OP, the prices you mentioned are still not that high as compare to other countries. In first world countries it's not easy to acquire 50 kg rice at such low rates. I guess Iran is one of the nations where food rates are quite cheap as compared to other nations and as pooya87 said that 1 KG chicken cost $1.3 and that's pretty cheap. In my area the rate of chicken meat is around $1.80 per KG and still that's cheap because in United States it's over $5 per KG of chicken meat if I'm not wrong.

Thats true. Most times you hear the third world countries complain about inflated prices of goods and services but isn’t really the same with developed nations no. That’s because, most developed countries have provided the means for its citizens. The means to getting an income is the major difference and even then, not every one gets the chance to make something for themselves. In third world countries, the lack of means to making an income makes things a lot more worst. Not because the products are over priced but, your require to make expenses and not have the means to get the money for it.

Developed countries may seem to have everything worked out, but its more complicated than that.  They might have better  infrastructure and possibilities in theory, however that doesnt mean everyone is livin large.  For instance, the cost of living is through the roof in various developed places and incomes havent matched that growth.  People are having trouble paying their bills, the same as in many developing countries. OK, maybe not exactly the same, but different economic situations absolutely breed different problems.

I always thought agriculture was very easy in Venezuela since last I checked there didn't look to be any water shortage (like in our neck of the woods) and the soil was good and fertile. So if you are actually from Venezuela and not reporting price from google, can you give us some insight into water, soil and farming in general? Because if what I said is right the prices have to lower, shouldn't they?

Sorry to answer that late. Water if you wish for water supplied by local authorities, be prepared to move a lot.
Caracas some areas in Valencia have plenty and just open your faucet it is posible but you need to be in a well off area.
The regions, some have a good water supply, others are pretty dry, but not as dry as regions in India. about 12 years ago I received water thru piping twice a week. Now its going towards 6 times a year. You can buy 10³ Liter for around $25. If scarce more if plentiful available more conveniently priced.   

The soil is pretty good just farmers don't have too much gasoline, mostly diesel they need. Regions bordering Colombia get their fuel from their neighbors. There is plenty of ignorance what proper agriculture is about. So you get good vegetables, non treated, no genetics.  That you loosen up your soil every once in a while is next to unknown.

Iran is a very underrated country. Many people think that Iran is a poor undeveloped country but that's not reality. We import many foods and medicines from Iran and I also know that Iran has great scientists.

As they say: necessity is the mother of invention. For example the more US sanctioned Iran, the more Iranians had to move toward self reliance. This is why Iran is so advanced in many sciences either on par with the rest of the world or ahead (Nano technology, stem cell research, medical engineering, space technology, ...).

I don't know how true it is but I know from my Gym buddy who is from Iran that there are so many computer science and engineering people in Iran that their salary is low because of high competition. Is that true?
Btw the loan system in your country is very interesting.

As you may recall a couple of years ago after Russian invasion of Ukraine the cooking oil price went to the moon globally.

The point is, it is not always a good decision to give subsidies. At least not in the long run.

I'm against subsidization in every case. First of all, nothing should be free in this world because everything requires work and energy. If you subsidize something, for others it means that this is free and they'll lose the motivation. I never give free money to beggars but when I want to give money, I always get something back from them to show them that they need to do something to deserve it, I do it even if I don't need what I got from them.
Absolutely every government is corrupt and subsidization only gives them the possibility to maximize profit from their corruption. There can be cases like Covid when some people really need subsidization but even in this case, it turns into an evil business for companies like Pfizer, Astrazeneca and others.

The minimum wage is quite low in Nigeria as $43 is quite low and it's really hard to live a happy life with such amounts when wage is low and inflation is high. I believe the government of Nigeria should do something for the citizens either by reducing inflation which's not likely going to happen, or by increasing the minimum wage to at least $130 or somewhat higher than that.

Due to inflation, almost every product in my country has an additional price. Which many people do not have the purchasing power to buy, but still they have no way of not buying those products. They spend money on those daily necessities by reducing their expenses in some other way. Unless the effect of global inflation decreases, the purchasing power of the common people will not increase.

Inflation is affecting all countries including mine and it's getting worse during the Christmas holidays. Traders are aware that lots of people will be interested in buying things during this time hence they'll want to get the best profits that they haven't gotten althrough the year. It's a wrong thing that marketers do but every marketer is doing it as well hence if others don't follow they'll miss out and be left with little profits to restock hen their goods finish because the decision to increase the price of foodstuffs affect every other thing in the economy.

Transportion will get increase because the transporters will want to make more money to be capable of affording the high rising cost of foodstuffs. The comparison of foodstuffs across the world shouldn't be done right now because lots of price inflation is happening because it's end of year.

