Just yesterday, my cousin sister intended to introduce me to an online site claiming someone introduced her to. All she has to do is to visit the site app on play store, give them an excellent review and a 5 stars ✨. And then she should fund the account with minimum of $100 and hold while it keep increasing in value for her.
She was also given a task to refer people for bonus and then she can only place withdrawal when she has accumulated a minimum of $500.
She was excited seeing the value of her deposited $100 increased to $399. Then I told her that this must be a scam but she argued with me not til couple of days her holding surged to $502 then trying to make the withdrawal was like she was playing a demo game which means the site was sophisticated of scammers.
She cried her eyes out because the $100 is Worth huge amount of money in my local currency which could pay off her rent for a year 😞.

After the incident I adviced her to always make her research and consult from more exposed people before venturing into any online scheme because scammers are there on disguise and uneasy to be identified by unwary lacking the awareness of the high esteem scammers could operate.

Sophisticated you say? I see nothing sophisticated here. This is one of those outdated scams now that I am surprised your sister fell for.
Your story is evidence that you can only do your best to advice people about scam patterns but still the decision is their to make.
One of the main reason why any scam would materialise is greed, in this case your sister was stupidly greedy and wanted to double her investment without even knowing how the scammers would do that.

Newbies will always fall for something as cheap as telling them what they need to do is to get people signing up under them. The red light also is not hidden here on the reviews for an app. The point is if you are making a review for some company or a site be it an app, then you need to be paid by the company because you are helping them positively to grow and be known. So they are the one who need to pay you that is reviewing their services positively for them. So why the requirement for registration of $100 ? Haha... It is obviously a scam that newbies will fall for because they want to keep it secret and tell only those gullible people so they can sign up under them while they supposedly increase in the network.

It is pitiable to see that she wasn't able to identify that site is a scam one and again she was also desperate to make money through online because lot of people has been hearing the news that people can seat at their comfort zone to make money without knowing that the space is very risky and one should apply due diligence before even trying to pull off their heart earn money to invest or funds any site. That's how it works, unfortunately. Many people become blind to facts when they are told what they want to hear and believe, and that's what happened to your sister: she didn't even want to listen to you, and you became the enemy just because telling her the truth. That's how sects work, too.

Yes, and I believe it's the responsibilities of those educated and learned individuals to speculate this scamming schemes awareness so that it'd tip some cautious alerts on vulnerable victims when come across opportunities that they're not learned about.
Whether legitimate or illegitimate, it's Worth Consulting and making research before diving in to it since they're unable to identify which project or scheme is a scam and because they've so much befallen to online victims to scammers, they're also believed that bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are scamming schemes because they're digit currencies being only accessible with the internet.

I don’t use Google Play Store review to conclude if an app is legit or not, because fake apps pay people to make positive reviews about them on the Play Store. Your sister was just looking for an easy way to make money, and she doesn’t know that only scammers make use of that strategy. I don’t think anyone will ask you to register on an app and deposit some amount of money, and your money will be growing, it’s just obvious the app is owned by a scammer, but most of them are always targeting newbies. I am sure your sister will be kind of careful now.

Yeah, it sucks but that's the way these online scams go.  There's so many scam sites out there just trying to take advantage of folks who don't know better or are hoping to make some quick cash.  You tried to warn her that it seemed fishy but she wouldn't listen.  But hey, you live and learn right? I feel bad whenever I hear a story like this, but then I realize it's unfortunately not possible to save everyone from such scams, especially the ones who are new to things such as online earning and cryptocurrencies etc. Such people often think it's easy to earn money using cryptocurrencies, so they easily believe things that are too good to be true. They are told they can get thousands of dollars every month with a small investment and start to think it is true instead of thinking how it is possible.

People learn about these things after spending some time online. They will have to go through such stuff for at least some time, but over time, they will realize what is right and what is wrong, and then they will learn to differentiate between a person who is their well-wisher and a person who is pretending to be one. You can't expect a random Mike, Carl, John, or anyone to either call you or reach out online to give you an unimaginable suggestion about richness and even guide you through the process.

It's not so hard to give those stars to them and they can do that with multiple devices. And that's why do not rely mostly on the good ratings given by people on their own pages. And knowing Google, they don't filter scammers, scam ads, and phishing links. The fact is this, she doesn't have to make research or ask few questions before knowing that such things are from scammers any thing that involves investing an amount then refer others or do some things for your money to double is a pure ponzi scheme from educated and well trained scammers from the pit of hell. These guys are so smart they they can even allow some people to enjoy first withdraws so that they will be attracted to bring in more people who will invest more money so that they will make more money whenever they want to shout the site down and run away. Cubitcube was the last online ponzi scheme that a friend of mine invested almost $5000, he was so confident in the ponzi that he introduced his elder brother who invested $3000 but today they couldn't even withdraw nothing from there and the site is no longer working.

People should avoid online things where you invest $1k to get $5k in few days as they will always preach they will end up taking the little amount you invested because that's what they are after.
