It is unlikely that anything will change. Overall, the situation will only get worse. Because the super-rich systematically want to squeeze the middle class into poverty. The middle class is very burdensome for them. Because in order to maintain a consumer society, mass production is necessary. It harms the environment.
In general, in the history of capitalism, working people have never lived well (they worked 16 hours a day for pennies), but only until the emergence of communism. It was the fear of communism that led the super-rich to create a middle class as a pillar of society. Since communism was defeated in the Cold War, the middle class was no longer needed.
Covid was just the first step. Therefore, nothing can be done on a societal scale. I agree with your point of view because I also faced that kind of situation and that was due to friends. When your friends are free and they are addicted to anything then they will give you bad suggestions and you will go to high value restaurants . These restaurants will pay more because they have good fame . There are millions of people who are poor because of this reason because they have bad childhood friends and they are destroying their financial situation and they you are going down . But you should leave that kind of persons and should learn more about money and saving. People might recognize that we have recovered from COVID-19, I think it's all in our minds because it's no longer being talked about. But OP is right that the numbers don't sum anymore. The price have been inflated and this is the reason why I think that everything don't really put into tally because of the rising cost of living. And for a normal worker to survive with all of this, going to 9-5 jobs and that's it. We've got some food in the table but the expenses for the bills are a different thing and that's why we need to hustle some more. We need to find additional jobs to have another source of income. I guess we're all living just for the bill to get covered. If you are someone that earns weekly then the money you make should planned to cover your needs for at least a week while you wait for the next pay. Some might say there would be a slight change in making your budget due to inflation and so on but I doubt that, you can overspend when emergencies occur but asides from that every other thing can be cut down. Learn to cut down cost whenever you can. This would help you maximize whatever you earn.

Indeed, this is another form of false loyal on the employees end, sticking with a company that doesn't threat workers well isnt advisable. What you said is true and it should be attempted. But in certain circumstances there are times when it cannot be avoided especially if there are additional spices that make us down even though there is weekly income but it is still inadequate and this is exacerbated by other debts that must be taken to support the increasing cost of living of course the money coming in is not comparable to the expenses.

The costs of everything has gone up but if someone from other countries and earns dollars and other stronger currencies will live here, you'll live like a king. This is where you would really be having that trust no one kind of thinking or belief in life on which you will really be that sticking into it and this is why some people will really be having always those suspicions whenever they are really that recieving something in exchange for some favor or whatsoever. The economy is becoming worse everyday that's why the amount you bought a liter of petrol yesterday is not the same today. Inflation is making things becoming very expensive in the market and fiat currency is also becoming worthless everyday.

That's mainly because inflation hurt the economy so bad, but none of our salaries got up with it. Dollar has a lot of devaluation and while that's going on, most people have the similar salary or a bit higher but not enough to cover the cost of new living. Because, these days we should be getting like double what we are making in 2020 to make it work in most nations, and that's why it's bad.

Thankfully, I am a freelancer, so I do not have that trouble much, sure I could use with like a bit of increase, but not a lot, whereas I see most of my friends making like double what they use to make, to live the same life, which is sad but the reality that covid brought us. The impact of the pandemic was very large during the pandemic and post-pandemic, and until now the impact is still there. Starting from looking for work, the cost of living increases due to inflation and many businesses have fallen, to the increasing unemployment rate, the shift in consumer behavior has also changed since the pandemic. All of this still has an impact until now, not to mention the government that doesn't care, even many officials are corrupt, so that people's suffering increases.

Other impacts due to unemployment can cause financial instability, stress, anxiety and reduced self-esteem. This can also result in a decrease in quality of life, because the unemployed can have difficulty meeting basic needs. Not to mention the rapidly developing digitalization technology has caused many victims of layoffs that cannot be avoided. The solution is that we must be more creative in finding work in utilizing increasingly developing technology, if not, then we must focus more on the three pillars of the macro economy (food, clothing & shelter).

Before now when money still have value you go to the market with a little money and you are able to buy items that would carry you and your household comfortably till the end of the month after receiving salary, but now no matter how much you take to the market you will be shocked to see you exhausted the money only in very few items which will not carry you any where before your next salary. Most times, in these days workers owe depts more than their salaries even before the end of the month. By this they try to pay part of the depts, and manage with the rest part of the money and they will end up owing more depts added to the one of the previous months. This is how the circle goes on and on. This has made survival very difficult for the average salary earners making it  very very difficult to save from their earnings.
There has to be a government intervention to help control inflation level or there has to be an increase in salary that will be equivalent to meet up with the current cost of living.

The salary has not gone up as much as the costs. Life is too hard now and even with two income earners in a household, expenses are so much you have to give out all your money to pay stuff without being able to save much if at all.

This is the plight of most workers because working doesn't guarantee you to luxury because you have a fixed salary scale depending on the type of job that you're into this is the reason that people say that working for someone is slavery because you're always limited in what ever that you do because of the limited financial situation that always follows workers and with the current inflation that most countries of the world is experiencing things are even more worst now for the ordinary worker as the price of goods and services has significantly increased
