They're too late, we already have Akademi Crypto, a project that mainly for education, mainly about Bitcoin, but in the end most people are in loss because the project now tend to discuss about altcoins and give useless signals. Tongue

It's quite surprising how they allow to teach about Bitcoin considering most people think it's high risk investment, not to mention the risk of fall to gambling.

That’s a great initiative, but is there also a focus on educating groups who are more vulnerable to scams, like older people? I love their effort to educate students but I am just wondering how many of them actually use Bitcoin. You know, It’s one thing to hear about it, but if you’re not actively using it then you’re likely to forget it over time. Plus, students are young and primarily focused on their studies, so Bitcoin might not feel immediately relevant to them.

That said, I was also surprised by the data showing they rank in the top 5 for the most users. It goes to show that education, in any form, can make a huge difference. Maybe it’s planting seeds that will grow when the time is right for them to be actively using bitcoin.

Bitcoin as a learning is needed. The group you are referring here, is probably an investment management company or trying to make money out of it. People must learn about Bitcoin, about its architecture and how it works. Now whoever wants to invest in it, it's their own decision!

In many countries, the school curriculum misses teaching youngsters about finances. I strongly believe that if Finances are being included, Bitcoin must be a part of it. The modern economy is incomplete without Bitcoin.

Bitcoin can be used for many purposes, gambling is one of its use cases but if you consider Bitcoin as your investment asset, it is not gambling.

Trading can be considered as gambling especially if you trade without knowledge and experience about trading in general and about Bitcoin market in particular. Trading can be seen more like gambling if you trade it with Leverage or Futures markets.

If you only spend your money to buy bitcoin, for your investment portfolio, it's not gambling. It is more secure if you know risk of "It's not your keys, it's not your bitcoin" to store your bitcoin in open-source, and non-custodial wallets.

Reminder: do not keep your money in online accounts

News like this are definitely what pleases every member of this community, but my question is, what actually are these children being taught about Bitcoin?. Is it the technological (technical) part?, Or the Economical part that has to do with buying/selling and others. It's quite alright that both of these two parts are taught, but I feel school children or any place where such programs are run should know more about Bitcoin as a technology. I believe they don't really need to go indepth in terms of technicality, but at least have ideas on some basic things. The financial part shouldn't be left out of it though. But it's quite unfortunate that my country isn't really pushing for something like this.

Such an innovative approach to education and support is a great way to inculcate the right knowledge into the younger future adults who would become billionaires because for many of us who went to the best colleges and have had to struggle financially, we understand that our certificates in whatever field, is not a guarantee to be rich or wealthy all of a sudden.

If more countries who are experiencing much worse financial crisis can go same way Indonesia, El Salvador are going with this teaching initiative and create an environment that is supportive of the ideals, innovation and vision of Bitcoin, make regulations that favor the use of digital currencies like bitcoin and allow collaboration with local communities and industries, there would be a new kind of wealth that will be created and worth whatever resources were allocated to it.

Am certain that Indonesia would experience an improvement in both the macro and micro economy of their country and in the lives of the individual's who participated in such program in the coming years

Its so cool to see stuff like this. Just the fact that these are some of the first big group educational settings/ pictures taken in promotion of bitcoin adoption it just tells me that we are still sooooo early to bitcoin and eventually you will see things like a Bitcoin Academy and Bitcoin University and things of this nature. Once Bitcoin is fully adopted I imagine Bitcoin applications will only grow and create more ways for society and its currency to interact with the world.

Indonesia has taken a very good initiative, but it has taken the initiative too late. Because the faster one can learn about Bitcoin, the faster that person will continue to progress, here you see that Bitcoin is currently ruling the world as a digital currency, so far those who have not taken this initiative to learn about Bitcoin are far away.
All knowledge about Bitcoin should be acquired, here are the most advantageous things for long-term investment, and more importantly, they should be taught how to attract Bitcoin in a better way. Here, everyone should be educated, whether they are teenagers, young men, or adults, because if you learn about Bitcoin, you will be able to benefit from all aspects.

