What are you talking about? There are risks like this in almost any profession. Football is not exception. As far as I know, they're paid well and are nursed back to health before they get to play again while still receiving wages. Even in white color jobs, incidents like this happen from time to time. Until more details about his condition comes out, all we can do is speculate why if it happened. It might be due to stress.

The fact that a player collapses doesn’t necessarily means that we should be discouraged from ever participating in football, and by the way how many other players have you seen collapsing like this? It’s not something that we see everyday so why should you be worried about it?

It's really something you can't avoid; it could happen in any sport, but there are rules for the bookies on that. As far as I know, the general rule is that if the outcome is already determined, like if you bet on over 1.5 goal and they scored 2 already, you'll get paid. Other than that, all bets are voided. it's always a bad feeling to see someone struggling or fighting for his life while playing football and regardless of his team and even if i don't support them or even if i placed a bet on it or not, the humanity in me and the sportsmanship in me will make me feel hurt when i see someone going through that kind of thing. i didn't watch the game because of the premier league big games that i was watching but after the game was done i saw some footage on the media and believe me it was not looking friendly at all. it reminds me of the Marcelo incidence that saw a player's leg totally broken in a place that is far from the joint. while we pray for quick recovery, this is just what can happen to anybody in any chosen field and might not necessarily be because dude is on the pitch. could be an underlining health condition or something but hopefully proper media briefing should have been out in no time if it's not already out.

People collapse, and possibly die in different places, ways and manner bud, the field is not the only place a person can collapse, people have collapsed even in the hospital, they get rushed inside a room and administered treatment immediately, but later on, they end up dying.

If I love football and decide, and have the opportunity to take it up as a profession, I will without any fear or doubt, for Last last, a man must die of something.

It is awful situation, but we have to understand that it is professional sport and it has its own risks. In football we see that the quantity of the matches increase from year to year and today it becomes critical. The same time training becomes harder and we get such results. Someone can remember Christian Eriksen on the European Championship. But the entertainment industry don`t stop.

In such situation i feel myself sorrow, but the same time i remember that this sportsman made his own choose.

As about myself - i`m still in the football, for 20 years of playing on different levels i`ve got problems with knees and ankles, several other injures. Sometimes i wake up several times per night due to strong pain.
But my son right now training hard to become a professional football player. He knows about all problems with it, but wants to continue.
