So, I came across something recently that got me thinking. A lot of us are just HODLing BTC, waiting for the bull run, right? But what if there’s a way to make your BTC work for you while you wait? That’s where this BGBTC thing comes into the picture.
I did a bit of digging, and from what I understand, it’s a structured product aimed at letting BTC holders earn without messing with their core holdings. Sounds like a good middle ground for those who don’t want to sell or trade actively but also don’t want to leave their BTC doing nothing.
Not sure how the community feels about this yet, but I think it could be worth exploring. I mean, if the risk-reward aligns with your strategy, why not? What’s your thoughts? Is it better to HODL tight or make your BTC work a little?

Whatever that sounds too good to be true is a scam; bitcoin mining apps or platforms are scams as far as I'm concerned; bitcoin staking offering platforms are also complete scams. One of the biggest mistakes to start with is entrusting your holdings to someone else, all in the name of allowing your bitcoin to work for you. It's double risk. It's better to hold my coin and be sure of its safety than to allow my greed to take a hold of me.

I get where you’re coming from, there’s definitely no shortage of scams in the crypto space, and being cautious is a smart move. But I think it’s also worth distinguishing between outright scams and legit platforms or products that offer new ways to utilize BTC. The key is due diligence. If the platform is transparent, secure, and regulated, it might not be about “greed” but making a calculated decision based on your risk tolerance. Of course, nothing beats self-custody for safety, but for those comfortable with exploring options, some legit platforms exist that offer solid opportunities without compromising ownership. At the end of the day, it’s about finding what aligns with your strategy. HODLing is always a great choice, but I wouldn’t dismiss everything outright without looking deeper. Curious to hear your take on how to spot the good from the bad in such cases

No need to do further investigation, stop the bullshit and start working hard to collect more fiat to buy Bitcoin. No one wants to risk our Bitcoin with something that is wrapping itself as real btc. Bitcoin is Bitcoin not BGBTC etc.

It may be something bad, it may be something a bit better, but I think, genuinely, that it's better to just await the breach of new ATH and keep accumulating than to go into projects like that related to BTC and then there is loss of control of your BTC.

The only way to earn an income from Bitcoin is to lend it, collect interest, and hope you get your bitcoins back.
There is no other way.
No matter how the product is structured, it always boils down to this.

We're really in the bull run when people comes up with these ideas. Is it better to HODL tight or make your BTC work a little?
Hodling is making our BTC work for us.

If I might ask? What does the BG stand for? Cause I know the other one means Bitcoin so can you enlighten us? waiting for the bull run, right? But what if there’s a way to make your BTC work for you while you wait? The bull run has started though. Don't know what it is you're waiting for. You're trying to sell this product or project as legit but it's begging in so many areas and it looks to me like a scam.

Hodling is making our BTC work for us. Those ideas are no other idea than a means to try and steal people's bitcoin from them; if not, what exactly do they want to use those bitcoins for, and how do they plan to put it to work where they could be able to raise the high ROI? In this unpredictable market, which makes it even more difficult to day trade with it, they say that they will settle holders with trading profit. Everyone should just be careful in this bull run not to lose their coin to those who try to promise them what can't be offered; it's better to just sell off and be at peace than to lose it all where the person is in search of extra profit.

This proposal won't can't work as thought or maybe I should say you're talking out of illusion because bitcoin I know as a blockchain does not have a manipulative strategy to how a holders holding would take a move as to bring profits to the holder while other investors holding are stagnant. You just need to understand that the volatility of bitcoin market is effective to every holders so there's no way you can push your asset to bullish when the market is currently on the bear. You just can't cheat on the crypto volatile market but you can only apply a trading strategy to eject the from the market as to avoid looses and even as that, you can't be totally lost free.

That's true to some extent, lending and earning interest have been the traditional ways to earn from Bitcoin, but innovations like BGBTC on Bitget aim to redefine that. BGBTC allows you to stake your BTC and earn competitive APRs while still benefiting from BTC's price movements. It’s more than just lending. it’s a way to grow your holdings while keeping control. What do you think about this alternative approach? Could it change how BTC holders earn passively?

I bet that they'd use it either for lending as well or for trading. We've seen how FTX and the Luna fiasco did happened. They're all the same. There's nothing new, there's no extraordinary thing that they are about to do. It's all about like that. What they do is same-same with the cons that they have seen how it did it. And that's why to see something like this really is a sign that we've already got in a bull run and it will take time for it to close down.

If BGBTC is Wrapped Bitcoin issued by Bitget exchange than it is better to stay away from that. This is NOT a real bitcoin and I don't trust anything coming from Biget or any other token coming from centralized exchange.
