It's a get fun to have this type of competition in this our local board. Lots of thanks to Mia Chloe who have organized this. I've decided to participate in this competition with my two dishes.
👉👉Our commonly like Papas and Mamas Yoruba food called Pounded yam (Iyan) with Egusi soup
👉👉Bean (Ewa) with Stew.
POUNDED YAM WITH EGUSIIngredientsOnion
Fresh red Pepper
Cray fish
Grounded melon
Ponmo
Locust Beans
Igwu leaf
Fresh tomatoes
Fried Meat
Seasons
Palm oil
Yam
PREPARATION FOR EGUSI SOUPMix the egusi with water to form a paste in a small bowl.
Heat palm oil in a cooking pot for few seconds, add sliced onion and egusi
(gradually in balls).
Fry for 2 mins and add grounded pepper Allow it to fry together for some minutes.
Add water, salt, ponmo, cray fish and seasoning.
Allow to cook for 20 minutes,then finally add your sliced igwu leaf and your fried meat.
Leave it to steam for 4-5 minutes.
PREPARATION FOR POUNDED YAMWash yam and peel.
Slice after peel, wash thoroughly and cook with water till completely soft in a clean pot
Pound the yam with mortar and pestle till soft and sticky
Add hot water if found hard to soften it to your desire taste.

PREPARATION FOR STEWHeat palm oil in a cooking pot for few seconds, add sliced onion and add your grounded fresh red pepper.
Allow it to fry together for some minutes and then add little water, salt, locus bean, dryfish, ponmo and seasoning.
Leave the whole thing to fry together for minutes
Stir at interval to prevent it from burning.
PREPARATION FOR BEANSWash Beans and cook with water till it become soft (depending on your desire) and dry.
When cooking the beans, add some salt(not really necessary i.e depend on ones choice).