The prices of food and daily essentials have increased in all countries around the world but I think my country Bangladesh has the highest price increase in the world. The daily necessities to keep people's life and lifestyle are going beyond the purchasing limit of people. Generally those who belong to the middle and lower classes are living a very miserable life as it becomes so difficult to support their families that they are unable to provide nutritious food to their families. Generally during covid in my country the prices of food and daily essentials increased to such an extent that the price never recovered.

Somehow, the hole in the budget needs to be closed. And who else can "help" in this matter, except for the population. More than half of the country is already in terrible living conditions, and now we constantly have to choose those products that are of fairly low quality. There is no other choice. So we have to exist and survive. Soon my country will approach African countries in terms of living standards.

We have inflation in Iran so prices do go up but occasional price hike here depends on the goods. Certain food items that they call "basic" (like rice, cooking oil, meat, etc.) have government monitoring them and they prevent the price from going up by giving the producers certain concessions (eg. cutting taxes). But other goods will go up and down during certain times.

For example we don't celebrate Christmas here since our New Year is on the first day of spring called Noruz but we are now close to Chelleh Night (last day of Autumn) that is celebrated in 4 days from now. So goods like certain fruits, nuts and sometimes confectionery go up. For instance today I saw that price of Persimmon has nearly doubled and is reaching $2/kilo!

It is also hard to post price of other goods you listed because some of them have a very wide range of prices depending on the brand/quality. Like rice. Here there are Rice coming from India and Pakistan that are usually a lot cheaper (lower quality) that start from around $0.5 / kilo if I'm not mistaken and it goes all the way up to top quality locally produced rice in north of Iran that costs $3.7 / kilo. What I buy is in the middle roughly about $1 per kilo.

Tomato price skyrocketed recently out of nowhere and they reached $1.4 per kilo (it is usually $0.35 /kilo).
Tomato paste went up a little $0.88 a can
Onions are $0.4 per kilo.
Chicken is about $1.3 per kilo.
Red meat is about $10 a kilo.
Cooking oil vary a lot. I have to look up stuff like sesame, olive, etc. oil. The usual stuff we buy (I think it is sunflower and Canola oil) is about $0.70 per container that is 810 grams.

The increase in goods continues in most countries now because the economic conditions are unstable and even inflation and recession play a significant role in the current process of increasing prices for goods. My government is starting to consider increasing taxes by 12% and I have not read carefully how it will be implemented, but the efforts made will definitely have a greater impact on the stability of products, especially food, and this will again lead to high inflation that may affect the people in it.

We live in a more difficult way and if we do not have good financial capabilities, we will get into trouble again. How did this happen and even the government itself was unable to make early prevention efforts because the country's economic cycle also experienced a decline such as a deficit and hopefully this can be resolved properly.

Your gym buddy is not wrong, there is certain degree of "saturation" specially in simplest stuff like website design, simple programming, network manager, etc. But people with higher skills are still in demand and can ask for high salaries.

The biggest problem with salaries in my opinion is the delay, which is the time it takes for them to go up to match the inflation.

I've never thought of that. I guess the interest free loans (the Islamic way!) are interesting and that's the only type of loan I've ever taken in my life back when I was a student at the university (because it was free!). The rest is just weird specially the ones you have to "buy some stocks" to get the loan. They just don't make any sense

I live in a country that is not mine and food is not that expensive, but services are, in the country I am from most food is expensive, but services are not expensive, so this is something that is relative, if it is cheap on one hand it is expensive on the other, in some way the system charges you for it, each country is different, it is known that the priority of everything is food, and that is what we must guarantee, so if we only consider food then it is cheap and expensive in some places, but to say in country X it is better because everything is cheaper, so far I do not know of any.

There is also climate change factor, that make extreme weather causing crops failure and lead to increase in price of food. Products such as coffee, tea, and chocolate, for instance, are getting very pricey these days, all because of climate impact. Climate change is causing too many troubles around us which are we missing even many cautions are coming about this, but still things in developing countries are not going as we needed with few countries which are effecting from wars or conflicts are also having trouble time so we are losing our land which is important and can bring cheap and better food for us here I am giving few updates in few countries which are losing their agriculture land due to having other things peoples in these countries are suffering badly.

Housing schemes and towns are spreading, and we are losing our food through as well few voices were going for these things but corrupt peoples those are taking huge personal incentives are not going through for better solution so we can lose more values and our right of having cheap food for us and our kids this could be another problem in near future.

Aside the economical changes across multiple nations, traders in some agricultural states still sell food at a high rate. But not all of them do that, in a land with sufficient food, agricultural products tends to be on a low rate. Then, transportation affects the costs of that same goods when exported to a far destination. Which is the main reason why people who live in a state where foods are being imported complain so much about the high cost of food. As you said, it all varies according to locations.
