Bitcointalk telegram bots excessive notification.

So I taught I should ask the community if any one here has also experience this particular error that occured in the telegram superbot notifier. So i typed a reply to a thread yesterday and as normal log out of the forum to rest my head since it's late and this morning a friend of mine called me on my phone stating that I mistakenly reposted same thing UpTo 57 times  which he knew caused he got me tracked on his telegram notifier.

The surprising thing to me is that from my own end I had no problem whatsoever in posting that reply because my internet network was smooth which means it must have being from the bots end.

Just curious to know what might have caused this .

The bot works perfectly but sometimes, I notice that it doesn't notify me if new topics on time. On some days, It will take hours before I get a notification but when I check the forum, I'll see new posts.

There are times where the new topics will come in batches after some hours.

I don't know if this is how it is programmed to work on some days.

Why do you create a new topic instead of just posting in the topic of the notifier?

It's not just you who experienced it, I think I also experienced it although it wasn't 57 times. I got double notification which means only 2 times.

btw, saya kaget ngeliat mentioned di telegram (bitcointalk supernotifier) dari sampeyan kok sampe 43 kali ya?. apa errornya di thread ini atau bot telegramnya?.

One of our local board users also experienced the same thing, he got 43 notifications for the same topic. So, I think it's not a mistake on our end. It was a problem in the notifier, now the problem is gone, I think it's fixed.

I seems not to understand this line because, I never used the notification bot to reply a messages on the thread they mentioned me. Though I don't know if that features has been implemented (I could be wrong) or not but as far as I know had never used the bot to reply messages directly from telegram to the forum. Maybe it could be from your system or smartphone and when you posting it never reflected at that moment. However you can redirect your questions to the official thread of suppernotifier

I always thought that the notification bot was designed for the direct use of one account. It works great for me and without failures. Maybe your friend should figure out what is more important for him: to receive messages about his activity on the forum or to follow someone else? Honestly, I may not have delved into all the bot's capabilities, but I am only interested in my person and information about myself. For everything else, it is enough to read the forum.

Why do you create a new topic instead of just posting in the topic of the notifier?

OP needs to know what is Meta board for?

The Meta board description is "Discussion about the Bitcoin Forum." and this board purpose means this thread was posted in a wrong board.

It can be posted in the Telegram bot announcement thread, if there is such a thread in forum, in fact there is that thread. If there is no announcement thread, it can be posted in Service Discussion board.

This is the first time i have seen anyone saying they got notifications like 57 times. Anyway, I haven't encountered anything like that. Maybe one or two times maximum, but not for BTT but at ALT bot. I do get repeatedly notifications for the same topic, but only because I set that topic to my tracked topics, and because the topic is very crowded, that causes the repeated notifications. Nothing unusual.

Aside from those times where we get repeated posts about one scam scheme or the other because of those scammers posting over And over again, I've not seen a situation where the bot gives me the same notification more than once. Are you sure your checked how if the bot was giving you notifications that was a result of you tracking the topic?

Well there is no big deal with tracking someone else on the forum as long as you are not stalking them for the reason of things like monitoring their posts and looking for errors or just trolling and arguing with them simply because you don't like them and not necessarily because you want to I air a valid view.
But if it's for the reason of learning from them it's ok.

I guess it was my bot? Please tell me for which posts he got the duplicate notifications, also if it was for mention/merit/tracked[topic/user/board].

I think I might have fixed it. Testing notifications with this post as well.

Will work on some stability updates to make sure this doesn't happen again.

My bot is working very fine and I have not had this kind this issue before so it may be perculiar to you. This only time I saw something like this was when those spam bots were making those scam post across several boards with different newbie accounts. There was a time a received hundreds of their notification containing how they exploited stake casino but I know the mods are active in arresting the situation whenever their spamming starts.

It wasn't only him, others had the same issues as well and its fixed now.
