Hehehehe if the French government is ordering the ISP in their country to block Polymarket then it appears that Polymarket is not really illegal because they do have the laws created to regulate this, also because if they do have the laws, the French gambling commission officials would be the people telling everyone that they are not allowed to use the website.
I reckon the real problem on this occurrence is the gambler does not need to register to Polymarket to use this. The gambler only needs a wallet and some cryptocoins hehehehehe.
France's gambling regulator, the Autorité Nationale des Jeux (ANJ), ordered internet service providers to block Polymarket on July 16, treating the prediction market as an illegal gambling site rather than a financial trading venue.
The ANJ said earlier restrictions had failed to keep French users off the platform. Polymarket drew 578,751 visits from 205,057 unique visitors in France in June, according to Similarweb data cited by the regulator, despite a ban on financial transactions in place since November 2024.
