The regret of how you should have use the money for something else instead of gambling right but that's too late and you should never be angry for your own decisions, your decision was a bad one but if you have know from the beginning, you wouldn't start in the first place but you did. Majority are losing in gambling, only few are winning. People lose because aside that's the goal of casinos, they have this mindset that gambling will be giving them instant money. And as far as experience goes, even if people says that they are playing with the money that they can afford to lose, still in terms of mentality, you will still feel it and will have negative connotations and so it's better to just stop to avoid this kind of feeling.

So it's a good decision for us to really stop and no to bet anymore. I know it's hard, but it's better this way, just keep yourself busy and stay away from the thoughts of gambling. And it's holiday, so it's better to stay away and just have fun with your families.

I think that such stories as with OP have happened to many on our forum, but as for me personally, I probably always dreamed of earning money by betting, until years later I realized that it is almost impossible. I am not saying that there are no such people, but you have to be a really super professional in this business and those sports and just live it 24/7. If we really want to earn money and have a smaller luck factor, then we better choose the business that we like, and come to gambling only for fun and testing your luck.
