When will you sell your alts?

Well it’s never a good idea to sell your entire stack but there are times when taking profit is essential. Altcoins still seem to follow the standard four year Bitcoin cycles which most of us are familiar with. Obviously the answer to your question is to sell when you are in profit. To maximise your profits though you should sell some in halving year and one year post halving, specifically the year post halving so that’s next year.

that way you can take advantage of the halving, and that is an effective way even though it does not always affects the price that occurs in the market, but of course it depends on demand that is done by taking advantage of the increase, but in reality it depends on your own research in the market and that can also determine the direction that is expected.

Trust me there are many coins that will do a 30x return , it’s very easy once u get in early enough.

I find making 10x really satisfying and enough but you have to be very lucky to achieve this, I tried it a few times but I wasn't lucky enough.
5-6x can be done more easily, sometimes I didn't like a good profit and this eventually led me to a bigger loss.
I don't think I can be patient for 10x, I set smaller goals now to be realistic, so if I make 5x profit on an altcoin, I will sell it immediately.

3-5x return is too big for me based on my knowledge and what I understand about crypto. so I don't try to profit more than that because I might face losses.

I don't have a lot of altcoins, just a few in the wallet and the target is not too high 5x of the profit will be sold immediately.
But seeing now that the market is correcting, it seems good to buy a few more altcoins.

Usually investing into altcoins most risky thing for me because I never feel comfortable with this, but recently I have few good suggestions which helps me a lot, so I joined many which give me good return just because of this I also love to be targeted around 3 to 4 because sometime greediness kills and I never try to have things which ended on bad end as peoples love to go ahead until 10x to 12x, or I watch few wants to go more aggressive which are never been good deal.

I am okay with 5x-10x of gain as well. I am not expecting to have that much but if it won't be 5x-10x, it's still fine. I'm now living to the thought of profit is profit and I will not ask for more and that's much better than losing some 5% of even more with the thought that I can earn more from these altcoins. I'm okay, not expecting too much and satisfying myself of being content with what I have. Although sometimes I am thinking of lottery altcoins that might give tremendous gains but I guess it's not for me. But lucky are those that are able to make that for themselves.

10 times profit or more can only happen on bull run, and I'll definitely cash it out but will still retain a portion in case there's another round of profit in the past. The highest that I can profit is twice the profit because, after the market reaches its all-time high, correction follows immediately.
Its important that you never miss your profit; its your reward for the long wait, but be sure to have substantial coins in your portfolio, Profit keeps coming if there are good news in the industry.

Everyone as you can see have a different approach, you just have to find yours. Sometimes some people do that whenever they end up with something that takes time but they wait until it goes 10x or they just buy and hold, until they retire or something, like they completely get out .Or some people just buy and wait for double, then take out the investment and keep the profit, some just wait for a while like double and get out fully.

Basically, there are many different ways and I would say that you need to find yourself one that would make sense and you would end up with a good return based on that. There is no other way possible, you just have to do whatever you have to do and return will be good enough I am sure.

I have a target for each coin that I am holding, and coins are always going to be performing more than each other, What I do expect from some coins is not always more than 2x, and if they can do it for me, I do take my profits and move on. The 5x-10x that you mentioned is really achievable within a short period of time if you are able to hold some good altcoins, but 30x which you mentioned, is just too high, it’s going to be difficult to get an altcoin that’s going to give that kind of return, only if you are putting your money in shitcoins, which the chances of losing your money is so high, and chances of making your profit are low.

What coins do you think will give you up to 5x to 10x? Maybe memecoins can do that, especially the ones that have low market capitalization. Maybe the ones that are below 5 million dollars. I think it will be very hard to see a project that has up to 1 billion market cap to hit 5X to 10X. It will be very hard but we could see something like that with small projects that suddenly gained huge adoption in the market. I don't have any intention about selling some altcoins now. I am more focused on seeing the price of Bitcoin going bull and creating more money from holders. This is time to relax and watch your crypto portfolio grows.

5-10% profit is absolutely good especially gaining such profit during the bull season, when to sell can be considered mainly viewing bitcoin price it’s expected some coins might rise alongside bitcoin market possibly this is the right time to sell off few coins while selling all is not a bad decision. If I may ask how sure the 30% profit is certain and confirm because holding a coin with no potential is painful and when dealing with altcoins sell when the price is favorable so you don’t regret.

The reality of this situation is toughest, this has to be something that changes a lot more, so we are not talking about a certain number to sell, that's rarely the case, it's a "feeling" in most cases. Even if people say a certain number now, they are not going to really end up with anything profitable just because they ended up doing something like this.

We need to realize that most people sell when they "feel" like they are ready to sell. Sometimes this is more about how they fear it will go down more, sometimes it's about them feeling it's enough, it could be different reasons bhut most of them are all about feeling to get out and that's the reality. So things aren't always easy, we need to realize that without a doubt.

I'd be happy with 5x returns as well. Depending on the coin and the occasion, I wouldn't mind accepting a lower return, such as 3x. I've accumulated a variety of altcoins due to Binance's launchpool projects and airdrops. I haven't been bothered to sell them because I don't think it's actually worth it yet. Some coins, such as OM, PEPE, or FUN, have shown great performances, especially OM; if I remember correctly, it's more than 5x its original value, while I'm also holding a few decent options as well. The truth is that the altcoin season hasn't properly started; thus, I don't think I'm ready to sell anytime soon; the timing doesn't feel right.
