. The behavior is identical to the behavior of N.O., who also copied the news and translated it with the addition of the source. Google Translate is their indispensable assistant.

Even though it looks like an alt account, its hard really to find anything as so far he has been pretty careful and doesn't have too many posts yet  (altough maybe too eager in his farm merit attempts which got him unwanted attention.) and he posts mainly in Spanish so rest of us that don't speak the language can't really help determining whether he is a native speaker or just using some of those AI tools.

My advice for you is to keep an eye on him and especially on the adresses that he us using as soner or later, many of them slip up.

I also see a similar pattern between the N.O and Zerato accounts and it is that at the beginning there are posting gaps in the post history but in the case of zerato I noticed that when he had enough activity and merit to move up in rank he stopped posting until he could get to the next rank.

Probably Zerato, N.O, cryptoWODL and AirtelBuzz are either alts or part of a farm, although we have no conclusive evidence.

Thanks for your effort but such spam usually comes from a small  farm of someone who has 3-5 accounts and wants to make extra income from signature campaigns.

Such behavior would be unacceptable if it came from a merit source or accounts with hundreds alts but it is difficult to rank-up without creating high quality posts. Overall @Zerato deserves a neutral trust and to be added to ignore list.

Maybe, but chances are that this is not his first alt account (assuming that it is an alt account in the first place) so he probably got caught before and learned from his mistakes. At least that should be the case when it comes to smarter account farmers.

We have no evidence. FYI, some of the accounts you mentioned above have been warned previously by our local members! Also, if you take a look at their merit exchange history, you'll notice most of the merits are from a certain thread, for example, the "WO" thread, or "Buy the DIP, HOLD" thread, or certain games and contest threads. They are clearly using a premeditated plan to rank up, buttering up legendary members on the way.

I sent a link to this thread to N.O. yesterday. He was online and even wrote several posts, but he didn't dare to respond to this thread to refute his accusation. From this, we can conclude that my evidence is true, and it would be fair to leave this account at least a neutral review, as you did for Zerato.

But I would like to add that N.O. is not a native Arabic speaker, but he started posting as someone who knows Arabic well. After that, he had several comments on his posts from people who know Arabic well. This can be called a scam for the sake of increasing his rank. He translated articles using Google Translate and did not bring anything new. But at the same time, he did not hesitate to receive merits from people from the Arabic section.

After his exposure, he also admitted that he used Google Translate. And now he posts exclusively in English. I will remove the neutral review if he proves he did not cheat with his posts in the Arabic section.

Man, just like that, no, it's not. But to post in the Spanish section you don't have to have Spanish as your native language. Maybe you were born in another country and went to a Spanish-speaking country to live 10 years ago, which would also explain some imperfections in your writing.

Although I think it is quite clear that in the case of Zerato and N.O. they are two non-native users who are using local forums to rank up, and using translation tools.

Looking through the profiles I just realised that they have been smart enough to join different campaigns. Even N.O and AirtelBuzz advertise Rollbit but in two different campaigns, one is the Solana campaign and the other is the traditional one, so they haven't broken the rules there.

What I can confirm is that @N.O can't write a single line in Arabic without using Google Translate and therefore the main purpose of his posts was to get merits^[1], we advised him to stop. Neutral trust is valid in this case and if you find any LB posts after June I will give him negative trust.

I'd advise that you just put him on close watch. Like you said, he hasn't broken any rules of the forum (yet) and if he is an old user in this place like you said, I'm sure he must know about the dos and don'ts so although it's not cool to participate here just for what you'd gain, in terms of the merits and all that, it's still isn't a crime, right?Even if it seems like he's just sucking up to the big guys just to get the merits, it's not enough to call him out until he does something really iffy..

i can also confirm the same, @N.O definitely doesn't know arabic, and all his posts on the arabic section are google translated.
other members of the arabic section can confirm this as well if asked.

Let me also add one. Buy Buy Buy or Sell Sell Sell? Those who don't understand bitcoin and it creation and don't know what is investment is all about went to those threads to make comments like

and got merits from those comments so they flooding those threads.

I think he ignored the warning, and after promising not to deceive, he continued in his spirit.

No, as far as I know she's not a shitposter in general, it's just that when I opened the thread I was pissed off because she had come to a thread of mine to bitch when she hadn't understood what we were saying. I called her out and she has come on a couple of other threads to do the same thing. I think it is a thing that will cool off in time and that we will be fine but I wanted to prevent this happening on this thread again.

I know that the question is not for me but in this case, although I have already left a neutral feedback and I am not going to change it because of that, I would not see it wrong if someone left a negative.

No, it did not fail. It made it much more difficult and they have had to create a system to be able to rank up as well as write with a certain quality. When I registered on the forum they still ranked up simply by seniority, by activity, and I remember the first few months until the introduction of the merit system a spamfest across the boards that has nothing to do with today.

Going through the connected accounts I see that Nalain420 and cryptoWODL have joined the same campaign. If they are alts here they are clearly breaking a rule.

For me cheating in merit does not deserve negative trust unless it was from merit source or the case contains a lot of merits.

As for @N.O, it is clear that s/he wants to increase income by creating more accounts, I have zero interest in gambling board so I cannot judge the quality of the posts but I hope @Hhampuz will review his presence in his signature campaign.

I will leave negative trust if account back to post in Arabic board or gets a paid translation job.

Pizza and Bitcoin_day Challenges have helped many to get dozens of merits, but over time,  only good accounts will continue to get more.
