We don't discuss our crypto holdings with friends, do you talk about money as an alternative instead? What I mean is like, talk about what you are doing, your side hustles and how much you're making from it. Is this something you and your friends are open about, or do you typically stick to safer topics like sports and politics? If you don't discuss money, why not? And if you do, how much are you comfortable sharing?"
Well, of course, I discuss finances and earnings with my friends, because they are the same fans of cryptocurrencies as I am! We are all interested in who found new projects for investment, who did not guess with technical analysis and suffered losses in trading. All these are lively topics and we are really interested in discussing these useful topics rather than cracking about games and movies, which essentially do not change the number on the balance. But a good deposit is happiness in the fate of any investor.
All of your friends? How did you manage to get a group of people like that. I am the only one in my own group and that is why I end up with not talking to anyone about it. But to be fair, even before crypto, I never told anyone my salary before, so I can say that I always refrained from saying whatever I make.

I do not want my friends to know my crypto income neither, and I am shocked that you are fine with it. Why would you be fine about it, when you know that it is not going to be all that easy to handle for you, it is really not that complicated. You should have some great friends if they are not really interested in making things harder for you, like not want some loan or something, many people lost friends because of stuff like that.

You are right about that because most people have a great friends but they choose not to tell them what they currently have or earning in other to keep there friendship because if he open up to them any little problem they have they will rely on there friend for help undermining that those money has already been invested and when you will try to clear somethings you will be called names and from there the person will realize that he doesn't have a friend again, so I believe you have good reason why you are not open to people about what you have because sometimes someone will be trying to be a good friend but doesn't no he is inviting problem to his door step.

You can find that by joining in bounty hunters group, tech enthusiast, or anything that related to cryptocurrency. But remember, new friends have less empathy than friends from school, hence don't expect the new friends are good friends.

Yeah, that's the reality that happen in every countries.

If you didn't give them loan, they will say you're stingy and you lost your friends.
But, if you give them loan, they will give many excuses when you want your money back, you will lost your friends and money. So, choose wisely. Wink

Although not all, but I also regularly discuss finances, share my income with some close friends and they do the same with me. So far, we are fine nothing happened between us. We are even willing to lend each other money if one of us is in trouble and our relationship becomes stronger instead of cracking or falling apart like many stories here. I don't know if there are cultural differences between countries or where we live, but being more open to close relationships brings more opportunities than risks.

Nowadays, relationships are extremely necessary and important if we want to advance in our careers and increase our income. With the exception of some online jobs, I rarely see anyone who can succeed in work or business fields without relationships, yet it's strange how many people try to avoid them. Besides, how can we have a relationship if we are not open and trusting with each other?

Those who someone refers as friends are people who are close and have known for a while so there should not any reason be not to talk and about your job and what you make as income as these one thing that defines friendship is mutual trust and understand so one should trust his or her friend's to be able to discuss about what they in a living

The reason why you should be telling your work to your friends is because sharing things like that is good and strengthen the bond of friendships that exists between you and your friends because anyone around you and you don't personally know what he or she is doing is not good and you should be careful around such people

Because there are times that not everything we do in life needed to discuss it with out friends. Since somehow there are times that they won't understand on what we are doing that's why even if we discuss bitcoin to them and they are skeptical about it there still nothing will happen and we are just wasting our time with that matter. That's why I usually keep silent regarding on what I know and just talk about this when they ask and show some great interest to participate and take some risk to try investing on Bitcoin.

Talking about it randomly is big no for me since Bitcoin doesn't need hard selling and people just need to find out how good it is and how possibly it can give them good opportunities.

No, I don't like to discuss personal finance, how much I earn from crypto or how much investment I make, too detailed even my own family I won't tell, those people will change when they know the amount of our personal assets, whether they will be evil or good, money is sensitive. However, when talking about opportunities, businesses related to crypto or others, yes I often discuss it, getting insight can come from anywhere, the most important thing is that the person or our friend is on the same path with the same interests.
There have been news of people been attacked by criminals and forced to transfer their crypto to them. These thieves were able to get information about their targets because they exposed themselves as crypto owners. One of the advantage of using cryptocurrencies is that they promote privacy to a large extent. So there is no need to discuss what you own with friends because people cannot be predicated. Your friends might not be criminals, but they can discuss with other who might have bad intentions. So the best option is to keep your worth secret from friends except you are sure they can keep it secret.
A very good and valid point is giving through because now we have criminals are getting some new methods for controlling things, and usually we have innocent peoples gone under their trap which ended on worst even we know our friends and family members but how they have gone wrong for us or our business it's all-time on cards just because of this now keeping things under scrutiny is much better for anyone.

