I don't think that the idea of ​​legalizing Bitcoin is good in this country. People can't afford to pay transfer fees. This really hits their pockets. Every cent counts. With such a small number of students, it is difficult to call this a victory for Bitcoin.

Just that small students means a lot, you should know that it’s going to be a gradual process, even bitcoin started growing gradually. When bitcoin was created, just little people knew about it then, and most people won’t think bitcoin will be so great and popular today, so you might be seeing that they are just little students, but I am sure with time they are going to grow. You are suppose to encourage them, I wasn’t expecting you to even condemn the population.
 
We all know it’s not going to pump the bitcoin price, but we are already creating awareness, which is also important. The more people get to know about bitcoin, the more it keeps on growing, so even the small student means a lot when it comes to bitcoin development.

We can also say that these students would spread their knowledge to who is around them, so 700 would become 1,500 or even more in the perspective.
It can't be measured, of course, but we can definitely say that it's still worth it.

If they are not told about all the shortcomings of Bitcoin, such as its lack of privacy, fungibility, and scalability, then they are not truly learning anything.

I wouldn't be so sure that Bitcoin will be even in hard-to-reach places. In my country, the government has banned all organizations that are associated with this activity. It is categorically against information being disseminated about this. Why? And you know what's the funniest thing? When sanctions were imposed against my country, there was no other option left than to use crypto for cross-border transfers. Checkmate.

As OP stated, Taruna Bakti educated middle school students. I think it is the right time to learn young people about the basic of Bitcoin or crypto.

Bitcoin is quite trending, it is as trending as Gold here. However, we need to make people aware about its trending. That's why it is important to educate people, especially for the young people. It depends on the goal of the organization. Your government should realize fast that people need to educate themselves on this crypto to avoid falling from fraudulent dealings over the net involving crypto. It is because of ignorance why people are being trapped on some scams. If they know how to approach on this market, they may prevent themselves from screwing up their funds from scammers who are using crypto to scam people.

This is why educating people is one good way to inform people about the pros and cons of this market. It would be easier to get out if you know the market itself. That is an interesting step by the Indonesian foundation. I love to support them physically but that is impossible. If it was possible to bring this initiative into the African community it would be very beneficial. Since more and more students are interested in tech, blockchain technology has been thriving in the digital world. I always say this. No knowledge is a waste, and age is not a limitation to anyone willing to learn anything new. The last time I know you have to pay in order to join their membership and what they teach there is quite controversial, I never joined their class, but I've heard the also teach you how to do airdrop which is quite funny for some people. Besides the fact you would get more knowledge here in this forum by doing your own study and without spending any money to do it.
So we cannot compared it to Akademi Crypto who do it for money here.

Indonesia has a quite low number of investment literacy compared to USA and we are still considered as a third world country. In term of making money, basically our school curriculum is the same, but yeah, that was a big step for a country like Indonesia to have more movement like this in the future.

Everyone needs a stepping stone who will give them curiousity and motivation to pursue learning bitcoin. This is huge already, yes we can learn cryptocurrency in the internet but giving them a starter is good move. Beginner guides are saturated today and bunch of affiliates and stt are in any guides, worst case is if you encountered scam links tells you to earn more. Every newbie can be vulnerable but with a proper starter knowledge, they can proceed to the legit and have actual transactions in the blockchain. It’s a step by step process, they need learn everything because eventually, lacking the important key in Bitcoin could make them not interested anymore because they’re clueless.

Yes, it's clear as day. Without practice, theory is worthless. A person should be shown how everything is arranged and works.
