One of the most mobile-friendly wallets that supports message signing is BlueWallet, and it’s available for both iOS and Android versions, and it’s also open source.

I have used it, and I will tell you that it’s easy to use and one of the fastest without needing any manual or technical knowledge.

I will best recommend you with these two, they are bitcoin only supported wallets and are non custodial wallets, they can be as well used in signing a message because of the way they happen to help users have access to their private keys and one can easily use them without much complexities.

Electrum
Bluewallet

Don't let anyone deceives that any of these is hard to use, all you may first have to consider is the security in them and the benefits for using them, with these, you can easily cope in getting along to how they are been used.

Not only that Trustwallet and Exodus do not support it, they are also close source and not worth using. The wallets developers are more concerned about profit.

Electrum is user friendly. Just go for standard wallet which is the seed phrase singlesig wallet and you will have no problem. Bluewallet is also good too.

Also the bug in mycelium wallet does not let me like the wallet.

Bitcoin mobile wallet suggestions
Bitcoin wallets.

You can choose Bitcoin wallets with OS, devices, features too.
https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet

Bitcoin recommended wallets.

Through your post, you shown that you are in learning process too, so writing blogpost to teach other newbies, in my opinion, is a risky practice. You can do this when you mastering Bitcoin already.

To sign a Bitcoin message, you need a Bitcoin private key, but in your signed message, you must never add your Bitcoin private key there. What you add to the signed message is your Bitcoin public address and other information like date of signing the messsage.

Because if anyone gets your Bitcoin private key, you will lose your bitcoins.

I prefer to use an dummy, empty wallet for signing message.

You can try a better HW airgapped wallet, try https://foundation.xyz/passport/

At best i would also like to not chose a wallet that forces the user to manually enter all 16 seed-words again during wallet creation process. 16 seed-words, Is this a mistake or did the wallet give you 16 seed-words?

Says who that electrum and bluewallet are not user friendly wallet's? In my opinion and to the best of my knowledge these are one of the two mobile friendly wallet's that are ease to use especially for newbies.

Secondly, if you have to see a wallet that doesn't prompt you to manually key in your seedphrases in the wallet creation process then it's a calls for you to be weary of such wallet security it can be seamlessly hacked into without much brute force.

Mycelium ain't user friendly?
I used it and it wasn't complex but it's the shittiest wallet have used.
Their app is unreliable and certain a time there would be difficulties logging in.
I use Bluewallet now and can attest to its functionality
Electrum shouldn't be excluded since its relatively easy to use and don't Compromise security for ease.

16 seed-words, Is this a mistake or did the wallet give you 16 seed-words?
I think Blockchain does, read something similar hereHelp with 16 word seed phrase? (10% reward if you can help me) when I was researching on BIP 39 seedphrase.
So they ain't BIP 39 standard.

Honestly, I didn’t know that Electrum has a mobile wallet, as I mostly use the desktop version. But you know, this wallet isn’t like regular wallets that support multiple coins in one application. So, I’m guessing the Electrum mobile wallet might not be very user-friendly?

In reality, only supporting one currency will make an application more user friendly for users that only want to deal with that asset.

Electrum always had a mobile wallet and it has been improved significantly over the last few years, with new features added that were only available in the desktop version. Navigation is also very easy.

Electrum wallet is available for mobile but in the past, it does not provide Signing/ Verifying a message. I don't know when they add this feature but with a latest version, you can sign and verify a message on Electrum mobile wallet.

Electrum
Bluewallet

Don't let anyone deceives YOU that any of these is hard to use,
You didn't write the YOU so I add it for you and Oh yes I will tell him that Electrum is not iPhone friendly and it is only bluewallet that is iPhone friendly. So the first thing to tell the Op was to know which kind of Mobil phone is he using. Before you can tell him which of the wallet to use. As for Android Phone, Electrum and Bluewallet is good while for iPhones though I don't know it is all but for iPhone x, xr and 11, and some other are not accepting Electrum Wallet.

Experience is the best answer for such..I have tried it and it is not working in iPhones so I installed bluewallet for people and Electrum for Android for them.