But it's quite unfortunate that my country isn't really pushing for something like this.

But no matter what, all subjects should gain knowledge about Bitcoin, because here 700 boys and girls are being taught Bitcoin and every boy and girl will spread the light of Bitcoin. And I think they should be taught more very soon because this is how initiatives should be taken in unique places, this way the country of Indonesia can gain more knowledge about Bitcoin because whenever teenagers gain knowledge about Bitcoin, immediately the next generation will be able to gain more knowledge about Bitcoin.
Knowledge about Bitcoin should be gained from the primary level, and I think those who have been deprived of this Bitcoin education are far away, someone should bring them forward.

In this era, it is indeed time for any country to be able to expand education related to bitcoin, considering specifically bitcoin because it will provide awareness of the technology and nature of bitcoin. But once again, systematic education that is included in the curriculum is much better than just a seasonal event. These students need to get formal bitcoin education guidance. Because if it is only a cursory and there is no further education, it will not have any effect.

I'm thinking about this too, many people will be happy with news like this because they think this will make bitcoin more popular and help bitcoin price go higher, and they will get more profit. But if we put ourselves in the shoes of those students' parents, would it be good to teach them about investing and trading right at school? Have these kids ever learned about financial management? If they have never had any financial training or education, teaching them about bitcoin may not be beneficial to them.

What if they neglect their studies, use their tuition fees to invest in bitcoin, and even engage in highly leveraged bitcoin trading? Introducing bitcoin to kids too early is like a double-edged sword, it is not as perfect as we think.

Bitcoin education is good but the content is the key, I see a lot of Bitcoin conferences becoming get rich quick events, memecoins and some scam tokens with projects that promise you a lot of profits with minimal effort. If they were taught the basics of money, saving and how to avoid debt crisis. Taking Bitcoin as an example of cheap international transactions and long term investment, as well as the basics of creating a wallet and avoiding scams would be great.

What hugeblack said already is on my mind - if it's genuine, then that's great, keep it up.
If it's not that much and going after the profit - then nah. Not worth it.
I hope, of course, that it's (the foundation and what it does) going after the knowledge, not the profit, first and foremost.

This. I also hope for the foundation to not make BTC "an ultimate life change" that may correct many things in a person's life. Because it is not and was not created with such intent.
Genuinely, the wisest thing would be to start such a learning process with the BTC's whitepaper. Would clear many things out.

They need to know about BTC because it's the most reliable and trustworthy coin out there - after all, it all started from it. No wonder it's chosen for such an activity as educating the masses, and guiding them into the crypto space.
Theory then would be used in practice by the students.

Adopting such educational measures on Bitcoin in Indonesia will really take Indonesia a step further in Bitcoin adaptation. Now not only Indonesia but also our neighboring country India is slowly progressing in the field of Bitcoin education. Just as the world is moving forward day by day, digital currency is gaining acceptance among people. If the current generation does not know about these digital currencies, then they will not be able to use and value the digital currency in the future. Moreover, the positive decisions that various countries of the world are currently taking on Bitcoin must make the citizens of those countries aware of Bitcoin. That is why different countries of the world are adopting various educational measures related to Bitcoin.

The adoption is already high on the countries you've mentioned as you can see on the ranking below, India is even at the number 1.

I am from Indonesia and really happy and proud to hear the news last week, I hope there will be other schools that interested in this program by Bitcoin Indonesia. And I also hope that they not just teach about Bitcoin but also the blockchain technology in general, so there will be more people interested in Bitcoin as a technology rather than just only and investment asset. But for now this one is a very great movement.

Argentina has been one step forward in, unfortunately it's not Bitcoin but Ethereum, so I hope Indonesia could be the next or even the first to put formal Blockchain curriculum in high school.
