Wouldn't it be better to talk to local cafe owners?  I doubt you'll find more than a handful of bitcoin enthusiasts within a certain neighbourhood.

Yes, that's a good idea. First, check the number of people who are cryptocurrency enthusiasts so you'll have an idea if the number can support the cost of the establishment that you want to set up. You have to know the numbers, and you must know how to market this concept in your community.
All I know is we'll have something like this in the future; there may be fast food, not only bars for cryptocurrency enthusiasts; everything is possible now for cryptocurrency.

I think I'd give it a try if such a place is available in my area, although I'm using crypto for digital transactions most of the time. The convenience of paying for VPNs or something similar with crypto is excellent. I'm not sure if I can feel the same with offline payments. I guess it depends on the setup of your payment processor. I don't think waiting more than 10 minutes for 1 confirmation would be attractive for most users.

Speaking of which, I believe a crypto club (mainly targeted for crypto events, not entertainment) already exists in my country. I remember visiting their websites a few months ago. They don't accept crypto payments because my government doesn't allow it, but they're quite active.

It depends on where you live and how active the bitcoin and crypto scene is in your area. The success or failure of your crypto social club will also depend on if something similar already exists close to you. In that case, you would have to do better and offer your potential customers something extra that they won't get elsewhere. Ask yourself, how much activity and interest would your club arouse in your neighborhood, and do you have the financial means to open, register, and advertise its existence?

I doubt these type of people are all going to be found in a single neighborhood and that being said this group of people are extremely privacy oriented and would not dare to show their faces to each other. Beyond that it is going to become a place for police lookouts because of they are involved in shady deals. Would end up being an FBI honeypot instead of a drinks bar.

The easier thing is to integrate the payment systems to bitcoin payments. It is lacking from where I live.

You won't be able to succeed if you solely focus on crypto because the number of crypto users is still low and the number of crypto transactions isn't high. I think that the best approach would be to create a local social club that won't be focused on crypto but will be focused on the most profitable business model in your area and offer crypto payments as an additional payment method. By adding crypto as a payment method, you can attract the attention from media and promote your business with minimal financial efforts. To my mind, that's the best thing that you can do with crypto. This process will also slowly increase Bitcoin adoption because then competitors might try to adopt it.

Do you already have your own club? If you do, its easy to introduce Bitcoin there, but if you are just setting up a club for cryptocurrency, better check your locality to see if there exist communities of cryptocurrency supporters. Don't just concentrate on cryptocurrency usage in your club; make the club a great place to hang out because of the ambiance and entertainment and drinks your club can offer.

I am in Austin, TX, which has an active crypto community. re: neighborhood/locale, I am anticipating this as a destination for crypto enthusiasts across the city rather than as a neighborhood spot. I am a member of a private club with a strong community and would love to see that available for the community. I have experience and an opportunity to bootstrap a club. Before I reach out to the local crypto groups, I wanted your feedback. The vibe of the place would be a quasi-illicit speakeasy and casino during the evening and a coworking space during the day.

How about collect a thousand signatures from local residents who want this?   That would be a start in convincing an investor that others share your idea.

Tbh, cafes are social gathering places.   Cafe and crypto can be a great mixture if you execute it nicely; you can get people’s feedback in your area, also Vod’s idea is nice as well.   However, if you want to maximize profits, it’s best to make a cafe where non-crypto people can come and learn, a more beginner-inclusive project would be really cool.   If I were you, I would start by asking people around with polls such as : ‘Would you want a cafe and rest that is crypto themed?’, etc.

I'm not really familiar with the ins and outs of starting a new club, but would the crypto community put your new place on a priority list to visit just because you accept crypto? I don't know your criteria for "strong community" is. Are they diehard fans who would ignore other factors as long as they can use their crypto?

Anyway, I don't think integrating crypto/Bitcoin as your payment option is going to be difficult. If anything I'd focus more on making your club competitive if there are competitors in your area first by doing things like offering cheap prices, etc. The business that I mentioned above also offers co-working space if I remember correctly, but I don't think the demand is high. To be fair it will differ based on where you run your business. CMIIW.

To add to this, he should also try to understand if their country is that bitcoin friendly and if people around there are having interest in bitcoin and cryptocurrencies entirely before implementing such concepts. On a stance, there are other shops, mall within my region that accepts cryptocurrency payment before the government were so stringent and about their regulation and restrictions from sellers and mall who were accepting payment through these currencies. And of course we are heading to that stage where people would want to be buying almost everything with Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, the used of fiat may likely be of an options.

There are already places like this in many countries around the world, one of them even created ANN topic in bitcointalk forum but I can't find it now.
You can also find maps like btcmap.org with location of all many business, bars and shops that accept Bitcoin payments, and some of them are good places to meet like minded people.
Orangefren, eXch and other exchanges are also organizing meetups sometimes in different locations.

You need to do a feasibility study on this in your area. Check if there are people who are into cryptocurrency, and what is there idea of having a bar or a hub exclusively for them or open to everyone who wants to learn about cryptocurrency?
Your idea is not really unique. We are 2024, over ten years of cryptocurrency existence and for all you know, there are actually people who are into cryptocurrency looking for a place like bar to hang in your area, Make it attractive to cryptocurrency enthusiast by displaying paraphernalia and posters about cryptocurrency
