5x times is good enough to sell; 10X then I will be extremely lucky; it really depends on the amount you've invested. A $10,000 investment and 10x profit is very satisfying. You need to set up your target. I usually sell 50% at 5x profit and sell everything at 10x profit with a promise not to regret if the profit goes higher.
Its ok to be greedy, but you have to be aware that too much greediness can eat your profit if you happen to sell late.

I'm only aiming for 2x - 4x during the bullrun. I don't have expectation to get like 10x or even 30x, which don't even make sense. I know a few alts were offering such potential, but the question is will they able to achieve it?

Aiming for 10x - 30x ROI looks real only if you're dealing with the meme token, and sounds impossible to happen with Utility token which has VCs who will dump their tokens on you.

It's also quite impossible to accurately predict the bullrun, and i wonder if you have not reached your target to get like 10x, are you willing to hold your portfolios for years? 

It doesn't sound rational to miss opportunity to sell at peak, then buy at the bottom. I'd call you crazy if you're choosing hold it as long as you can until it reaches your target.

5x from Altcoins is enough if you try to profit more than that you may lose some opportunities which you will regret later.  So in this bull season your highest target should be Altcoins which have 5x potential are already high in price so I don't think it is a very good plan to buy any coin at this time.  However, if you feel that it is still a good time to invest in a coin after analyzing it for the long term, then you can do so. But I personally am not interested in waiting to take more than 5x profit

The 5-10x profit is more than enough for altcoins you should be able to utilize well because if the market experiences an altcoin correction it will go down deeper and it might be a regret if you sell it late.
I don't have a lot of altcoins, just a few in the wallet and the target is not too high 5x of the profit will be sold immediately.
But seeing now that the market is correcting, it seems good to buy a few more altcoins.

Alt coins that can give these outcomes are availability but trading or investing on them is very risky because they can fail at the same time.

Must times, when I hold altcoin, I do always hold Alcoins that I am very sure of and I trust the must, or some coins with potential in the future, but I don’t usually set a benchmark for myself, I do take profit whenever I am satisfied, and I do leave my coin if it is in the downward direction provided I know and I believe the project.

Only Bitcoin investment is the investment I trust the most, and I will always hold for long because of the bright future of Bitcoin.

I don't actually have an exact percentage or figures in mind towards deciding on when to sell my alts. But when I see that there's opportunity to sell it when the market is green for those alts I hold then will decide to sell it. I don't want to bag hold alts that's why I always think about doing quick decision and will not consider any possibilities for more pumps since for me profit is profit and I will not get bothered on any potential pumps like what other people say.

But for sure other people have different opinion regarding on this matter since for sure they have their own strategy upon selling their bought alts.

Been buying altcoins for a few years now and for me to feel like it’s been worth it I want a 10x minimum when I sell next year.

My main 2 altcoins are currently XRP & Hbar and I am almost up 5x on both and holding until I get 10x minimum which I know I will get next year, just not sure when.

Not sure if you are joking but if you are not then that is awful advice , altcoins are going to go a lot higher over the next few months.

You are going to leave a lot of money on the table if you cash out of your altcoins completely at 5x.

A 5x return is good yes but they can go a lot higher , especially as we approach 2025 which is going to be the peak year for this cycle.

Sell everything and made out some buybacks on the long crypto winter season. I have already learnt out on doing such thing considering that i have experience a couple of cycles on which you can be able to obtain up much more better rather than on holding up your position for too long. If you gained something from your positions in the end - that is what matters.
And that comes from experience, knowledge, and much more.

I've sold 85% of my altcoin assets already, I am certain that they will not do so much as they've already done. Altcoins are so volatile, so it's smart to divest when you have the chance. Those who invested early must have made between 3-10x of their money in various altcoins, so it's a good thing for them. But if you are someone who invested late, just know that you've missed out on that jumbo winning as most altcoins may not do 2x anymore, let's be careful as we are getting closer to the bearish season daily.

its close to impossible have the same time frame for all altcoins. also you must watch closely updates like forks, new implementation, real use case and so on.
personally, I am trying to sell all "POS" coins. I don't think these are something profitable unless specific period of their life.
for sure some "crappy coins" ( these are more stupid than a classic shit coin) are still collected since few euro will not made any difference.
generally, the best resource is always to avoid these speculation. trying to be the "Buffet" of crypto is completely stupid since its more easy lost money and not to earn.
Yes I know that someone has been able to earn crazy amount of money, but other people have lost such huge amounts too...

It depends when you buy the altcoin.

If you were buying in the bear market then 30x return with Altcoins is possible. If you are only buying now then it’s still possible but more difficult.

If you take Hbar for example, my average is $0.04 and it hit $0.37 a few weeks ago which gave me over a 9x return. The current price is $0.32 so I now only need it to 4x from current price to give me a 30x return from the price I got in at $0.04 which is definitely possible next year.

Well it’s never a good idea to sell your entire stack but there are times when taking profit is essential. Altcoins still seem to follow the standard four year Bitcoin cycles which most of us are familiar with. Obviously the answer to your question is to sell when you are in profit. To maximise your profits though you should sell some in halving year and one year post halving, specifically the year post halving so that’s next year.
