have you guys ever heard of Balatro? it's a new card game that was inspired by poker and solitaire(at least according to one of the articles I saw and the description you can see on google playstore) that was released this year and has been nominated in different categories on Game of the Year awards.

it is not a gambling game but knowing casinos, I am almost certain that sooner or later they'll find a way to adapt this new card game into a gambling game.

This is my first time to hear this type of card game and I just did a quick search. I can see a lot of reviews on it. I like you rightly said it is mostly on Apple store and Google Play store for now. For those who love card games they would be excited by this at least those who have not heard about it before. For me I'm not a lover of card games but I would still give it a trial. I doubt if casinos would list it as one of their games because I don't think that that is how it works.  This game may just be on app store with people downloading it and play and wager like the other Brazilian game that was so popular.

As you can see, this game is quite popular and holds a user rating of almost 99 percent, but as I understand it, this game is very similar to the computer game "solitaire," or something that attracts office players as well as poker lovers and experts.
A user with extensive poker experience can provide an excellent recommendation. @memehunter, do you have anything to tell us about this exciting, as they say, game?
However, this game costs money, and you should buy it to play it. As for the casino, I have not found any information on this anywhere.

While yes it's a roguelike that introduces infinite replayability, I don't think it can be applied as a gambling game. While it has some elements that rely on luck, it's still ultimately a game that relies on the player's skill. Pretty sure even if the base logic which is Poker combinations were changed into something similar, the game would still be a pretty good game. If you try to remove the additional factors that make replayability fun (like the joker card feature that applies different adjustments to the cards and stuff), then it'd be pretty damn boring. Roguelike is fun because of all the stuff you can build to it in different runs. Gambling games don't do that.

To give context to other people, it's a card game, yes, but there's different factors involved that make replayability fun. The "Poker" logic was only used as a base, and a bunch of adjustments were placed on top to make it more fun. Not really for gambling, but I'd also recommend it lol. Fun game to play. I'd say it's pretty similar to how I'd play hours sometimes with crash/slots but with a lot more variety involved.

Wanted to try the game and install but the game is paid it seems nothing is free... about $10 to buy the game.

Not sure if this will be integrated into gambling games.

ooof, I didn't see this, I guess they made precautions to protect their craft. that being said, I wouldn't be surprised if a casino comes out with a game similar to Balatro but with significant changes to avoid copyrights and other legal things.

However, this game costs money, and you should buy it to play it. As for the casino, I have not found any information on this anywhere.

Yes, I hope that online casinos can adopt Balatro as soon as possible, even though I have read about Balatro in the same source as OP, I still have a little difficulty with the video game, even though it says combined decks in a poker theme, I don't get it either, Balatro is completely new to me.

I'm also curious about how Balatro works, even though it has been explained in the source, I'm sure if Balatro is quickly included in online casinos, I'm sure there will be a lot of interest, because most of us here gamble, if there's something new I'll be excited not to play.

Seen this on my nintendo switch e-shop but never interested to download it since I’m too lazy to play card game these days without money involved but checking the gameplay now including the review of this game from different outlet shows that this is a very good game.

I will not be surprised if this game will be introduced on evolution gaming live games since it has the potential to become a mainstream game on live games.

Gone to read about it online, the reviews are really heartwarming and some people are already advising it's addictive. The concepts are very excellent and it's features from my research is good. However it's not free on Google play, so I guess I'll not be trying it out immediately since the developers are charging fees for downloads, I'll have to factor it into my budget. From the positive reviews and description, I think it's a very nice game that I'll love to try out.

Since is not a gambling game as you said, how then will the casino consider implementing it in the future unless they change everything about the configuration and contest in the game design and coding to work on their system, game like this are not easy to get the onboarding casinos game's and the reason it's that hard is because of the Devs and it configuration making it almost impossible to get the copied to casino game's.

