Bitcoin and Beauty
Among Bitcoin enthusiasts, discussions often revolve around cryptography, decentralization, and financial freedom. The sector predominantly attracts tech-savvy individuals and geeks, mostly men. At BitPolito, we believe that mass adoption of Bitcoin will not happen as long as the environment remains unattractive to women. We need to engage them not by imposing gender quotas, but by highlighting the aspects of Bitcoin that captivate them the most.
In our office, there’s a large painting of a blue cow by Evelina Vasileva (

"It’s not necessary to rely on abstract graphics or sterile, impersonal digital designs to emphasize a modern and technological nature. Technology can coexist with the craftsmanship of handmade work. There’s always an element of randomness in what is handmade; it’s never perfect, and that makes it human.
I painted this cow specifically for the BitPolito office, using charcoal, acrylic, and watercolor. It’s very charming and complements the pixel art and posters beautifully."

"The Blue Cow," Evelina Vasileva, 2023
"The Blue Cow" serves as a visual manifesto for the BitPolito brand, provocatively challenging the traditional aesthetics of Bitcoin's visual culture. At first glance, the monumental figure of the cow, dominating the entire canvas, seems ordinary and understated. Yet, this unadorned representation breaks away from established visual conventions, moving beyond the typical motifs of orange coins, Guy Fawkes masks, and aggressive laser-eyed graphics.
The cow is not the traditional bull of Turin, the historic symbol of the city’s coat of arms, but its hypothetical counterpart. It embodies softness and accessibility, bringing Bitcoin out of its niche and projecting it into mainstream culture. In this subject, simplicity intertwines with conceptual depth: the cow becomes a gentle yet assertive invitation to view Bitcoin through fresh eyes, initiating a groundbreaking interpretation of the conversation.
Through this work, Vasileva weaves together the cultural codes of Turin’s traditions with the innovative spirit of the local Bitcoin community, one of the most active in Europe. The dominant blue evokes the heraldic shield of Turin, no longer a guardian of the city's historical values but a symbol of protection for a digital economic future.
