Anyone bought KASPA?, ive got a small bag however the price has recently dropped. The shills are claiming $10 in the bull run from its current $0.12 but it has hardly moved outside range in the last 12 months or so.

The tech on paper looks good a kind of mini bitcoin 2 but with a much larger supply of 25 billion to bitcoins 21 million, hence its called bitcoin silver by the KASPA community.

What are people`s thoughts on this?

My first impression of Kaspa is that "money" is just one application. It is a distributed ledger, and if it is truly scalable, then its potential extends far beyond just money. If we can instantly generate a hash , and attach that hash to information or data, and we can store that hash on the BlockDAG while the actual data resides anywhere, including centralized platforms. Then the hash just becomes a method of trust verification.  Is the information real? Is data real?  is this video real?  It basically can prove ownership... instantly.  In this way, Kaspa functions as a distributed ledger of trust because value extends beyond just money.

And if we extrapolate this further by incorporating smart contracts and zero-knowledge proofs etc, then Kaspa evolves into this "thing" that vies for the open financial system of the digital economy.  I am still wrapping my head around this, but this is my impression. We have never had an an improvement of the Byz Generals Problem because scalability was a limiting factor. This means that Kaspa can process transactions at a far greater scale while maintaining Byz fault tolerance, a breakthrough that many have assumed was impossible without sacrificing decentralization or security.  If true this could get really really big.

never take people's speculation on their own bag seriously, they can be saying the coin might go 100x, but reality never come close to that.
KASPA is just another altcoin, might be forgotten in the next cycle, the tech on paper hardly matter for altcoin, hype is the one that make the coin stay afloat, there are plenty of coins that got revolutionizing techs and internal mechanism but most of them fail to odl ethereum with low TPS, think about it.

I would consider kaspa as like any other medium-low sized volume coin, probably not gonna have a good run in this bullrun unless BTC.D dropped drastically.

I have heard this from a friend of mine like a year ago, this guy is a very techny person, and as he knows that I'm into crypto or Bitcoin for many years now, he suggested to me this project to look at it and maybe I would invest as well. However, I wasn't able to do full research except that the people behind this project is really that good and recognized amongst the developers community. But still though, it might not be the gauge or will not be enough. So for me still a 50/50, it could be successful if investors are going to find this project really that good, or it will be just swept out of the rugs with so many altcoins in the market right now. We don't even have a full bull run yet as far as altcoin market goes.

I think you are misunderstanding/using KASPA, most of its popularity comes from the fact that its mining is cheaper than its selling price, so if you do the right calculations, you will be able to mine it and make profits even if the price remains stable. Therefore, it is far from trading pairs, pump/dump coins, and if you do not have a good background in mining, it is better to stay away from it.
