I do it all the time. Actually most of the time it is the main topic of discussion. Business, stocks, crypto, interest rates, loan opportunities, real estate…

Politics is a hot topic too but it gets boring quickly.

Money on the other hand; no matter how much you have it, no matter how much you talk about it, you can’t have enough of it.

It is probably because my friends are just like me. Once we start talking about money, we can’t be stopped easily. There is always something new in the news and those news always affect the markets positively or negatively and just like that we have infinite material to talk about.

I think the tittle of this thread is not in the correct form. It should have read "do you discuss money with strangers?"

IMO, like minded friends are the perfect people to discuss issues like this with or no one. For someone to address anyone as friend simply means they have come along way and seem compatible. It doesn't matter whether you discuss the amount or not but your friend already know your worth or source of wealth. Unless you're just getting to know each other, this information can not be hidden from your friends. By the way, you can't just meet someone in couple of days and start addressing them as friends. Friends are suppose to be an idea sharing partner in the first place be it wealth creation or other life problems because friendship is all about trust and loyalty.

However, it's not ideal to share such information with casual friends or coworkers who you accidentally meet with. Discussion should have a limit with any random person especially in the aspects of money or related matters. Politics is a good idea but in most cases, it doesn't always end well. Hence, I don't find it interesting unless with very close friends.

Brilliant, you do not have to disclose your worth, we know how friends can be sometimes, but discussing financial hustling and opportunities with friends can't be bad. I am the kind of a person who is not selfish, my conscience will not even let me, so I discuss every earning opportunity I know with my family and friends, and even my neighbours who had the opportunity to spend some time with me. This is a small world, we can't benefit from everything alone, so why not let those close to us also benefit?

If you have a good relationship with that friend of yours, there is no problem discussing crypto matters with them but not about your holdings. You can as well introduce them to crypto but you will also need to tell them the risks involved with cryptocurrency and not only the brighter side of it. You have to be sincere in letting them know about the good, bad and the ugly side of cryptocurrency then if they develop interest in it, you educate them. A friend is someone who you are comfortable with and can relate most things about your personal life so there is need for both of you to know what you engage in so that you don't raise suspicion against each other because if you fail to let each other know about what you do for a living, it will create a distrust between the both of you and we can't really call a situation like that as friendship. However, except for people who are dear and close to you, it is no body's business to know about your personal life and what you do for a living.

The reason is because, no matter how well you think you know someone (your friend), you can never know what their thoughts are, because you are not seeing their heart you don't know what they are thinking.  Another reason is that, when a friend is aware of your income, they could make it a habit to ask you for help or ask you to loan them money all the time and when you ignore their request, they could tag you a bad person because they already know that you are capable of filling their request and just didn't want to. I had this experience once and it caused an issue between me and the guy.

that does make sense, even though they are our friends but of course there are boundaries about what we need to discuss with them; and about our source of income it doesn't need to be discussed with them, just let them guess how much money we get each month. tt's better to keep the topic of our financial condition away from our friends, because as you said that no one can guess what a person is thinking, how their heart is after knowing how much money we get each month, just in case we have to pay more attention to small things like that so that there will be no problems in our friendship in the future.

Definitely refrain, people look down on you when they lose and you told them. Everyone from a distance is hoping you lose anyway, trying to beat the market. They'll just tell you it's foolish and your wasting your time. It's also confirmation bias for them that you don't need to share, it gives them a psychological upper hand when you do it again in the future. They'll only doubt your intelligence even more. You'll get into a cycle of having to prove your intelligence again.

I think everyone does not need to prove their level of intelligence to stupid people who do not know how to be grateful and appreciate the knowledge of others because if someone lives in an environment like that, just do our own work without having to tell others and also without having to beg to be recognized that we are smart in certain fields. Because from what you said I can conclude that people who do not like us will never believe in the achievements and intelligence that we currently have, while people who like us also do not expect any proof from ourselves because they have liked and believed in us without having to make an extraordinary proof in our own lives.

It really depends on the friends I meet, there are friends who connect when discussing finance, especially about crypto, and there are also friends who don't like to discuss crypto assets, some even skip crypto even though it has been explained well. Basically, what I know and learn about finance, I will definitely share the information with friends, especially close friends because I don't want to be successful alone, I want them to have the opportunity to achieve financial freedom in the future.

However, I still maintain my own privacy about the assets I have and what I should keep so that I don't need to tell them. I only provide information on how to manage finances in old age by investing in crypto and do not direct them to invest in certain coins. This depends on the friend you are taking about. I ha e normal friends that doesn't do crypto, some knows I do crypto while some doesn't know, some other friends I have do crypto. The thing is, even if you are doing crypto, I'm very observant when it comes to my share of crypto, it's not everybody that I do share my crypto discussion with, I know somes guys as friends that feel insecure when you tell them what you have and I have some friends that doesn't do crypto but feel okay discussing everything with them.

