Thank you so much for this raffle, Mopar! I want to let you know that my items arrived and they are so niceeeee And I was also very impressed by the fact that the box had my name on it, oh wow... I took some pics of my prize. Here they are:

The first chip is white with yellow secondary coloring - was supposed to be yellow with white secondary denominated in .0025 BTC

The second chip is black with purple secondary coloring - was supposed to be purple with black secondary denominated in .0075 BTC

I have one question though... Can these values be peeled? I did not see any address... This is just a curiosity, I don't mind if the values are only written on those stickers but they are not loaded in fact

Well, before they get peeled, you would need to assemble them. You should have received 2 poker chips and 2 holograms. These are DIY chips - meaning you would need to generate the address/private key pair yourself and assemble the chips.

edit:

in the one picture, it appears as though you assembled the chips as the holo's appear to have been applied. The private key would go under that hologram.

If you applied them without first putting a private key underneath you made an error in their usage.

Yup, I confirm I got those holograms as well! (I also placed them on the chips already -- I hope I didn't mess anything by doing this, lol!) But what I don't understand is how I can load the chips with any value... Can you give a few more details about the process, please? Like -- should I engrave somehow a QR code on those holograms...? Or how to do this?

first step - safely generate an address/private key pair - being sure to do in a safe manner - there are many ways to do this - you will need to fully understand the process and doyr
second step - you would need to print the private key and apply it UNDER the hologram - you could then load funds to the corrosponding address.
third step - to redeem funds, one would peel off the holo, revealing the private key underneath and then sweep the funds from that key.

The issue here is you already applied the holograms without a private key - if you peel the hologram, they will be not re-usable.


If uncomfortable or not understanding the key generation - you would have had to had trusted someone who could generate them for you.

If you want, I could send you 2 new holograms for you to follow the process above.

What I meant is that space (the small circle from the middle of the chips) is just so small... how could a private key or a public key fit in there...? Maybe instead of a public key a QR code could be generated and applied there somehow... in a minuscule form... but to write a private key in that small space... it just doesn't seem to fit....?

a private key fits there either printed or as a QR code - I used a square the size of .42" when I assembled them. I also used an airgapped printer to do it - not handwritten.

either way, as you have applied the hologram, there is no way for you to put a pk under your holograms. The existing ones would need to be removed, the chip cleaned of residue (left from the honeycomb) and a pk and new holo applied.
