This is quite a very good question and definitely having discussion as this is very crucial and mostly the persons you disclose such information to it's also important as well, so for me I don't discuss my crypto holdings with friends but then there are some friends that have been with you in the long run, those are the people I let them know about my side hustles but not necessarily my crypto holdings so they can also benefits as well.

One of the best things is to have good conversation about to finance and with that you guys can share thoughts on how to improve your finances and even how to invest in other business and for anyone to be my friends I believe that there should be a level of confidence when it comes to having faith in them and for my friends we discuss everything either finance or crypto and even encourage our selfs to do better and that is what true friendship is about.

And my current fiancé is because of the kind of friends I have, and we are always getting bigger because of the kind of friendship we are keeping, and there some advice then I actually need to share to know wether why am doing is right or wrong that will only be with the help of my friends because the sincere truth is that two heads are better than one.

Just that know the kind of people you share your ideas with some don't really care about your ideas so the friends you choose matters a lot.

If only it's a form of marketing to my friend then I'd discuss what fetches me money so that they could do it and I'd make more funds. Aside that, there is no reason whatsoever to follow up in discussion that focuses on what puts food on my table. Generally, we all talk about money and the type of investments we'd wish to venture into, yet I always keep it to a minimal level.

Not for the sake of envy, because I could detect easily when someone is envious, but opening up money making methods could be discouraging to some length since everyone would have their personal take on the matter.
I would say stay away from that too because what makes you money, may not make them money and in that case they will blame you. I remember back in 2018 when a friend of mine asked me about bitcoin and wanted to learn more about it because we were seeing all time high from altcoins and such, so he wanted to get in, and I showed him how, and for a year or so he kept on telling me why things were low and how he could reverse his move and so forth lol, like he could get is money out somehow. I said just keep holding it, and it will get better, and he didn't, after a year of holding, there was a small increase on 2019 and he sold right away, then regrated it when he saw the peak at 2021, and I said I told him to wait.

No reason to get all the blame for them not understanding the objective they have and the advice you give them, for a year he didn2t stopped and asked everyday, it was too boring and I tried to stay away and eventually I got rid of him.

We don't discuss our crypto holdings with friends, do you talk about money as an alternative instead? What I mean is like, talk about what you are doing, your side hustles and how much you're making from it. Is this something you and your friends are open about, or do you typically stick to safer topics like sports and politics? If you don't discuss money, why not? And if you do, how much are you comfortable sharing?"
I don't usually talk about finances to my friends, only if they ask or bring it up. I don't like to talk about how much I earn (or lose), investments, etc. However, at the same time, finances are something I'm more comfortable talking about. Depending on the person, I talk about Bitcoin. Lately, I've been talking less about Bitcoin to them, because relatives and friends always ask me how much i've made with Bitcoin.

In short, it's a somewhat complicated subject to talk about, unless you don't reveal (too much) what you do with your money.

And you guys, how uncomfortable is it for you when relatives and friends keep asking you in an invasive way how much you have earned from investments, and the amount in bitcoin, etc.?

I have few friends, most of them are coworkers, only 1 or 2 who I always talk to and I like them because we always talk about this, about money, about investments, about everything that can bring good and those are the good friends, the ones who talk about money and business, that is why any person cannot be your friend, anyone can tell us they are friends, but if when you turn your back they are already treasoning you, well it is impossible, it is not our profit, on the other hand, the few that we have as friends and they talk about business and investments because they are not selfish, share our ideas to see if our situation improves.

It depends on the friend in question. There are some friends that are envious and jealous. They want only them should have it all. I cannot discuss my financial life with such people, but we can discuss other topics. If it's a friend that is happy with my progress or is always wishing me well, I can discuss my financial life with him but not to the point of telling him how much is in my possession.

Yes, I agree with you, the things you said are completely realistic. In the present time, it is seen that your personal friends are trying to do a lot of harm from behind your eyes. No matter how close your friends are, it is better not to share all your money with them. Because we all know that when he finds out, even if he does not do anything, later if something happens between us, it will be seen that he will try to harm me. Friends will be in life, they are a part of life, but when you mix with them, you have to keep some aspects of your personality hidden.

I think that no matter how close a friend is, it is not right to discuss everything about your money with him. A good friend is an ideal of our life, but that does not mean that I have to share everything with him, some aspects of my personality and personal life should be kept hidden. It is okay to mix with friends, laugh, sing, listen to them, but it is better to keep a little privacy in terms of money. This way, your money will be safe and you will also be safe and you will not have any problems in living a normal life.

When you convince your friend to invest in Bitcoin then they make you responsible for making profit. Whenever you convince someone to invest in Bitcoin then make sure he is wise enough to manage his investment and don't run after you everyday for advice. I have few friends that discuss Bitcoin with me, I do provide them necessary information but never force them to invest in Bitcoin. I always tell them the other side of Bitcoin also that it can go bear and your investment may struck for months. If someone has to invest in Bitcoin then he must have acquire proper knowledge and invest only when he is confident.

I prefer to stick to safer topics like sports. My friends know I’ve done well by buying Bitcoin early but I don’t like to talk about it because it’s awkward, they don’t have the type of money that I do so it makes me different. I prefer to stick to simple discussions like sports, beer & pussy.

That makes sense, I've also realized that whenever the topics about money and investing, I am trying to change the topic quickly because that's not suitable for all of them. And it looks like I am always too good for them although I am not nothing compared to the most of the holders here. I understand that feeling but when someone wants to discuss matters like money, I'm taking my time in talking to them. Because some are really into it and want to change their financial status based on how they're eager to learn from experiences.