Human being are different and you can't discuss everything with everyone you think are your friend, not just really it has to be crypto but anything financial together. There are some guys do consider me as a friend which I don't snub them but we have never for once discussed anything crypto for once, it's always about academics because of their beliefs, till now you can't convince them otherwise about crypto and I respect their decisions, not a do or die thing.

Unfortunately this is usually true, depending on how you present yourself, they may think that you have a lot of money and constantly end up wanting more. They know that I am involved in bitcoin, and have some aside as well, but they think like I have a ton of bitcoin but in reality I do not have even a single bitcoin, I have like a very small number in the end. This is why I believe that we are not going to end up with anything good if we talk about bitcoin or any of our money with our friends, we should avoid that at all costs if we can.

Or you could just constantly complain about not having any at all, that's what I do, I constantly tell people about how much debt I have, which is true, I have a lot of debt, my income is decent and I will pay my debt of course, so in reality I am not too worried, I am going to do fine eventually, but I do not tell them about my salary, I just tell them the debt, and constantly whine about it, which prevents them from wanting anything.

I only feel comfortable discussing money with family and even then I am not 100% comfortable, to be honest. People are people and no matter how close you feel you are to them, there is always a chance that giving away financial details will end up bad for you somehow, if they talk to others about it.

you have to discuss your financial things with your friends most especially investment, so discussing your business or investment with your friends that will make you to have information that will profit, it's good to discuss business with your friends should incase they have idea of that business, because if they have such ideas it will help you, for some people does not consider that a friend can help them to actualize what they want or what they need if you have a good one they think that every friend that you introduce into your business or you inform him or her what you are doing that will bring a barrier to you so from me I don't believe in such idea what I believe is two head is better than one head

We actually will be safe to discuss crypto with the friends who work in crypto, too. At least, they will have the same perception about crypto. It is different if we discuss about crypto with the people who don't understand crypto. They can feel uncomfortable because they don't know anything about it. So, we don't discuss or talk everything with the people who don't understand it. We must discuss it with the people who know well about it!

We should not disclose how much money or the total holdings we have in crypto or Bitcoin since its posses risk.

But discussing about opportunities I guess there's nothing wrong to talk about this and for sure from other people point of view you can also get a lot of ideas on where you can earn money since for sure that we can also learn from what our friends discuss to us.

When you are with people you call your real friends and not pretenders you should not be so conscious of what to discuss. You discuss contemporary topics and they also discuss how to make money in as much as they are  your friends. It is even fun when your friends are in the same industry with you. If you have cryptocurrency friends then you can should be discussing the Bitcoin price, the latest meme coin to buy and the anticipated good coins for the bull run.

Why you have friends that are in different industries that you do not have experience about, that is where communication becomes a problem and you calculate what to say. But when you are in the same industry with your friends, what to discuss is not lacking.

Cryptocurrencies are not allowed in my country so I can't share this with anyone even if I want to and I can't share the Bitcoin Earning I'm associated with.  However, due to personal reasons, I may have shared my Bitcoin Earning with two people who are closely related. Moreover, if you share the amount of bitcoins or cryptocurrencies you hold with your friends, you must be concerned about security. Moreover, in this age it is not possible to identify which one is a real friend and which one is a fake friend, so it is better not to discuss these issues in the circle of friends.

As someone above said about our country, we are afraid to talk about cryptocurrency in our country. Because cryptocurrency is completely illegal in our country. If I discuss cryptocurrency with anyone, if the administration finds out, I will be punished.

However, it is difficult to find good people in today's age. It is difficult to know which friend is bad and which friend is good. In today's age no one wants anyone's good. Now I will discuss happiness and sadness with my friend. But I think money should not be discussed with friends. Because in today's age brother continues to try to harm another brother. So if I discuss money with one of my friends he may try to harm me. But not all friends are bad, and not all friends are good, so it is better not to discuss money with a friend.

Totally depends on the closeness in between you and your friend because if you do have a bestfriend on which you will be that confident on telling him everything or on whatever you do specially if you do trust up your friend or you are that comfortable on telling with. It will really be basing up on different factors on this case because there are friends on which you are close with that and there are ones that you arent  comfortable with. Therefore, it will really be just that depending on you whether you do share it up or not. We do know that there are people who do changed up when it comes on speaking about money and that what really sucks on this one.

On the time that you are really that sharing up some opportunities then it will really be just that too impossible that there will be no one will be asking out on how you have do it. They will really be that interested on what you are really that doing specially if they've seen you that you are on a good comfortable living.
Discussing money with friends will really be that situational because there are sometimes that lies and boastful about how much you do earn could really happen on this case but on the time that they get busted then this is where arguments will start up.

Maybe this type of discussion will totally depend on how your relationship with your friend is and how close your friend is to you. I often discuss education, sports and business with my friends but never wanted to force anyone or no friend forced me to tell how much wealth or money you have. Moreover, we all know that we invest or trade in various cryptocurrency coins. Even if we share about investment or trading, we never share with anyone what coin we are investing or trading and how much profit we have made from it, basically this is our secret.
