Having money is important. You cannot live a good life if you do not have the money. See the people around you who do not have enough money to meet their day to day needs and you can well imagine their problems and issues in life. The only thing which i feel is even more important than money is "Health". Think of a person who do not have health but a lot of money, he wouldn't be happy with life because Health is important to enjoy the pleasures that money can give.

Different people will give you different answers but I think it’s clear that it’s difficult to be happy if you live in true poverty. You don’t need to be super rich to be happy but having enough to cover basic essentials with a bit of fun money in addition goes some way to allowing you to be happy. the rate at which inflation and uncertainties is hitting the world has placed us in a spot where trying to get more money is no longer a bad thing because that is the only way to possibly diversify into other sources that will help protect you against the effect of the uncertainties we are currently facing. there is a saying that goes, what money can not do, more money can do it. and this for me is the reason why you should not be too quick to settling down on making more money just because the one you have is able to solve your basic needs. being desperate to get money by all means is bad but genuinely trying to increase your finance is the way to go in this current world.

I agree with you, nobody feels satisfied enough when it comes to money problems, and I am wondering whether there will ever be someone happy with what they have and stops looking for money. It is clear that no one will ever be satisfied with their money, and everyone will continue to chase it until they no longer exist in this world. Money is important but we should not be so desperate to get money because we might end up doing wicked things, such as committing crimes, just for the sake of money.

Just like you said, the value of money cannot be overemphasized it's so important that people can go at any length to get it even if it means doing something illegal. Money is essential but the love of money can lead to evil, so this isn't something anyone should get obsessed with. IMO for generally two groups of people money is not important [anymore]

1.] People living totally off grid and truly self sufficient and who are able to set up their lives with the
minimal amount of money would not feel that money is important, they dont need all the comforts
of living a main stream live with a job, mortgage, weekly grocery shopping, letest smartphone,
hooked up to social media and working a day job for a wage, They dont necessarily have a pension
or a savings/bank account.

2.] The super rich have already so much money that it isnt a worry for them and probably as they seek
power it becomes less important. At that stage they already know how to make more and how to
make sure they keep it.

There were times I really wished if I could get such X amounts of money I will be satisfied and enjoy it without stressing myself to make more money believing that that will be sufficient for me. But as I grow older and responsibilities started avalanching as a family man I discovered that what I earlier wished for was just peanut and I needed to have so much that I can imagine.
We can't literally have all the money in the world but we need this money and there's no amount which can be enough because the more money you make the more your wants, tastes and desires changes and to meet up means more quest for more money.

Human needs are insatiable but there is a need for contentment. In most cases, people keep pursuing wealth until they die. Without money, life will be terrible because you need it to afford your basic needs. There is nothing wrong with making more money, but it becomes a problem when one begins to pursue it by any means. People do many illegal things just to get more money. For me, I would work hard and do everything legal to make money. But I don't have the drive to keep pursuing wealth without considering other things that make life beautiful. I prioritize good health, spending time with family, and engaging in my hobbies over spending all my time pursuing money.

"Money is the root of all sorrows." This saying is as true and practical as not having money. Just as money is needed to fulfill the basic needs of human life, excess money can also take away the happiness and peace of human life. Happiness is a matter of human enjoyment. Having a lot of money is not something that will make people happy or satisfied. There are many rich people in our society who are not happy in real life. Again, those who work hard all day, that is, those who are daily wage earners, can sleep in absolute peace at the end of the day. Again, if the loved one of that daily wage earner is seriously ill and needs a lot of money for him, then that daily wage earner becomes helpless. Then the need for money is understandable.

Therefore, we need money so that in emergency situations we do not have to depend on others.

You actually did a great job here in misunderstanding me and that's why you could say am being greedy when I obviously made it known that we can't have all the money in the world. A greedy person wouldn't say that, right?

Anyway, just like you said in the rest of your comment which I agree with, if we can have that money which is enough to live that comfortable to be able to provide for our personal needs and family then  we should be sufficient with it than going for all the money we think our hands can grab.