Yes, I do. A lot actually. We're all in that stage in life where we have some money and want to protect it and multiply if possible.
My friends are open about their investments, but we don't share exact details. For instance, I don't want people to know exactly how much I hold in cash, how much in which bank, and so on, but I'm open about my crypto investments with my closest friends, especially since they all hold some bitcoin too. There's no point in hiding this when you're the one that got them to buy bitcoin years ago Wink

Here, all members of the Bitcoin community are more or less involved in Bitcoin investments and they keep most of their investments in cryptocurrencies and store them mostly in mobile phone software wallets. Mobile phones are usually carried around at all times, so if all these important privacy issues are shared among friends, then there is definitely a risk in terms of mobility. Especially if the mobile phone is stolen, there is a big risk. So, for now, you should not share Bitcoin-related topics with friends.

It depends on the nature of friendship. There are some friends I discuss money with, some about business, some crypto investment and some sports. Friendship is built on a common interest and where this interest aligns, discussion will spring up naturally. What I do not feel comfortable doing is to share my financial details like what I'm worth and other sensitive information that may stand as a risk to me, of course this also depends on the level of confidence I have in the friend.

Of course I talk about everything with close friends. I've told almost all of my old school friends about Bitcoin in the past 12 years. In the early days, I used to tell them much more excitedly, I'd explain what Bitcoin is based on, how it works etc., now I don't need to because everyone has learned about cryptocurrencies already. I don't talk about Bitcoin in the presence of acquaintances, it's not safe. But I talk about the economy with my close friends all the time.

There's no one in this world can be trusted, including your wife or your parent.

Your parent can betray you when you give them a lot money, which they ask you to hand the money to them. Your wife can divorce when she know you have a lot of money, but she not happy to live with you, she will get 50% of the asset and looking for other man.

Discussing about money to other people is fine as long as you have purpose, like you know know your friend has a business, so you want to invest your money. Or you're an unemployed and you reach people who have jobs in order to get jobs from them.

And the same thing will happen to you, you don't trust anyone then obviously you are not trustworthy to anyone either. And it is you who will betray your parents, not them because they are the ones who gave birth to and raised you. Without them, there would be no you today, not the other way around.
If you don't trust your wife, why would you marry her and suspect she will seek to divorce you just for your money? I don't know if you are married or not, but as a married person, I think if you don't trust them you shouldn't marry them.

I don't know if most people here are rich or if anyone is a millionaire, but I'm surprised to see how people don't like to talk about money with others.
I am not rich and am always looking for opportunities to increase my income, so I even enjoy discussing money related issues with people I trust and think can give me opportunities.

I prefer to stick to safer topics like sports. My friends know I’ve done well by buying Bitcoin early but I don’t like to talk about it because it’s awkward, they don’t have the type of money that I do so it makes me different. I prefer to stick to simple discussions like sports, beer & pussy.
Besides, most of them are not interested in the long term assets like bitcoin. They are in for quick money and they cannot remain stuck to a few assets over time. They want returns quickly - I dont have any.

I think it is safer and easier that way to be - ignorance is bliss, let them be in their bubble and not take the long term route. While at the same time we must remain neutral about bitcoin to protect our anonymity and be profitable at the same time.

Apart from hiding something more private from friends, it also makes them feel inferior because of financial limitations, so discussing simpler and more interesting topics is better than making friends feel inferior because of their limitations. I prefer to treat them with the profits of Bitcoin investment rather than telling them about my long investment journey. At times, they asked me questions, but I chose to give answers about the risks that can arise from Bitcoin investment instead of telling them about the potential profits that can be obtained. When they are ready to face various risks, I will guide them slowly.

I can't give any proof if I'm trustworthy, but I'm sure I have never betrayed anyone, I either cut off or reduce the frequency to talk with people who I don't like.

Not all parents raised their kids very well, many parents are still not qualified to be a good parents. They give birth because they want their kids to make money for them.

Getting marry isn't all about trust, it's naive to completely trust on your partner. Why people get married if they don't trust their wife/husband? because they're forced by social pressure or they want to raise "their own kids" from their blood, not adopt from someone.

Alright, so what's the way to make a lot of money, instant, no risk and easy?

We don't discuss our crypto holdings with friends, do you talk about money as an alternative instead? What I mean is like, talk about what you are doing, your side hustles and how much you're making from it. Is this something you and your friends are open about, or do you typically stick to safer topics like sports and politics? If you don't discuss money, why not? And if you do, how much are you comfortable sharing?"
That would be one of the interesting discussions that men have because talking about money with the opportunities available is the most enjoyable discussion when we get together. But sometimes the difficulty is in implementing it and it may still not be done after a long discussion has occurred. Men's discussions are never limited to one or two things but more they talk about business or investment. I remember the words of my parents, go out to get friends so that you will better understand the process of life's journey and maybe that is in line with what we experience.

The insight when gathering with friends will be broader because there are many experiences that we can use as lessons, especially friends who have life stories in terms of developing businesses or investments that are carried out but that does not mean that every day we have to discuss like this because there are times when we sit just enjoying a cup of coffee.

I myself am more flexible, sometimes discussing crypto (but never touching the nominal), sometimes sports, gambling and many things. But I think they also have the same thoughts, because what we discuss is only about knowledge or updates in the crypto space and we never discuss more private things like showing portfolios and so on. But avoiding that even by not talking about crypto I think there is something missing, because I think discussing crypto is good, because we will share knowledge or experience and once again that is a positive thing.
