Is Hyperliquid the Future of DeFi Trading?

Hello everyone,

Recently, I have been looking into Hyperliquid, and it may turn out to be one of the most exciting platforms in DeFi today. It is based on a custom  Layer 1 blockchain with no gas fees, its on-chain order book for example  boasts unparalleled clarity and swiftness for perpetual trading.

What really caught my eye though, is how the ecosystem's token HYPE maintained a strong price trend even after launching on CEXs. It is still early which makes it feel like the perfect time to dive in, especially with their CandyBomb event rewarding early adopters.

I will love to hear your thoughts. Do you see Hyperliquid as the next big thing in DeFi? Let's have a chat!

Yes, it is. It's a fresh decentralized exchange with no Venture capital money and everything on a freshly built Layer 1 chain.

Funny that nobody knows it yet in crypto but better for us to buy early =)

yeah, for the simple fact that their trading volume is humongous



compare it to its competitor like AEVO, those are nothing compared to hyperliquid, so it's indeed the next big thing in DeFi, the only DEX that could compete with CEX.
the other just falls behind.

exactly, I heard funding rate for perpetual in hyperliquid is so high that's why I haven't made my first trade there, wonder if that statement holds truth.
because if that's true, then that's such a bummer, because finally DEXes have something good coming up.

I've seen plenty of people trading perpetuals on hyperliquid and apparently they seem to be doing fine, just funding rate is my concern.

Yes exactly for like HYPE/3x max on HyperLiquid you pay like 0.01% EVERY hour while you can 12.5x HYPE on Bybit with 0.01% every 8 hours

I'm not aware of what you're saying, but it seems to have a large daily volume, and if so, it's possible that it could be noisy during these bull seasons that we're facing now.
I just don't know why I just heard about it now or maybe it's just not updated on dexes like this.

That means a lot of crypto communities are using what you're saying, in terms of futures funding, and it seems like a lot of investors are also benefiting
from it in my opinion.

Yes many portals like coinmarketcap (owned by Binance) don't want to list DEXes like Hyperliquid cause they basically promote their competitors

I have been a hyperLiquid user for over a year and although I'm a small time user/player, their products are quite innovative and interesting. For instance, I have used their HLP  vault for several months even though it's not the fastest passive income, I've made some money just deploying stables to the vault. I imagine this product will be useful for the deep pocket guys.

If we want to talk about their perps DEX, it's simply the best and they even have SPOT markets similar to how a CEX have spot and futures. I'm hearing some chatter that options market are all the way to hyperLiquid.

I guess this is the only disadvantage of peer to peer funding on hyperliquid, but regardless i've seen plenty of long or short position with big profit so I guess it still works and actually not a concern knowing people are still using hyperliquid perpetual.
also, CEX's funding rate cap usually so high anyway at times, so sometime it can be higher than hyperliquid.

Yeah it's more when you would want to hold positions for longer than a day otherwise you will think about fees twice

Btw HYPE is at 34$ rn (+35% in the last 24 hours) even though Bitcoin is going sideways. You guys miss something big.

I have also been intrigued by Hyperliquid and its potential in the DeFi space. The lack of gas fees and the on-chain order book are definitely appealing features that set it apart from other platforms. I've used a lot of DeFi primitives and protocols over the course of this year and I can tell you for free that HyperLiquid team built something revolutionary and all of it is entirely onchain. HyperLiquid has both spot and futures markets and I think it's the only perps DEX that offers such sophistication. I got liquidated there a few times longing FTM but my experience was good overall.

I believe when their EVM goes live, we'd see a lot more from hyperLiquid even enough I think their current products are good.

I share the same sentiments as you regarding $HYPE being the next big thing and from the listing price and trade volume, you can tell. I'm certain most people will take advantage of the poolX event to increase their chances of earning.

Also, unlike most decentralised exchanges, Hyperliquid is more cost effective. Most people are very much interested in this feature when deciding on what Dex to use.