I have not heard of this game before, but making the nomination list of the games of the year is somewhat an impressive one and this nomination will bring them to the limelight at the end of the day, but still let's give it time to see how this game evolved and how the devs dive into the gaming industry and what there are ready to implement alongside.

This game is new for me, even the word itself. But one thing is certain, if this game will click for those gamblers and will gain enough popularity and demand, casinos will definitely adopt this provided that the procedure of the game is easy and not complex, and is engaging and may attract new players.

Also, if there is regulatory approval within the gambling boards association, then most likely in the future this new game will be introduced inside the casinos.

Well, I am glad that someone has invented a new game using cards and if you say that it is nominated for a Game of the Year award then I bet it's super fun.
Now, the problem is how online casinos will absorb this game and make it a gambling one. I mean, they did have a means to inject gambling into everything including our local games here in our country.
Its true, sooner or later they will find a way to adopt it and I bet it will be one of the hyped ones considering how new it is and how bored we are with the old card games.

It was nominated game of the year GOTY. And so many poeple don't agree with the nomiation. Their view is that the game is not as good as the impression that people are trying to make about it.

It isn't free. No way, I am going to purchase a game that will give me dopamine rush and keep me on my mobile screen for many hours. I don't even subscribe to the idea of purchasing any game.

This will not happen. This is not what the developers intented. If they had it in mind, they would have reached out to online casinos right from the start.

Nothing is impossible. The game can be challenging since we are in an era where content can be easily shared or modified. No matter the restrictions this doesn't stop for modification with different characters. After all the game was typically born out of solitaire because it has many similarities. In the meantime, the creator is avoiding any gambling applications, especially for the game not to be exploited in any harmful ways at this early stage. As time goes on, its possible that the Balatro game can revisit its terms and service to remove the restriction of using the game for gambling.

If we make our research properly, we may find out that there were games used in the casino which were not allowed before in the past. Things changes as time flies, so i wont say this cant happen.

Yes, I have heard about this game called Balatro, actually I know of it because it was nominated to be the game of the year some days ago. It seems to be a very fun game and it has a lot of potential to catch further attention from people who had never played poker before, however I pretty much doubt there will be adaptation of Balatro to be played in casinos, it would required the game to be overhauled at least once so it can involve actual money or make it PvP (PvP is already a rarity when comes to the offer of casinos for the general public).

Also, I don't know about you, but to me it is a little bit suspicious this pseudo-gambling game managed to make it to the top and be surrounded by other Triple A games which got release this year, like Astrobotn and the DLC of Elden Ring, I assume there was some paid promotion/advertisement being all of it... just another reason to disregard the Game awards altogether.

Anyways, in spite of all of that, I would still like to give it a try eventually

I'm not very familiar with the gaming world, but it does seem that this game is gaining a lot of popularity, and quite quickly.
It's already a standout game on both Steam and Xbox.
And as the OP himself said, it's a card game that was nominated for the Best Game of the Year award, not bad and certainly worth an "investment" to get to know it better, because given all its popularity, it's only a matter of time before casinos incorporate this game and possible variations into their platforms.

Well, I've already done some research and watched some videos, and from what I've learned, Balatro doesn't stick to the rules of Poker, allowing you to use your audacity and creativity to try to benefit from what the game has to offer. So, if you just stick to the "basics", you certainly won't get far, but if you pay attention to the "loopholes" that the game offers, you'll be able to evolve with some ease... you just have to be careful not to get to the point where the "system works against you".

It's just a call but when the casinos flock the dev and will offer hefty amount of money, he'll have to pullover of what he has said. Money will make this work with gambling after then.

Yeah, I haven't heard of this game before, but it did sounds something in our local language. But in any case if this is similar to solitaire for sure we are all familiar with it and so we can adopt and play this game.

However, as far as this being listed on crypto based casinos? I doubt it, if this is not as famous as other games, casinos are not going to do that as the audience might be very little. Similar to our local games wherein it was listed on casino like in 2018, but suddenly died down and we haven't heard anything about it for a long time now.