We are living in region where criminals are well organized and also have strong links with insiders politicians and few government officials as well which give them encouragement for having things as they wanted if we want to live peacefully then surely we need to have things keep secret in few cases talking right details are also created problems.

Politicians now have good bonds with administrative officials so that they can get away with various types of work. The people of the country expect security from the administration, but the administration cannot provide security to the people now; instead of providing security to the people, they provide security to the politicians. When I see such incidents, politicians are not looking up to the common people or standing by them, it is very painful. The administration people will be in danger of the people, but now the opposite has happened, they are desperate to provide security to the politicians.

They always keep an eye on how to loot and how to build their bank balance. Politicians get some percentage from looting, so they forget the rules and principles of their administrative work and indulge in injustice and corruption.

If my friend is close to me, we can talk about money or financial problems. We also have other friends who are not close to us but are our friends.
But only with my friends do we talk about finances.

I also don't tell people if I have money, because you know people, when they know you have money, their main thought is to borrow money from you and say that you are friends.
These types of people are hypocritical friends because you are only their friend when they need something from us.

I quite often talk about economics when I get together with friends, and there are many interesting things about economics that we discuss, especially when it concerns income, but I don't share it with just anyone, I will only talk about economics and money with my closest friends because I am very aware that there are many people out there who don't want to hear.

especially for people I just met or friends I'm not too close to, I won't talk about economics and money.

There is a quote that says not all your friends are really your friends. Which is enough for you to keep your financial situation secret from friends. Because a friend today can become an enemy tomorrow, you have to be wise. Even though you shared a business strategy with your friend, there will be a day that you might grow more in the business while he will be falling, so it will be the main reason to start envying you, which might lead your friends to break your business down or even kill you.

The best way to stay safe with friends nowadays is to keep your financial life and plans secret from them and keep discussing football and women with them so that they will think you don’t have anything valuable to do with your life.

Being secretly about money is not a bad idea. We all need to be wise and know the kind of things we ought to tell friends do that we don't suddenly miss the track and keep complaining about friends asking them for too much money. There are so certain things we don't have to tell friends so that we don't later complain that the friend is having financial problems and one can not help. People are quite different and there are some friends we could share our financial success with, without them getting too jealous about it. Once we know the kind of friend that we have, we ought to know what we are doing so that one can differentiate if the person is the right person to disclose such information.

I had to learn that some "friends" are sensitive about this even though it does not appear so.
One of my colleagues has taken on a tremendous amount of debt to be able to construct his dream house.
I wish everybody luck in pursuing their dreams, but people have to be realistic. I know many people who have taken disproportionate financial risks.
Telling them about your financial prosperity and your dreams, while they are at risk of losing theirs, is generally not a good idea.
I do talk about it within limits, depending on how well I know the other person and how he or she is doing financially. But in general I have learned that keeping it basic is the best bet.

Indeed I discuss money with friends but it depends on the receiving side, basically how your friend takes or see the information cause most people seem to craves for such priveledge but when you open up on how you make your money you find just few person's to take it as very crucial. So I believe it's based on one's decisions and readiness to do such tasks.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with talking about your finances with your friends and family but one thing I can tell you a 20 years of experience as a financial advisor. The best piece of advice I can give you is to never listen to your friends or family when it comes to financial advice. It’s OK to hear them out of course and it’s smart to talk about these types of things, but most people act like they know a lot more than they truly do be careful.

It depends on the friend in question. There are some friends that are envious and jealous. They want only them should have it all. I cannot discuss my financial life with such people, but we can discuss other topics. If it's a friend that is happy with my progress or is always wishing me well, I can discuss my financial life with him but not to the point of telling him how much is in my possession.
Yes, there are some people with whom it is better not to talk about money. They feel only envy and nothing more. Why would that be? They are just such people. They have lived their entire lives in poverty and misery. They have seen nothing but pain and suffering from a lack of money. And the most interesting thing is that they do not want to change anything. As I understand it, they are satisfied with the situation they find themselves in every day. Therefore, I see no point in talking to them about such topics. There will be no result anyway.

Yes I do discuss money with Friends but that depends on our closeness and I think we should be mindful of who we discuss our financial matters with . It is crucial to reveal or go deep but some friends can be so funny in the sense that; they can be envious of your own financial success forgetting that they have to learn on how to catch there own fish learning from what you have to tell them.
