I've also been seeing the error on and off for the last week.  Interestingly, when the website is working, if I keep a browser window open on the page (and if the window doesn't reload), then I can still click around on the tabs and play the Hi-Lo game when the site is technically down.  It is good that they coded the website well to work on the client-side, and not hit the server with excessive reloads.

As a web developer, I've faced the dreaded 500 internal server error many times.  It is one of the most frustrating problems, because the error is so descriptive, right?  You check the error logs, as advised, and many times there is nothing helpful in there, either.  Fun stuff!  I learned to check file and directory permissions, and that solved a lot of the problems with my scripts.  If it wasn't a permissions problem (99% of problems were file permissions for me), I'd comment out all the non-working code, and add stuff back in one section at a time until I found the culprit.

Internal Server Error can be caused by the following:
- Incorrect file and directory permissions
- Database problems - query errors, slow response
- Misconfigured web server - mistakes or issues with .htaccess files or virtual hosts
- Large files on website consuming too many server resources
- Too many users hitting the server at the same time, consuming too many resources
- Connectivity issues
- Conflicts between different software components (why can't programs play nicely together, right?)

Anyway, my heart goes out to the web developers.  I hope they are able to figure out the problem and fix it, soon.

Last 2 weeks I've experienced error 500 too, almost every day... I hope freebitco.in stay online and solve this problem because it is decreasing its reputation.

We worked for a day and again this error. Maybe this site is already unavailable in half of the countries in the world. That's why this error pops up. I myself am from Belarus, I heard that in Russia this site was blocked by Roskomnadzor. In our country, it seems, it was not blocked.

there are a lot of complaints about this faucet on https://www.trustpilot.com/review/freebitco.in. Apparently the time of faucets has passed.

Internal server error. This error has been occurring since February 27, 2025. Today is February 30, 2025. The homepage works, but when you try to log in, the address appears as "freebitco.in/signup". It should appear as "Login". Clearly, when you enter your credentials, the "internal server error" appears. We'll continue waiting for this problem to be resolved. It's happened before, but not for so many days. It's a shame because it's been a great site for over ten years.

Apparently, today, March 31, 2025, everything is back up and running. The page is still at "freebitco.in/signup," but you can now log in. There's one thing to keep in mind: I tried logging out, but it doesn't close; the session remains open forever. Be careful for those who don't use two-factor authentication. This could be a security issue. Ultimately, the page is working; just keep a few details in mind. Regards.

For many years I honestly collected the faucet. Then everything started to go down the drain like everywhere else. For example, they installed a stupid Cloudflare captcha, it often does not work and you had to spend points to solve it. They removed the ability to receive a 1000% point bonus for 24 hours. Not a single lottery ticket has ever won anything in 7 years. Dead support service. In general, I put up with all this and collected. Now let's move on, error 500 for more than 2 weeks. And now it's even more interesting, they stopped withdrawing funds to users, although the user Mārtiņš Trimdals on https://www.trustpilot.com/review/freebitco.in writes that he received a withdrawal. If there are withdrawals from them as of March 31, 2025, throw a link to the transaction.

The site is up and running. Here's proof of my withdrawal today.

https://www.blockchain.com/explorer/transactions/btc/f597709ce6233ce22c0871e4e164fc4696ca8de24fc3bed470cd3335fb66fc01

The email confirmation states:
We have just sent a payment of 0.00388659 BTC to your bitcoin address 125EWJjiSiC2eTzX1wr3HbswUWRsFQ5jNU.
To view the transaction, go to https://www.blockchain.com/en/btc/tx/f597709ce6233ce22c0871e4e164fc4696ca8de24fc3bed470cd3335fb66fc01.
It might take upto 6-24 hours for the coins to appear in your wallet.
If you use a desktop wallet software and are unable to see the coins, please leave your wallet software running to let it sync with the network after which you will be able to see the full balance in your wallet. If you use a web wallet and are unable to see the funds in your wallet, please contact the wallet provider with the transaction link provided in this email.

The site is up and running. Here's proof of my withdrawal today.
no withdrawal for 3 days already. I requested a withdrawal on March 30 at 23:15, no funds yet. Screenshot of the pending transaction and also a screenshot of the change of the withdrawal address, because I did all this on the day of the withdrawal.

Having looked at the transactions on the link, I see that there are transfers to addresses starting with
bc1 as far as I know, this faucet (freebitco.in) does not withdraw funds to such addresses, and they still have not set up segwit transfers. I tried to save an address of this type 2 weeks ago, but the system does not want to accept this type of address.
